Excellent podcast! Outstanding advice. People listen to Dr. Jensen. Believe me it does effect your future... telling a doctor you disagree is ok and if there's no result move onto a different doctor.
Excellent podcast! Years ago it was easier to be in charge of the doctor visit. I realize the doctors today are driven by what the insurance industries demands, which drives the revenue. Today, you go for a px, and you remove no clothing and the doctor may not even touch you. My insurance rewards me with a $25. gift card if have a wellness visit, which entails a 3 question cognitive test, and a long questionnaire, which isn't a px. After which, I get a folder of pages with findings and general information about sleep, diet, and recommended screenings. Your podcast is right on, but I blame the insurance industry. Now "Everywell" wants to bring the ER to my home. I feel bad for doctors who aren't allowed to be a doctor, as I know how they are badger by the insurance. Look forward to your follow up podcast on the subject.
These days I won’t go for a check up. Good studies show it makes no difference in the quality or length of our life. Why bother? All they want to do is put us on meds that we don’t really need. I will live as healthy of a life as I can by eating good healthy food, exercise, enough sleep, stress management and prayer. I will be my own doctor.
If you are mis-diagnosed, that will be part of your record. Going to doctors these days is very risky as it affects your financial risk to the insurance company.
Tried to get this question to you through your secretary but was hung up on. Did Walz have any relative comments when Jim Li was murdered, in March of '22?
I agree Dr. Jensen! And we all need to educate ourselves so we can make decisions on our own care intelligently!
Thank you! 👍👍
