Preparing to begin my own educational pursuit for my Associates in Construction Management. As a Black woman in Alabama, I hope to break the mold and bring more minorities into this growing industry.

Don't look at yourself that way. Just focus on being good at what you do. Race and gender have nothing to do with it. Be hardworking, competent and good team player. That's all you need to do.

Construction is complex, my best word of advice is to self-educate outside of class and more importantly with the trades on the jobsite. Stay humble and success will follow! You got this!! 😃

    Hi mam,
finally I'm writing my thoughts down here. Your channel has really inspired me. I spent a whole day going through your videos when I was preparing interviews for a site engineer role abroad, I'm soooo excited about this role. Even though it is true, I didn't realise how much this industry is worldwide saturated more importantly, how this has an effect on the everyday life of Indian engineers I grew up in India and 7 years before completed my B.TECH(CIVIL- ENGINEERING) and now I am doing normal civil engineer job in india !! This is so embraced and I feel this is a headache I still can't move abroad
I am trying it. I want to encourage Indian engineering students, especially those from the Indian community and with lack of English barrier and also it being their second language, to follow their dreams to become an engineer in Abroad.
Only one chance to give me I will perform definitely

I’d suggest networking at construction events and updating your LinkedIn profile to reflect your interests and current construction pursuits to help refine where you’d best fit in the vastness of the industry. Connect with people & proactively post content. Perhaps also consider short/ part time courses at local colleges for continuous learning. Those would be good starting places.
