I am 47 years old and I used to go to pailtoy tip.I was at the local school and me and my friends used to give them away.
It would be so cool to be able to excavate the site, if they find it! I live in the US and I have been researching to see if any such dump might exist State-side.

My uncle worked security there and he deffo knows where it was dumped .
But another where dumped a little out the way .
Nike factory done the same with cloves and shoes .
And they used to put a slash in trainers so you wouldn't want them .but we used to get the best ones and take them to a stiching place and they were great.
We moved away years ago and it only been last 18 months I've driven so am going down and uncle is coming .so you might see some nice figures for sale soon,

He worked security for years at there place . Some buried there but most got took about 4mileaway .he say 100percent if I take him we will find them .
