The install process changed a lot since I uploaded this but it is still a good before and after comparison of the graphical changes
This mod is suprem vs the "original" Reforged graphics! 💪 Makes the terrain fit the look of the new models
The install process has changed. I'm leaving this up for the before and after comparisons though. I plan to make another video on Quenching when they release their next big update.

NOTE: After the latest WC3 patch Quencing requires a new settingen.zip so on warchasersreforged.com go to "Latest Update - 2020/07/08" and get the setting tool bundle there "settingen.zip"

Hello, thanks for the video guide. Unfortunately once I've downloaded quenching, I've ran the setting tool and when I got the error, I ran it again. Now I am getting a chinese error of not knowing what the hell it is.
does this work for normal warcraft 3 or must it be reforged ?
Tbh I love the normal ui I just feel uncomfortable when there's no border on the unit's portrait lol

You have to own reforged for this to work, however I believe in the latest version you can use the classic wc3 unit models with the landscape of quenching. I haven't really looked into it much beyond this video though.

I haven't looked at the mod in quite a while but I heard you can use the old unit models with the quenching ground textures. Still need to own reforged though.
Anybody here knows how to uninstall wc3 frozen throne mods? I some sort of broke my graphics
this doesnt work for me, ive also tried the new settingen.zip which opens a new settingswindow. when i try to turn on the mod, it says "Failed. we suggested reset mod." I reset it and still same error
1) Get the latest mod, I think is v1.1b now;
2) run the mod tool as the administrator. It didn't work for me coz I wasn't running it as administrator, as soon as I did it, it runs perfectly.
@@iHaveContrl i have tried the newest version and that works for me :) already played through Reign of Chaos campaign with it, its awesome. kinda eats up FPS, but its worth it
@@bingobot I have an AMD Radeon 5700XT and I was able to push to 4K@55~60FPS with no AA on. I only got the mod recently and I have to say the difference is staggering, just awesome. The steel frame of the portraits during cutscenes are missing though... I don't mind too much but it would be great to have it fix.
@@iHaveContrl I'm a bit more spoiled i guess, i was hoping to run it at 100fps + but it drops down to 60-70 sometimes during fights and especially NE maps. i have RTX 2070 and i5 8600K. this is in 1440p and with some graphics turned down
@@bingobot Are the portrait frames fine for you during campaign cutscenes? Mine are missing for some reason...

When you are attracted to provide a feedback to fanbased mod, instead of an official released game that failed super hard xD . Shame on you blizzard :D

Warcraft reforged should have been a slam dunk. If the fans of the game can make something like this then Blizzard with its millions of dollars and hundreds of talented artists should do something better

im keep getting game crash when i launch the game with Quenching Mod 1.9, the newest version. This happend after the 17 Augustus 2022 1.33.0 Update
i re-installed the game 3 times now and it still wont launch the game with a error code ''22DEBE4B-FB71-4AE6-9AC6-E91688656B45'' any1 has the same problem ? Please help or fix this problem i really enjoy playing this game with this cool graphic mod.

@@awesomeruben I was able to run the game with the newest update of the game with the Quenching mod after the 2.0 version of the mod, so yes it is fixed now.

Yes indeed. Im enjoying it everyday. Ah i dont know about that but if you click on "update" on the quenching mod menu, it should update the mod to the newest version. Even if you click "cancel" when it asks if you want to update to the newest version.
@@Nexistence112 that's good to hear👍 hopefully someone makes an updated video tutorial on this mod cause it's pretty awesome, I mean I still love the original art style and the reforged one is fine but this mod is by far the best

Looks like the last patch broke it a little. On warchasersreforged.com go to "Latest Update - 2020/07/08" and download the setting tool bundle "settingen.zip" and use that one instead of the one I use in the video.

Did you try using that one instead of the one in the video (settingen.zip)

@@Rugarus As shown in the tutorial if you click EN top left on the site you can change the language from chinese to english

@@tightropegaming I had my friend send me the latches and just manually installed the client from their site just didn’t watch for me
how in the world am i supposed to do ANY of this when the bloody settings menu is in chinese and won't switch to english?!
really huge blunder on part of the developer of the mod... seriously...
You can switch to english on the top of the main settingsmenu . press "ENG", re-open the Quenching Mod. Then it should be in English.

Yeah reforged is best. Quenching is more distracting and original is just nostalgia option imo
