I used to work at a business in a downtown area. The cafeteria had this one young chef who made homemade pho, which was not always on the menu. I had never had pho before. But suffice it to say, once I had this young chef’s, I bought it whenever it showed up. It was soooo good. Nowadays, I have an Instant Pot, so maybe I can make a great pho, too! Thanks much for this video!!!
I totally agree, I started cook asian food cause I want to control every ingredients. I like the way u cook and film urself. It's not perfect but feels really authentic. Thanks
Hello! I made this the other night following your instructions and I loved it. The only thing I believe it needs is either more fish sauce or salt. Every bowl that I made from this always needed a tablespoon or two of fish sauce
Wife and I just watched you video on Oxtail Phó. Being from Hawaii, we love Oxtail Phó. You’ve got new subscribers. If I might offer some advice (experienced photographer & videographer), get yourself a lavalier (sp?) microphone that clips on. Sounds like you’re talking in a can. 🌺
Thank you! Always looking for professional feedback. I have a lavalier mic (a rather cheap one from Amazon) that I’ve used in many videos, but it creates a strange echo. Can you recommend a good one? For my voiceovers, I simply use an Apple headset with microphone, which clearly doesn’t cut it.
Another great recipe. I like my dad love oxtail. Because of the fat. I made your char siu the other day to impress my brother and sister in law. They loved it. I gotta get me an insta pot. I was commenting that pho used to be fast and very inexpensive. Plus amazingly delicious. But the price has more than tripled since before the pandemic. I guess we can check out other pho places to see who makes it best. We have a little Saigon are in San Jose, just like Garden Grove near Disneyland. We have been picking up boxes of pho at Costco too. But making it sounds like fun. Especially since I’m taking a few days off this coming Independence Day. Looking forward to your next videos. Thanks again Maggie.
💯!! We’ve had to pay $16-$18 for a bowl of pho here in New York and the portion sizes are nowhere close to what they used to be. That’s why I make it at home some times 😅
Thanks so much for the feedback! Hence why I put “3 tbsp fish sauce or to taste” on my recipe 😂 because some days my pho comes out better than others and fish sauce seems to solve the problem!

😂😂😂
Have instant pot. We'll give it a try. Yummy.
Hope you like it!
Going to try this. Any idea where i can easily find beef bones? I know my costco here in SF bay area carries oxtails.
Beef back ribs at Costco works great.
I get my beef bones at the Asian supermarket
@@rackoflam - Thanks. I was able to find some at the local 99 ranch.
How did u get so smart cooking?
Once i read why msg was demonzied, i became more receptive using msg again. It really does make a difference in food.
What if you don’t have an Insta pot. Can you cook it on the stove?
Certainly, you'll just need to add more water since they will evaporate on the stove top
AMAZING THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟 DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜, AWESOME
I just made it and it taste okay, the soup is a bit weak in flavour. But after adding some salt and more fish sauce it’s honestly quite nice.

Looks absolutely delicious recipe. I never tried though❤❤❤
Hello thank you for your super delicious Recipe and video enjoy 🟣🩷💜💜🟢💜🛑♦️😘💟🟪🩵🟪❣️
Is it still possible even without fennel seeds, coriander and black cardamom?
Possible, yes. As long as you have fish sauce, the broth would be flavorful, but will be missing the aroma from spices and wouldn’t be authentic
@@rackoflam thank you!!
Those are very big meaty ox tails. It’s hard to find those at my local grocery stores 🥺
Bigger isnt always better! Lol
You have same last name as my husband 🐙
Haha Lams unite!
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR MEAT AND BEEF BONE?
Costco or any Asian markets.
