  • January 5th - Greg Clements hunts a stand close to a bedding area and arrives to find the ground covered with deer tracks and droppings. The fallen locust tree pods prove to be a major attraction and it doesn't take long before Greg has deer all around the stand. Later in the morning, the rest of the crew wind bumps the bedding cover towards Greg's location in hopes of moving deer past his stand.

Those Locust trees only grow in swamp bottoms in my area. I didn't know the deer likes them so much.

It was a dead buck frozen in the ice. We're not allowed to take those without salvage tags from the DNR so we left him there.

This is the main reason I prefer the whisker biscuit over the drop away rest. With the drop away the arrow can just fall off if you snag it on something, and in this situation it probably cost you the deer. Awesome video though, totally reminded me of some of the deer drives we do here in MN. Keep it up!

Does Iowa not allow rifle hunting on public land, or is it just late muzzleloader season?

So on Midwest Whitetail it still says Aaron is a producer. I thought you all resigned or something or is Aaron back? Pretty confused.

We don't work for MW. Aaron helped MW produce a few shows this past fall as an independent contractor.

Keep up the great work guys, love the show. It's great that you guys talk about all the points of the hunt and not just harvesting the buck itself. I have a question though, now that you guys aren't sponsored by Hoyt are you guys going to continue using their bows or are you guys going to try and venture out and try other brands? Thanks, keep up the awesome videos for the everyday Joe!

Y'all have the best deer hunting videos on RUclips. Would it be possible to get some sponsor's?
Best camera work. Best on explaining the situation. Look forward to watching you guys!

I know it usually isn't required by law, but I wish everyone in a hunting party would wear orange. You have three men moving toward the shooter and at least one of them has no orange.

And, it is public land so there could be other hunters in hte area you don't know are there.
