As a Mumbaikar (a person from Mumbai) this video really gave me a privileged westerner vibe. 1) Mumbai is one of the safest cities in India. 2) When u live in Mumbai you hardly go to the Gateway of India, I mean it's not an attraction, those people there are tourists in Mumbai. Certainly, no Mumbaikar would pester you for a selfie. 3) it seemed like what u heard about Mumbai just made you more paranoid. Let's assume he was stalking, what would he do in between so many people? Where would he run if he stole something? Nah, the world doesn't revolve around you. Had a great time watching other videos, but the assumptions in this one really put me off.
I'm not sure we understand, are we privileged if we are concerned about safety? Our instincts told us something was off so we have to follow that. It does! I think being by the sea really changes the feel of Mumbai vs. Delhi. We really enjoyed both but quickly learned to lean into the feeling of being overwhelmed and embrace it as part of the experience haha

I just request if anyone who does those please keep the plastic bags in your pocket or bag if u have one and just find a dustbin and throw it there... Always remember that 1+1+1.......=millions (of plastics..) I just hope that you will understand... For some awesome beaches with some adventure activities, you can visit KONKAN region beaches [South of Mumbai and midway between Mumbai and Goa] ... some of the beaches are - Harihareshwar Beach, Srivardhan Beach, Divyagar beach, Guhaghar beach, etc. All these are around 300 kms south of Mumbai, but are on the way to Goa.. You will see a different India there... and ofcourse clean beaches and water..

nice vlog, loved the VT building lit up at night :) The beaches aren't great in Mumbai, along the coast I would say further south in Kerala or south Karnataka, Varkala and Gokarna are better than beaches in Goa in my view. Lakshadweep and Andaman islands have the best beaches in India. Lakshadweep is the upper part of the Maldives chain and that part belongs to India :)

You did well by saying no for a selfie. Foreigners try to be nice and say yes to it and then one selfie turns into 100s. If I was on a holiday and people asked me for so many selfies I would be pissed too. People are not coming from a wrong place, it's just curiosity cause they rarely see white people but if it ruins your experience it's always good to say straight no than trying to be nice. U really missing lots of ancient temples in India..especially "tanjore big temple" in South Indian state of Tamilnadu.. The 1000 year old architecture really freeze you.. The 80 ton single stone placed at 216 feet high. Pls visit friends..

You did well by saying no for a selfie. Foreigners try to be nice and say yes to it and then one selfie turns into 100s. If I was on a holiday and people asked me for so many selfies I would be pissed too. People are not coming from a wrong place, it's just curiosity cause they rarely see white people but if it ruins your experience it's always good to say straight no than trying to be nice. I also added that if you want to see clearest crystal water must visit to mountain city like shimla and manali (Himachal pradesh) laddhak and leh(Himalaya) Mussori and rishikesh (Uttarakhand ) Truly nature you love it guys. You have most memorable journey of Indian mountain once again I say that i damn sure you love it guys. But first visit to goa because it's near you from mumbai. We wish you safe and happy journey.

We went to Mumbai few months ago and it was rainy season
We couldn't ride the boat neither could see CST at night because our train was at 5:30 pm 😭

U really missing lots of ancient temples in India..especially "tanjore big temple" in South Indian state of Tamilnadu.. The 1000 year old architecture really freeze you.. The 80 ton single stone placed at 216 feet high. Pls visit friends..

The sand (and consequently the water) in Mumbai is black-brown. The reason being that the land (and it's rocks) were created by volcanic eruptions.
