Aman moved the bishop so fast that Valentinian think it's a premove blunder thats why he take it.

I love how Valentinian is acting like he calculated getting smashed badly at 21 moves rather than 20, like he has complete control of the situation XD

oh I see he wrote "21? Oh ok I calc right" which could mean he calculated that they played for 21 moves, which isnt chess calculation but basic counting to 21 :D

Strange... To me, he is pretty repulsive. His passive-aggressive behaviour towards his opponents and chat, while often funny, just doesn't make me like him at all.

You mean h3? Yes that would have been mate in 2.
that valintinian has a move?people are allowed to defend in chess (it' overrated tho imo). so the guy could just push the g pawn up one square (thus blocking the queen from the g2 square)

18:10 - 18:38 Aman saw the idea with the Nf3 immediately, but probably spent the next 30 seconds not calculating the moves, but contemplating if his opponent was bad enough to fall for it :D
it doesn't look so, it looks he was trying to decide if was worth enough risking sac the dark square bishop and go all in with the bishop h3 idea, he was not contemplating, just thinking if it was worth going for it, im pretty sure he had the smothered mate idea since Nxd4, cause so did I, it's a pretty common fast mate pattern

I just attained a 1200 rating on Chess after a couple months of playing (Blitz btw). Played about 900 games. Is that good progress or is it normal?
1200 in only a few months is pretty remarkable
I played chess off and on as a kid. 2 years ago I started playing online chess around 800 - 900. I think it was almost a year later I reached 1200. I just hit 1500 a few weeks ago. Keep it up

At 3:43 I think he could have mated in 2 if he moved his bishop to h3 then captured the pawn on g2 with his queen, I am very new to chess though so I could be totally wrong.
He could stop that by moving the pawn to g3
@@joshharrison619 that loses the rook. I'm too lazy to calculate but if you move the rook to e1 the after check king e2 it'll be a king hunt that I think is survivable without losing pieces. Again tho I'm too lazy to calculate right now and could be wrong
@@spiraldj bro if after bishop h3 your idea is to move rook to e1 you’re getting mated in 1. Also how would you move king to e2 when it’s on g1? After bh3, pawn to g3 is the best move and you say it loses the rook but it would only be being down an exchange which is a lot better than getting mated and anyway the best move for black in that situation wouldn’t be to take the rook anyway

he has to mate in 20 moves, so Ne7 would never work - also highly doubt an 1100 finds a3

At 3:51 you moved bishop to g4, but if you moved it to h3 he can’t take with pawn and wouldn’t be able to defend to allow you mate very quickly.
Then the other guy just pushes the pawn to g3. Still a losing position, but no way to mate fast enough
Well the other guy wasn’t playing that great so even if he does that pawn to g3, you can capture his rook on f1 and also end up taking most of his defense out by taking that pawn on g3 with the pawn on h4.
With that being said you can easily do a quick mate if he doesn’t defend that properly with the pawn move but it also opens him up to having limited options on where to run away.

The queen is completely trapped and it doesn't matter which square it tried to go to, so by delaying taking the queen, he ended up taking a knight for free and capturing the queen anyways
