I'm excited for this movie. Winona looks absolutely gorgeous as always.
Monica Bellucci and Willem Defoe are literally two cherries on the cake
I'd argue those two are the biggest draw for me - ever since they announced this I've been.. lets call it "cautious" about getting my hopes up, and quite frankly.. this trailer didnt ease that feeling, at all.
But Bellucci and Dafoe kill it in everything, so that's a plus.

My dad was so obsessed when the original Beetlejuice back in the day so we plan on taking him to the movies to watch this one 🙌🏻

Tim is using the Beetlejuice animated series as the backdrop in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.🤙I have always love the Beetlejuice cartoon from day one debut.😍 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is awesome.🤘
Love the practical effects ❤
I think the sandworm is still done using stop-motion, but they're just doing it better now, due to the advancement of stop-motion techniques, which is why it looks a little smoother. The tone and color palette is on point, and they're still using practical effects for the most part. I had no idea that Willem Dafoe and Monica Belucci were in this, and Monica is rocking the Corpse Bride look, and she looks amazing. Winona looks fantastic too.
Beetlejuice is back after 36 years

If you remember in the first Beetlejuice movie he had a finger with a ring on it from his ex-wife if you look at Monica's character she's missing her ring finger
I always love to see you two together here!❤❤ With the tiring of CGI, nostalgia is really in right now. Films would due well to bring back more practical effects in films.

I have never watched Beetlejuice. So far, at least. I did, however, watch the animated series on Cartoon Network growing up.

You know, the one scene with the tapping hand, casting choice and directing history... Part of me can't help but headcanon this and Addams Family as some sort of spooky shared universe setting. Not saying I want them to ever make a crossover mind you, Hollywood would absolutely butcher it similar to how Aliens and Predator versions have turned both franchise into cheap cash grabs, but, WOULD be cool to see a small easter egg or nod tucked away here or there.
LOVED the first one but this one feels too new and real. Doesn’t feel like the classic movie film look.

My late mother would've loved to see this Frfr 💯. This was our all time favorite movie. And the fact it's finally getting a sequel is awesome. And with the new addition of William Defoe and Monica Bellucci we finally get to see Beetlejuice ex wife and what Defoe brings into this awesome reaction ladies Frfr 💯💯
The best part of the original was Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton’s performance as Beetlejuice. As long as they don’t phone it in, I think it’ll be good.

The woman with red hair is Catherine O'Hara, she was also in the original Beetlejuice. . I first saw her in the Second City TV comedy series, she's a great comedian.
it probably wasn't shown well in the trailer but Tim Burton is still using practical effects rather then CGI and the sand worm is still stop motion.

To anyone who watched the original movie and knows the legal stuff about the actor who played winona ryder's dad in that first film you know he's the guy who's died at the start of the trailer.
You also know he died because they say it right at the beginning "grandpa died" so yeah...

if you pause and look at the lady with the sewn up face (Monica Bellucci) when she's holding up her hand to the side of her face you'll see she's missing her ring finger. as in the finger from the end of the first movie. thats his ex(?)-wife. Plus, when he lite his thumb and blew the wall open doesn't that remind you of the Cartoon?

Geenan davis and Alec Baldwin they both are significantly older they couldn't bring them back because they are ghosts in the first movie and ghosts don't age so they would have to do significant de-aging which wouldn't work for their characters also Alec Baldwin is going through the Cort case about someone dying on his latest movie he wouldn't be available emotionally for this movie

Here’s the thing. In the movies, Beetlejuice is a creep that tried to force Lydia to marry him. In the cartoon, they’re like best friends. That’s always seemed weird to me.
Something also tells me that Michael Keaton is going to get more than 15 minutes of screen time this time. Bet you he’s really appreciative of that too.

There’s something off. It doesn’t look cinematic. It feels more like a trailer to a TV show. I hope I’m wrong but we will see.
That's how everything feels to me anymore. Maybe it's because most TV and streaming shows now are going for a cinematic feel and the distinction is getting muddled. Something has to look very grand or artistic to read as what we perceive to be cinematic now.

It is quite unique that Tim Burton made a sequel. The reason is he doesn't like making sequels for any of his movies...
