I wander the Taos/Angel Fire area of Northern New Mexico with my cameras and drones on occasional to frequent tangents depending on the weather and the wind. I confess that I am often awestruck by what I see and humbly apologize that my bumbling camera and editing skills often fail to convey those experiences. THANK YOU for your patience and for coming with me on my adventures.

What did you hit
The camera was attached to the roof with a suction mount. The suction mount failed and the camera fell with the mount and hit the road while I was driving about 30 mph. The silver, football shaped object in the video is the base of the suction mount. The camera has two convex lenses which are very fragile. Both survived the fall without a scratch. Beyond lucky :)

I'm surprised there aren't cottonwoods lining the river banks. But the land around the bridge is so desolate that I guess it isn't too surprising. I'm curious as to the decision to build this bridge in the late 19th century when there is so little around it. Maybe for transporting wool from sheep? Anyway, beautiful views of such a desolate landscape.

@@FoolWithACamera0 No not in Iceland I was there for a week vacation back in May. In a few weeks I will fly to Boise Idaho and try to fly my drone up in that area.

The “road” to Cerro Vista is off limits to motorized vehicles for FR 76 on up you should have been walking.
TY for info. Honestly, I did not see a sign indicating "a no motorized vehicle" restriction at turn off from FR 76. Such narrow, vertical signs are present on many of the trails along FR 76. I checked two trail apps I have and there is no indication of such a restriction. If you send me a reference on the restriction, I will include the restriction in the video notes. Otherwise, I more than appreciate the implied contempt in your note for the stupid bozos on the LOUD and obnoxious ATVs ("guarunteed to scare all wildlife for at least 10 miles or your money back") ruining the serenity of the public parks forests; a potentially long discussion which I will not delve into here. Most briefly, I am embarased to be considered among that group. May the godz forgive me. Again, thanks for your comment and info.
Little Garcia park is an elk paradise. If you approach slower you could come upon a large herd.
Nearly all ATVs are sold with a money back gauruntee to scare all the game within 10 miles away. Hunting while riding in an ATV is an oxymoron, but it is great for the elk :)

Good views. Female elk i assume? Strange how she seemed scared of the drone. Didn't think it would bother her.
Elk have poor vision. What probably spooked her was the obnoxious sound of the drone. I considered following her into the forest but would have rapidly lost her and the drone radio control. Despite the brief encounter, I am glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for watching😀
