Thank you for showing the clutch spring removal. I couldn't find another video here that does.

Great video, I retired early so I could work on my project vehicles and travel and this video inspires me to work on things instead of paying someone else to do it especially since my master mechanic died almost 2 years ago. The 12 bolt posi he built for me 38 years ago for my 427 66 Chevelle still works like new but I need one for my 402 1970 Monte Carlo now. It’s time to get it on the road. I have another 66 Chevelle after that! Thanks

I love those old montes! I’ve seen a couple 70 SS454’s come up for sale but I wasn’t quite ready to fork out the cash at the time.... good luck with your projects!

My neighbor has a 70 SS 454 Monte Carlo. It’s a beauty too. Maybe he’ll let me look at it if I get stuck on something! I bought a few tools today to get ready for rebuilding my differential. Thanks a lot.

    Your videos are very useful
    I’m the same guy
I’m always “putzing” around in the garage on either my
66 c10 383 daily driver hot rod or my
66 el camino numbers matching 396 factory 4speed ac gauge car I bought at a county assayers auction in 1981just out of high school for $900 dollars 😮 I only had $800 lucky for me my friends dad was there and loaned me the extra c note
    Thank you George!!!!!!!
I have rebuilt engines, transmissions redone wiring rebuilt dashboards polished window glass that can’t be found anymore just a lot of different things
I’ve done all these things with some knowledge from high school auto shop but mostly trial and error
So I really appreciate learning from guys like you the things I have not tackled yet
Sometimes my c10 will smoke both tires
Other times only the right side
It does this on the same street as well as other streets
Your video will be “ON” while I’m looking into what might be the problem once the cover is off
I’ll be putting disc brakes on the rear axle at the same time
I would like to make one suggestion if I can
When your showing us what your working can you add some light to your movie set😂🤣
I have an rolling IV tower rack thing with two 25 pound weights on the pole at the bottom so I don’t knock it over (again)
I welded a 45 degree gusset to at the top and then welded a plate with a POWERFUL magnet to the gusset and to that I mounted a 4’ fluorescent shop light I can easily remove the light and use the tower for other things
I made it adjustable up and down so it works changing spark plugs and also down low when I’m doing brakes
Thank you again for your simple informative videos
    They work

That's awesome! Us old guys rule! Really nice to hear from or run into guys with the same deep seeded passion...
Lighting is a issue for me. Its something I for sure need to work on. My shop lets in a good amount of natural light but its not easy to make videos with... Thanks for the input!

Great story! I bought my 66 Chevelle in 1980 right out of high school for 1300 and I still have it. I put a 427 in it in 1983. It came with a 230.

New subscriber, I have a 1970 Chevelle Malibu 4 door post sedan daily driver. I have built a balanced & blueprinted 1967 small journal 327 with a stock rebuild stainless shorty headers plus quiet mufflers and duals out the back hooked to a 700R4 trans. I just bought a 12 bolt rear with a 355 posi that has been sitting for decades so I am going to replace the pinion & axel seals before I install it in the car. The problem is SKF / Timken and Chicago rawhide no long make a car 12 bolt pinion seal, they only sell the C-10 truck seal for a 12 bolt rear witch will not seal correctly on a car pinion yoke because the end champher on the car yoke is so big the second lip of the truck 12 bolt seal doesn't make contact with the yoke so they always leak. Got any ideas on where to get a 12 bolt car pinion seal ?

I ran into the same thing with the seal and I can’t remember off hand where I got the correct one…
