I ate prata with sugar when I was younger and it's a mix now. I learned that the older generation couldn't afford curry and stuff, so sugar was the way to go which is why my parents taught me to eat it with sugar. Ha!
Same as my mum, she still eat prata with sugar only. She also said they cannot afford curry so ate with sugar and now every time she eat prata with sugar she will remember her old days back in Malaysia.

I eat prata with dhal and not with sugar or curry.Not many places offer dhal sauce.Eating with dhal taste much more yummier!!
Actually near to the tanglin halt desserts stall,there is 1 more at commonwealth hawker centre selling hot desserts. Just 4 types only and usually finishes by 4pm

Indeed, the one mentioned at Chinatown Market is quite a legend. They also have chee cheong fun, yam cake, soon kueh etc. It's a pity the duo did not hop over to Chinatown Market since they were already at Maxwell Market.

Kovan Hawker Center have cheap Soya Milk, Grass jelly Drink and bird nest drink. 30 cents for small cup and 50 cents for big cup. Can go take a look but have to come early as they close ard early afternoon. They are open from 7am+ until sold out.

The chi dessert place is v good. You must go bk to try. Their cheng tng is v delicious. However, its better for you to go from wed to fri. Tue they should b closed.
