I've got a question. I've got a model MDR 3 (SK 3 S). I've got two hot wires and a ground coming from my magnetic switch to your pressure switch. Looking at the middle diagram (ref: MDR 3 diagram pdf on-line) do I use terminal 2 and 5 for the hots? If so, then do I jumper terminals 4 & 6 (as shown)? Finally, what about terminals 1 & 3? I have no other wires, outside of the ground that won't be involved with any of these terminals. I'm guessing that terminals 1 & 3 would be used for an accessory...? Is that correct? And terminals 4 & 6...are they for an accessory application as well? Thanks in advance. R/ Larry

Hi Larry, If you are connecting to a magnetic starter the two wires should be your control circuit wires going to your mag starter coil. In this application you will only need to use 1 of the 3 poles available on that unit and it will not matter which one you use: (1 and 2) or (3 and 4) or (5 and 6). No jumper wires are necessary. Hope that helps but let me know if you have any additional questions.

Still having issues...the pressure switch (PS) is not turning off the Mag starter. The pressure builds up and as it goes over the PS setting the PS starts blowing off the over pressure but still does not kick off the motor via the Mag switch. As for the PS wireing...I'm using the top left and top right lugs, should be 1 & 2. Per your previous reply.. these were one of the combos that you recommended. Just to confirm...my hot wires do need to be on opposite sides. Help

@@BoxcarsGarage What model number do you have? You can call me at 866-878-1497, ext. 101 as it will be much easier to troubleshoot this over the phone vs. online.

MDR 3 (SK 3 S) is the model. I've got the compressor running now but for some reason terminal 1 and 2 (my original wire configuration) only ran the compressor the first time...That event was a fail because the compressor did not shut off on its own...ran past the 100 psi limit. After that I suspected I wired something incorrectly so I started changing wires around. So now...it's all working like advertised cutting on and off. I changed the connections on the pressure switch to 3 & 5,,,,IDK if that means anything but there it is. My question is... as I mistakenly bought your switch that covers 80-100....can that upper limit adjustment get me to 120??? I've given it a half a turn and so far with no result.

It's running now and yes you can take it up past the stated limit... mine is at 120psi on the high end and may drop the low end down to 70...maybe. CONDOR.... it's been 4 days and no answer my question. While there's a lot going on the world now (Corona) I'll cut you some slack however. One thing to do better CONDOR... Your pressure switch is not the cheapest on the market...you could help out us little guys with a better on/odd switch design. Specifically, a shaft made from metal/brass going to the round switch....plastic sucks...it'll break prematurely and then what???.....come on.

Ok real quick like I need to go on record and say that I AM AN ASS. Now then with that being said. Mr. Joe Gustafson called me and was above and beyond the call of 99% of any business owner I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. Im pressed for time so Im not going into detail. Just know this #1 I was wrong about his business and #2 you would be lucky to do business with anyone with half the class his has. After my behavior im lucky he even called let alone take care of my problem the way he did. So I cant stress enough to anyone how nice it is to have a guy who cares that much about his customers to do what he did. He owed me NOTHING. YET STILL WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO NOT ONLY HELP ME BUT SEND ME NEW PARTS AS WELL. Thanx Joe, I cant say too much more or people may start to think the wrong thing...,.... lol Ok that should about do it. Again to be clear. Me..? an ass. Joe from Condor ..? great guy to do business with.

Hi Mr. Jones, I am sorry you had a problem with our product. Please feel free to contact us at 866-878-1497 and I can assure you we will work through any problem you may have run into. Our MDR3 switch has been in production for many years, since the 1990's as a matter of fact, and there are literally millions in service. I can also assure you the materials we use are of the highest quality. If your compression nut stripped it could be due to it having been cross-threaded in assembly, which is certainly possible. Of course, no matter the reason, we will always stand behind our product and make sure any defects are remedied.
I would also add that you are correct that the MDR3 does have a lot of features and that is why it is important to choose the proper one for your application or you can certainly get more than is necessary or features that will not be compatible with your particular compressor. Again, we are available to assist you with this and also to replace any damaged product you may have received.
As to the switch not being listed on our website, unfortunately we cannot list every product due to the number of variations and customization requirements we have.
Hope to hear from you soon.
