This was GREAT. A lot of ditl videos are like "first I worked, then I had lunch" but it was so informative to hear the actual details of what you were doing and why. Start my first PM job on a week!!! 10/10 tips girl!
Very good videos. I’m happy that your still being persistent with them too. Well done! Maybe you should do a video advising people about what different project management industries they should decide to work in 😊😊
Thank you for your videos! I am a developer, turned project manager, and I totally get this "day in a life". Although I am a PM on some projects, on some older projects I am still wrapping up as a developer and functional analyst. Absolute craziness!
5:15 As I was watching you ask for the report, I started to feel that cringey feeling 😂. I’m so thankful you addressed that this is part of the job and asking about the weekend does help. ❤
Hi Ira, I've been enjoying your videos. Absolutely love your vibe and energy and these had helped so much since im currently are my career transition. I have not seen any new videos came up from you lately. Hold on...! No pressure for puting out new videos though haha. Just wanted to let you know your audience misses you. And I hope the message finds you all is well. Stay happy and vibrant beautiful bae!
Hey! And glad the videos have been useful to you . Thanks for the well wishes! I’m currently on holiday so haven’t had any time to record, hopefully I’ll have another video out next week , realistically with everything I’m currently doing in life, I’m going to have to target 1 a month
Good to see you back :) I’m a PM apprentice and your videos really help me pick up useful tips. Do you have any videos on advice for smaller scale projects (smaller team, scope, etc.)? Excited to see you branch out on the channel too ❤
Hey , lemme talk a little bit .. i’m actually a dentist who actually just wanted to make my family happy . Anyways , I actually joined the entertainment industry and my goal is to be a Project Manager one day. You have no idea how much I loved this video I know it looks stressful but I never felt this before in all the projects I have worked in as site manager and project coordinator etc , what i’m trying to say is that I love this type of jobs that makes you to know more people from different nationalities and having fun in the same time . Please we need more videos like this specially on site , and it will be lovely to show us ( the freelancers like me ) how to actually follow such a dream and to upgrade . Thank you . ❤ much luv and keep it up always
Thanks for this lovely comment and glad it’s been useful to you. Sorry I won’t be doing any videos at my place of employment for obvious reasons . I have videos on getting promoted and becoming a more valuable pm so defo check those out :)
As a PM in the making this was interesting to watch 😁 I love the excel tracker you created yourself 👍🏾 Think-cell is also a good one for high level plans. Do you do the detailed planning yourself or do you have a planner on your team? What tool do you use? How else do you constantly keep in touch with your team? Is it just the weekly calls with the whole team & daily check-out with the Lead Eng or do you have a Teams group or Group chat? As always great stuff 👌🏾👌🏾 thanks for sharing!
Thank you ! I usually do the detailed planning myself. It helps me to ensure that all basis are covered and nothing is missed, plus we don’t have a planner ok my team lol. Currently I use smartsheets for my details schedules . And I have eow stand ups , and generally I sit with my team in the office, when I’m in the office, it makes it so much easier to just stay in contact with them and move the project forward: other than that, I just call them/ message them adhoc when we need to talk
Hi Era, can you make a video of different project management software's used in companies so that graduates can learn them online before attending interviews
Hi, Ira! What do you think is the biggest struggle for someone just starting as a Project Manager? And what mitigation strategies would you recommend? Thank you 🙂
Heyy! Oo good question. Hmm I’ll say dealing with crazy change and uncertainty on the project whilst still keeping the team on board. Sometimes the client or business can change their mind, or not make up their mind but you’re still expected to move the project forward. It can be tough. But I have overcome this, by staying highly organised and ready for anything. Also building confidence and influence with my team so they are more willing to move fast if we need to :)
Hi, thanks for sharing I'm researching project Management as a career and I'm seeing many tech/software development centered information and roles, but I was wondering what industry you work where it's a consumer product that you deliver, and if you've ever been a PM on digital projects and of there was any learning curves moving into real life products? Many thanks
Hey I work in consumer tech- hardware engineering … I haven’t worked on digital projects before so I guess the learning curve was steep for me. Any technical knowledge I have , I have learnt on the go
Lool I don’t know what it looks like on vacation, because I’m on vacation! I do not log into work when I’m on PTO. I pick it up when I get back. I usually get someone in my team to cover for me on critical items whilst I’m on leave. But I usually come back to like 300+ emails lol, but that’s cool. I start to work my way through them when I get back
Hi Ire, love your videos. I had a question. I am currently a Management Consultant with about 7 years experience in Consulting and now I’m a middle Manager. I have been involved in numerous PMO and Programme management roles and projects but have no formal project management qualifications. With this in mind, how easy do you think it would be for me to pivot into a career in project management and do you think I would be able to get a high salary with my experience. Would appreciate your help.
Hey. I’d say it’s very possible. Can’t really put a measure on how easy it will be. I think getting in pming these days can be difficult just because it’s just a high demand career path atm. But if you have the right coaching and cv it is definitely possible - you’ll most likely take a small pay cut I’d say unless you can show formal projects you have actively delivered

Cheers, slight correction. This is just my typical day as a PM my current project involves those things on 0:03, but this will be different for different projects
This is a glamorous rendition of being a PM. When you are responsible for delivering multi-million dollar initiatives you are working 10-12 hour days easily. Also, most PM’s manage multiple projects simultaneously so starting the workday at 9AM is a head scratcher.
girl byeeee. So condescending and so rude. How you hating on how her job operates? Sounds like you could use some help with time management if you can't get your ish done in a reasonable workday. Maybe spend less time on RUclips for starters.

Can I ask what you were doing before??
Very good videos. I’m happy that your still being persistent with them too. Well done! Maybe you should do a video advising people about what different project management industries they should decide to work in 😊😊
Thank you ☺️☺️ the different industries? I’d say there is pming everywhere. Just pick what you enjoy I guess
Really enjoyed watching this. I’m a BA so it’s interesting to see things from a PM’s perspective
Thanks for watching !!!!! Our roles are somewhat similar and different. Perspective is always insightful 🙌🏾💕
Thank you for your videos!

Haha I can only imagine: I hope it calms down for you asap!
Excited to watch ❤🎉
Oooooh I’m definitely going to try Office Timeline!
Let me know how it goes 🙌🏾🎉
Thank you for the talk through on your Day in the life Video… It explains all that is going on. Thank you! ❤❤
🫶🏾🫶🏾 perfect, thank you !

😅😅😅 gotta be polite, it defo does help. But at the same time, you gotta get your information !!!
I experience the same thing too but we have to do it for the work to progress😂

Neat video, hella fun to watch.🤩

Not only a PM but a Merc fan! You go girl :)
😅 I don’t know how you managed to see that but great eye! Thanks !
Love this video we can really see your working day and tasks 😊
Thanks for watching ☺️

Thanks !! If I’m honest. The same advice I would give for any sized project. You might not need as extensive documentation. But it’s never bad to do
Thank you Ire! Your videos are always so appreciated ☺
Thank you !!! ✨🙌🏾🎉

Hey. Will add to the list :)
Thank you for sharing Office Timeline. Can you share more examples, templates and tools you are using. 😊
Hey. I’ve done a video on the templates I use. As for office timeline . I don’t really have real examples i can share due to company confidentiality.
Oh great. I didn’t see that one. Thank you ☺️
@@pitolinmotionMaybe a mockup one if you’re able to
Id love to see how you created your excel heat task sheet :)
Hey! Thank you ☺️ Just excel if functions and conditional formatting really. I’ll she if I can do a video on it , some time in the future
I agree! I'd love to see this!
Same!
Yes please!!❤
Thanks for the video. Can you explain why you take physical notes and transpose them later to digital?
You’re welcome :) and it’s just a preference that’s all

In uni now and this is my dream job
Please please please, make sure you apply to graduate project management roles as soon as they open up! If you don’t you’ll regret it!
I’m trying to decide between UX designer or Project management. PM has always been my first choice but now I’m stuck 😢
Haha they are very very very different roles . Completely different in fact; not even one parallel
Waiting.
🎉🎉
Hey so you said stay on top of your emails what does that look like when your on vacation

Hey! Nope not really something I see myself doing
Are you a freelance project manager? How can I do this?
Nope i work for a tech company
How do I contact you to ask you a specific question?

Hello, could you please do a video for a recent PM graduate to navigate the career with zero years of experience?
