Herbal Medicine Workshop VLOG| Naturopath Herbs | Torrens University Australia
For my FIRST EVER VLOG I thought I would take you along on a day in the life of a naturopathy student! For my herbal product manufacturing subject this trimester at Torrens University Australia (Brisbane) we had to attend an intensive weekend workshop that ran from 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday. In this natural medicine workshop, we learnt how to make naturopathic medicine that included infused oils, tinctures, infusions, decoctions, creams, oxymels, suppositories, lotions, gargles, and more! In naturopathy herbs play a huge role in maximising natural healing while minimising side effects. I am absolutely loving being a naturopath student and this herbalist workshop was INCREDIBLE (I was expecting it to be good but it was so much better than I was even expecting!) Hiiiii I'd love to hear your experiences at Torrens university? I'm trying to decide on whether I'd like to go there. Is it a good university in your opinion? I'd looove to do Naturopathy as my undergrad degree to hopefully lead into medicine and want to make sure I go to a good university!!

Loved this vlog! I'm actually considering doing the same naturopathy course at the Melbourne campus, so this was an awesome insight! Thank you! I'd love to see more typical student/studying days with little insights into the content and how you go about learning everything. Also, sorry you may have mentioned it in another video - but will you be starting your own naturopathic practise? Or going into n established job in a company/pharmacy? Thanks heaps :) xx

Looking into studying Naturopathy but as I’m in Perth I believe I can only study with Endeavour. Did you choose Torrens for a specific reason? I have 2 small children at home so will be doing part time. Looking at the salary & job opportunities though I’m a little unsure, based on sure a high priced degree. Do you have any advice please?

@@jessiemorgan3153 hello! its quite full on, studying fills up a lot of hours as I'm full time but I'm interested in it so i just try to push myself and get tasks done. are you studying?
@@lucillemiller2198 I'm thinking about it just trying to work out I can handle the course load and work at the same time.
@@jessiemorgan3153 im working around 15 hours a week and I manage but you can always study part time :)

I know this is an old video but I’m currently a year 12 student and looking to study naturopathy at Torrens University 2021. Firstly do you recommend studying with Torrens? And have you found it easy studying online and only going in for practicals and/or exams? Also if you are using fee-help do you know if it is similar to hex in how you pay it back as that’s what I’m mostly worried about. I’d really appreciate your insight : )
I second this!! I'm a mature aged student considering doing a naturopathy degree at torrens. It's so hard to decide which uni!!
@@isis-daisy3384 isn’t it the only uni offering it? I’ve been researching and I only come across Torrens uni and Endeavour college. Please let me know if there’s any other uni offering Naturopathy. Thank you
@@butterflyt-y2727 hey!! Unfortunately those are the only two I know of myself. I think after doing some research, Torrens uni looks more reliable. The reviews for Endeavour don't look great. Good luck :)
