- I was very tired at the end of this, but I feel I could do more eventually! My knee isn’t an issue anymore, and my foot doesn’t hurt at all. Swells a little after walking. I also got my backpack to 30lbs! With everything! I said I’d do it in an earlier video! And I already have plans for a few more.

rob I was reading some of John Muir s story of his hike Indiana to Florida, reading last night. he was born in Scotland I think. hiking the wild U S healed him I think.

Those Sketcher shoes won't hold up, you need a pair of hiking boots and broke in. Get some mole skin for blisters. I had a pair of sketcher shoes that started coming apart after 2-3 months. Stay safe
My Skechers have nearly 400 miles on them and got me through NY and PA! I’ll be replacing them soon though.

The destination is just a checkpoint. I don’t know what I’ll be doing yet, but I keep coming up with ideas.

So glad you enjoyed some non-Rocky areas. Take your phone and search for hiking boots. That’s what you need to crush these trails. You’re making amazing progress.
You're going to love Harper's Ferry. Make sure to get some awesome footage. The town itself is pretty amazing history wise. It's where I first stepped foot on the AT. Safe travels from one nomad to another.

I’ve showed plenty of camping. Trying not to show the same stuff every day. I showed camping for 8 months over the winter, and on this trip. And it’s called “The Walk”. This video title is “Less Talking, More Walking.” I have plenty of other videos if you’d like to see the camps.

Yeah it’s a hiker hostel. Cheaper than hotels, but pretty much all of them charge.

Are there a lot of mesquitos
Not terrible. Once in awhile the bugs get bad, but for the most part it’s been fine. I don’t even use bug spray.

Ask for help. Life is not easy without help from others. Most all humans have had a rough start in life and it’s hard to shake off that. Please just ask for a small job on a farm and maybe they will give you housing in a barn. There are so many businesses, homesteads that really need help and you hopefully could be the answer to a prayer. I feel positive if you ask for a job on a farm or something away from a lot of people, you will find shelter and food and can continue your outdoor life.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised what faith CAN do for you, what prayer can do. It’s not always as fast as you need something, but keep praying and something amazing is coming up! I feel positive about it. Isn’t it amazing how resilient the human body is?

I used to hike a small portion of the AT near Caledonia State Park way back in my high school years during the early 80's. I wonder if those two lean-to's are still there.
Rob, if you get the chance, you should take a side trip to Assateague National Seashore, since you're so close right now. I go there frequently (I actually leave in a few hours again; tent camping till Tuesday, my wife's birthday) Snagged a last minute campsite), and I wish that we could coordinate so as to offer transportation there. I live in south east PA (Lancaster). The experience of sunrise camping on the beach with wild horses roaming free is like none other.
I’d much rather be by the ocean! I do have an email, but I’m not sure how I’d feel about going off course. But you never know.

I can't remember at you said your water situation was, but I got you're getting enough. Especially with the heat coming.
There’s water everywhere! I only ran out once before because I skipped two water sources. And ran out right before town.

You re so utterly awesome! Put the camera down when u are in rough terrain so u don’t get injured. One very important lesson I have learned is avoid caffeine on hot days. Or drink extra water. It can dehydrate u so fast. I’m loving all the sounds of nature. It’s so peaceful. Seriously be proud of what you are accomplishing. Not many people can do what your doing. You are sounding so much healthier mentally! Be careful out there. Not everyone is as good as u are!
