I “met” PS a few weeks before moving to somewhere between Langley Park and Bearpark. I’ve driven through Bearpark thousands of times - well, hundreds. This is an astonishing song, the music, yes, but especially the lyrics: "Hard as nails Geordies”!
It's a song that - as a home studio demo version by Paddy McAloon - was included on the "Nightingales" 12-inch-single in 1988. Since the demo version is quite minimal (i.e. there is no bass line), my brother added an additional synth pad and a bass line and enhanced the overall sound quality by doing some remastering on the track.
