Your point at 1:19, about how any unstrung racquet weight over 310g is a matter of preference, suggests that, after overgrip and strings, the weight will be about 330g, and that's the top weight most amateurs should need. From personal experience as an advanced amateur, I've experienced this for myself, even as I know many a good player who play weights into the 340s.

I play with 345gr (with string , rubbers, overgrip) & dont need to worry about stability. It’s a 305 overspecced to 310 and leather grip…

While it is true that all tennis gear companies have items worth having . We should not be limited to anyone brand and yet we should hold ones primary brand accountable for what they do produce .
Yet , what is most important is the attitude in which a company and its reps give to consumers in regards to their products . For instance for me , while not a Babolat person ; I can appreciate the quality of performance from their newer pure strike 97 . It is for a very special singles player in my opinion , but the attitude of the u.s rep and lack of message return from corporate in France is disgraceful along with even my primary current brand .
What is worse is the silent treatment . So how a brand treats consumers and through reviewers matter most and loyalty goes both ways . The worst thing for a brand is for the consumer to go silent and abandon the brand in their tiredness with the effort .

Honestly I think a brand should be judged on the product they produce how they treat reviewers doesn’t bother me at all, how they treat customers sure but there’s many brands we buy daily in general life that are ran by bad people but there’s nothing we can do 🤷🏻‍♂.. So I use the same principle in Tennis and base my opinion on my personal experience and if I’m happy with the product not on someone else’s experience..

@HardCandy-d9q Most of those people you do not have personal contact with . When it is made personal then your views may change . A consumer in tennis is also a participant . You choose with your wallet and messages. If no one cares to listen and act then you know where they stand . You then can act accordingly . The power is in your hands .

@@derekpappas1556 yeah fair enough but as I said irl I won’t fight with someone because my friend is fighting with someone if that person has done nothing to me I base my opinions on my experience I don’t fight others battles unless they’re my family and when it comes to being a consumer I base my opinions on the product plus all the people you look up to or are celebrities or influencers aren’t the same online as they are irl not all but most play a character I’ve met enough celebrities or influencers irl to have this opinion some feel entitled and have an inflated ego while some are nice people so it depends…I can agree though that it’s your money and vote with your wallet and if a company goes against what you believe then sure..Anyways have a good new year and enjoy your tennis..

I have heard all of that, but it never met the requirements of being a myth.
I could tell some stories about a couple of points that would make you question common sense.

@@sebastiandomagala9233 Oh yes that’s for sure! Sometime it’s hard to believe what people say about gear😂

@@AlexTennisChannel Those opinions are not wide spread enough to be called a myth.
And I have learned to be careful with "as heavy as possible". It's not only about handling the weight, it's also about getting some feel out of it.
If the racquet is heavy, powerful and quite muted (yes, I am looking at you, Ezone 100!) you only feel what's happening of you leave it as light as it is.
I once played with a leaded up Ezone 100 from a clubmate. Awesome power, but no feel at all. Really none at all, I could barely tell if I hit the ball.

Not really a myth but a joke that went around tennis teaching conferences for many years, I don't know who started it, "A guy walks into the Pro shop at his club, and says to the clerk, I want to return this racquet, there's NO backhand in it" haha 😂😂 thanks Coach Alex 🙏 💯 Great video!!!!
