- Lawyers on behalf of the MK Party have sent a letter of demand to the Secretary of Parliament and the Chief Justice asking both offices to refrain from convening the first sitting of parliament.
The legal representatives have told SABC News that failure to comply with the letter of demand will result in court action.

The MK PARTY has a dispute with the IEC on the disputed results it announced. For that reason the MK PARTY lodged a case with the ELECTORAL COURT and the MK PARTY argues that until its case is dealt with it won't be attending the PARLIAMENT sitting.

Composition and attendance........ The composition of 350 - 400 has been met and MK is part of that. The fact that MK wont attend does not mean that they are not members. MK has been given or received 59 seats in Parliament.

You are not a member of National Assembly until you are sworn in. Being elected is but one thing but being sworn in is what constitutes one being a member of Parliament. Therefore the National Assembly does not meet the composition threshold without the MK. Let's not mislead the viewers.

This guy claims "as soon as the results were declared last week, 58 members of the MK party are members of parliament, that is beyond any dispute" - he is a liar.
The IEC does not create parliament by mere announcement of the election results. The elected person MUST be sworn-in as members of parliament. Upon taking oath of office, it is then or only then are they members of parliament (MPs). Just like a president-elect is not officially a State President until he or she is sworn in.
What I said above maybe disputed. But it is Disnformation for the guy to claim his version is "beyond any dispute".

How did MK missed it deadline when its lawyers addressed the Nation of Announcing Election Results?
Unless captured courts also refused to listen to Aggrieved Parties because we know these so called courts how they have eyes to see who to listen to and not to!
Before election results were announced, MK and other parties raised issues with IEC. IEC went over all the issues and provided feedback to the parties. They then announced the results. If any party including MK were unsatisfied, they then had three days to file legal complaints with the electoral court. This is the crucial step they missed. All the other parties who initially raised issues with the IEC before results were announced, said they were satisfied with the feedback they received. Only the MK is trying to drag this out.

Had the MK had an issue with this decsion, the onus was on them to lodge a filing with the Electoral Court three days after the IEC handed them their verdict. That deadline was last week Wednesday and nothing was filed in the Electoral Court by the MKP.
You've spent countless hours in comments harassing people, so tell me, if the MKP was so serious about their objections, to the extent that they would want to halt parliament, why did they not file charges with the Electoral Court before their deadline? Why must we take them seriously when all they're trying to do is meddle in our Countries affairs and prevent the will of the people from being enacted?
