- The quarterback nearly lost his life after suffering a gruesome injury on the field; now, he’s attempting to make a comeback, as documented in the new "E:60" doc, “Project 11.”
Let's go alex smith get it done man one of the toughest players in nfl
But plays for the shitty team
@@3xr0nn79 shitty? 😂
Still faster than Tom Brady.
Good one, but then again my grandmother is faster than Brady.
@@karateman2180 Dude, I'm sorry for your loss...
Don't worry he will be in new England to to take over now that Tom is gone
And Philip Rivers
Great job Alex my prayers are with you I had the same injury, external fixator 11 surgeries and I was down for three years and could only sleep on my back. I've learned that life is short and each day is a blessing and remember to give God thanks everyday. And Alex may your fruit basket never becomes empty .......
Please don't come back. He dodged a bullet the first time, I wouldn't take the risk.
I agree, he is an amazing man. He has his whole life ahead of him, just fine a nice career ( if you want one ) and enjoy your wife and kids.
He should retire. Please think more about your health, your future and your family.
She’ll he’s already back srry
@@itsbuzzer9864 yeah I get "he's back", but I really don't think he should be. That was a pretty gruesome injury and I can't believe the leg is 100% after all of that.
Fearful that if he takes another hit anywhere near as bad, he's going to be in a real bad place.
I hope he does well, just concerned about him pushing his luck a bit.
"And that is why no one will remember your name"

Who’s hear after he played on Sunday
Me
He beat the undefeated Steelers today. Washington is actually a pretty good little team if you have followed them. Proud of Smith!!
Honestly post 2012 there way you could ever say Alex Smith is the worst or hate him. He is an amazing man with an amazing story. He deserves an amazing recovery and I would love to see him on a football team again. If he doesn’t play that’s fine I would just like to see him with a team
If you are jumpy and don’t like blood and gore, don’t watch the documentary. It shows his leg cut straight open, the infection on the outside, and the break in depth. I didn’t mind it to much but this is your warning. I advise you watch it if you don’t mind that stuff of you can skip past the stuff but it was a great documentary
HES BACK!!!!
Alex Smith is the starting QB for tonight win and in game against the eagles, unbelievable.
Today he finally made his improbable comeback...
I almost died from a staph infection I got in 2008 it affected my entire right arm, it was very close to have taken it off for good and me along with it had I waited longer to visit the hospital it would have reached my nervous system. As is I'm very lucky to have made it, as is Alex Smiths story reminds me of mine, granted he suffered way worse than I did, but seeing his painful road to recovery really tears me up
who’s here after he got a snap against the Rams?
Dude almost lost his life Jesus
That’s right mr Smith loyal to the niners always
ABC/Disney/ESPN cross-promotion. We are stuck with this for eternity. Will never end
This news clip just goes to show you how much they can leave out or take out of context to make you believe what they want. If you had no idea who Alex Smith was before watching this, you would have thought all the hardship they just showed you was entirely due to the injury sustained on the field. They mentioned nothing about the staph infection, which is what caused everything they just told you about. It's a big piece of the story that they didn't even touch.
Fun Fact: the reporter is Christopher Reeve's son.
2:20 I went :"That is so lookalike"!
"Inspiring." Comeback Player of the Year, Alex Smith .........
How did it even break. His posture looks fine when he was tackled
It was a spiral fracture. Which is the worst type of fracture.
Watch the video on RUclips it’s bad like really bad
Watch closely at almost any other video
He was scrambling and 25 had him around the waist, pulling him back and when Watt got there he ducked. When he ducked Watt was on his back, still going back he folded like a chair and his legs got caught under him. Watt is 6’5 288 pounds, him going full speed thats a lot of force and pressure.
He did the impossible
He made me kinda like the redskins
*washington football team
Cris Engr commanders now not bad . Redskins was an ok name but Washington commanders sound way cooler
In a week he deteriorated that much!!?
necrotizing fasciitis or flesh eating bacteria. He almost lost his leg and his life from sepsis
In a few days
LETS GO ALEX GET BACK ON THE FIELD!
This man is superman..vamos muchacho god bless..👍👍💪💪
2:20 Spoiler alert: "Superman" is reserved for the father of this reporter.
xo
balls
Good thing here was rich or he'd be screwed
He sucks I wished he didn’t get hurt all the time tho I like him as a person but as a player I’m sorry he isn’t it
Sucks? In 2017 he led the league in interception % at 1.0 and passer rating at 104.7. Before he was injured he led the redskins to 6-3. Now he may not be the same after the injury he wasn't bad and he'll probably just be used as a mentor from now on.
We should have went with rodgers
Lol, "nearly lost his life"????
He caught a blood infection that nearly killed him
