I'm not blown away. This dude is in the music business and entertainment industry. He crushed it as one of the controlling members. I remember reading that in their peak they were making approximately 120 million dollars per year. In todays dollars that is approximately 1 billion per year. Now that is making money.

_The man worked very hard to become one of the greatest rockers coming out of the 1970s with his band KISS. (Flashback to High School 1972-76, and Kiss was all we listened to when we wanted to party). Odd, Gene has always lamented he never did drugs, or drank(which is beyond admirable). Sure he slept with a plethora of babes, if you will. But at the end of the day, his lovely wife forgave his infidelity(as they finally tied the knot after 28 years in 2011). Something to remember, this man understands the power of branding, and the power of collectibles. What I admire most about Gene Simmons is his brillance, and ability to make money the old fashioned way(with hard work). Great video here, except you didn't mention after he sold is longtime primary residence in Beverly HIls, that he formally retired from performing on stage._

How judgemental of a comment I am appalled. You know nothing of mental illness or where & how & why people get to that point. Some people have it in them to do life & some don’t. Not everyone has the mental or physical or financial capabilities to do it.
Also: some people have very supportive families & some don’t. When that happens some people just can’t deal with life by themselves. Some can. I feel for people who just can’t do it as I myself am constantly on the edge of giving up. Had enough. I don’t like Gene Simmons comments about suicide either. They are cruel. I’m sure there are plenty of Kiss fans who have taken their lives over the years, they made him who he is today. Have some compassion & empathy random person on the internet!!! Not everyone is you.
