No Music Results Found in Instagram Story - This is the Fix

- There are a number of reasons why you may see no music results found in Instagram Story. The most common reason for this is that you are searching for a song that doesn't exist in the Instagram library of songs.
They don't have every song and their selection is limited.
You may also have an account type that limits your music choices. To make sure you have every song, try to change your account to a personal account instead of a business or creator account on Instagram.

My account is personal account and I have songs but when I search it will say no result don’t really know how to fix it
That's exactly what I'm going through, and quite frankly what most people are dealing with at the moment

I recently updated, and switched out of a business account. It’s still showing the same, generic pseudo-royalty free songs for my selection. No idea what’s going on.
It’s really important to know that switching from a business account to a private account will erase ALL of your statistics, including post views and accounts reached. You don’t get them back when you switch to business, stats are reset to 0. This is really important if you’re using these stats to inform your social media marketing.

Omg 😱!!! Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏 We’ve been trying to solve this problem for months. We switched it back to personal account and it worked just like how you said. Before it just gave us a very limited amount of music that was not even popular music. Music that no one listens to.

It's not the account type. I've always had a personal account and I was always able to find whatever songs I wanted. And logging out of the account and logging back in doesn't work. Updating the app doesn't work. Resetting your phone doesn't work. Force stopping the app doesn't work either

@@zaeemasaiyara3023 I've gone on about 3 or 4 videos like this and said the same thing and nobody is giving me an answer. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination. But I think this is a matter of there is some type of bug with Instagram. Either that or they are in some type of licensing dispute with one of the big music carriers. Because I'll type in stuff that I know was in that library a week ago and now all of a sudden it's not there. I've contacted Instagram four or five times and explained the problem and they don't give me an answer. I've reported that there's a bug in the system still no answer. So I have a feeling that this is going to be an ongoing problem until Instagram fixes whatever is causing this. I don't think there's anything we can do from the outside the remedy this situation

My account is a personal account from the beginning... I even tried to go from business and back again, deleting the app and redownloading it, signing out and signing in multiple times. Nothing is working

HI I swapped it back to a personal account and it STILL shows me limited music. Can someone help me out? I tried restarting, uninstalling, clear cache and log out log in. Still the same.

This didnt work for me. I havr personal account and cant access any artist or popular songs. All i have for my reels are original audio
I manage multiple different business accounts on IG (I work as a freelance marketer). Why is it that some accounts have access to certain songs but others don’t? I can find an exact song on one account but not the other and both are business accounts and not personal accounts.

If song is available in 'music' section of Instagram, am I allowed to upload a video that contains that specific song?
As example - I use song X that I have attached to a video using davinci resolve (or any other video app). Can I upload it like that, or I have to mute my video and add Instagram's music on top of it even if it is the same exact song?

I had a business account and I had a hard time putting up music it was a bunch of stuff that I didn't know. I just switched it now to Creator mode which is new for me I thought it was only just business or personal. As soon as I change it to Creator mode I was able to have access to all the music again. Thanks so much

This way erases all your previous insights. Much better to just switch your business profile category to Entrepreneur or Digital Content Creator (and switch off/hide the page category)

this didn’t work although I did find a loop hole if you search the song you want up in the search bar, favorite the song go back to the music tab on your story click favorites & it should work

BRUH WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND THE PROBLEM I’M HAVING. Literally I’ve googled like 100x and it keeps saying something different to what I have.
Instagram had the songs I want in their library, but one day it just disappeared!!! It sucks bc I’m a photographer and I enjoy combining my photos with music, and Instagram is the only placeI know where I can do that
They remove and add songs all the time due to different copyright agreements. Nothing you can do if it’s gone from the library

I’m very sure the songs I searched were in insta’s music library but now it says “no results found” even if I search big artists like taylor swift, dua lipa, bts, blackpink, billie eilish etc. When I view other people’s stories which have songs it literally says “this song is currently unavailable”. For me it is showing results but if I try to search up songs, there will be no results. This bug is only happens when I try to add music to my stories, so my notes and posts/reels are unaffected :/

I have been searching for this! Thank you so much! The only video that fix my problem. No wonder before this there’s no music result when I do the searching.
It didn't change any thing... it was all fine at first then suddenly I only get a very short list for suggested songs even for my stories... also when I try to add a photo into my story it also shows only a very short list from my gallery.
My saved sounds for reels became also very short it doesen't show all the sounds I have been saving😭

I just change product/service to artist in bio (still business account) and it all pops up. Hope this helps.
Ive NEVER had this issue with my stories until a week ago. I didnt change ANY settings on my account and now popular artists dont show up. Ive never used anything but my personal account.

Any reason I had music a week ago on a creator account, and now it says “No Music Available”? If I switch to a personal account, I lose the ability to check my insights, which is one of the main reasons I switched to the creator account in the first place. Super frustrating!
