Bro mixes up all the bearing caps in ay order, rams on the bolt tgat holds the phaser on with a freakin impact, no torque. You got it done but comprised the longevity of thus motor with hacky work. I do not recommend doing it thus way if you want it to last like a Toyota should.
What they did is removed the cams from the sprocket not hard at all. You can’t mess up this repair because chain is in position! If you have access to the tensioner counter turn the crank to release some tension make this repair a bit easier
What puzzles me is the intake cam gear has to be unlocked to install it, but when you remove it it's in the locked position. And after you install it you have to lock it. It's confusing!! But great video. Thanks.
Bro, is my way of working wrong, did the car work, after that there was no problem. ! If my way of working is wrong, what problem can it cause? I don't know please give information
Well the idea is not bad , I tried to fallow A-Z the Toyota TSB …. I couldn’t find a way to install the gear first , locked and them install the chain, the chain won’t stretch enough…😔☹️so I installed the gear unlocked with the chain at once and them rotated the crankshaft clockwise and apparently is locked … at least both dots looks aligned , technically the same procedure I used however what amazed me the most from this video was no timing marks, no torque wrench and a huge impact tool 😂👍💪

@@WarshaIsLamB03 you might know about cars but evidently you don’t know English language, read my comment again please, there is not criticism in my comment, however as you said is your car and your way and I really don’t care ! if you don’t want people to give their opinion don’t post anything.
@@WarshaIsLamB03 BRO , if the car is running right you didn’t do anything wrong, you tried “your” way and it worked that’s it, my way ? I won’t use impact tools to do such job, I would mark the timing marks before take out the sprockets together with the camshaft and no less important I will use a torque wrench to tighten the screws , doesn’t matter the method is the result is ok , take easy , good video.👍

Did you guys replace the intake cam gear/sprocket? If not, what did you do to the gear/sprocket to fix it?
This sprocket change
Good work sir
If the timing marks on the chain are gone, then the chain needs to be replaced because the chain was overheated.
Great job
Can this be done on 2gr engine?
Yes bro
bro needs an inpact gun / drill
عمل جيد،
how long did it take you to fix it
One hour
Nice sir
Good job
Intake sprocket should get unlocked before installation?
English sai nai ati
before installation yes but after you install you have to lock it before starting otherwise the gear is f***ed
and if you lock the gear before installing it will be near impossible for you to unlock unless you are a pro
