Canadian Geese on Eagle Nest Lake

  • DON'T MISS THE BIRDS DIVING INTO THE CREEK AT THE START OF THE VIDEO! On a morning in May, I hiked to the south end of Eagle Nest Lake to check out the bird population that usually hangs out there during spring. I launched my drone (my "binoculars") and started on my usual bird-watching flight circuit. As I approached the water's edge of the lake with the drone, I discovered a group of Canadian Geese and followed them for several minutes as they swam about the lake.
    When I watched the videos from the drone flight, which I had thought I would just delete after watching, I discovered there were many more birds in the video than I had been able to see with the drone controller video screen. I hope you agree that the edited video is worthy of your attention.

    You are so lucky where you live at you have great places to fly your drone!! I live in Florida and we don't have this!!

    So many birds flying around that creek in the intro and around the lake.

      I agree! I will have to try another flight in that area to focus on those birds if they are kind enough to be there.
