I used to live in Osaka and I also worked there for 5 months, at first, I was sooo confused with kansai ben cause I only studied the Standard japanese, but I became used to it after a while and now that I moved to saitama (using kanto ben) it's sooo hard to adjust again since I very much understand and i'm used to kansai ben now. I sometimes get to use kansai ben here and people wouldn't understand and I'm like "oh sorry thats a kansai word" and they're like "全然わかんない!" I really love osaka and I was very sad to leave :( Also, I noticed that People in kansai area are generally more friendly than here in Kanto (atleast in my experience)
as a foreigner I was told by Osaka people not to say YADE to often or say it only to friend, otherwise just use DAYO. but good to know all these words, this is very helpful video and I love Osaka dialect.
I LOVEEEE Osaka Ben and just the way it's spoken I wanna master it xD and I couldn't find any good Sources AT ALL!! Tysm! Please continue this series!!💟✨
Ah this series was so good! My friends from Osaka sometimes speak in quite strong kansai-ben, but they dial it down a bit when they speak to us. I watched part 1 yesterday and talked to them about the kansai-ben I learnt and I practised a little bit. Felt great because I always wanted to try speak in a kansai dialect but couldn't quite figure out when to use やで/な/やな/へん etc.
Miku-san, you & TakoAki's channels are wonderful to watch when trying to learn the Kansai dialect! :) It's so interesting how Osaka-ben sounds like you're speaking in "waves" while Tokyo-ben sounds like you're speaking with "mountain" intonation (as Takoyaki-sensei noted in Part 1 of the video). I am really enjoying these types of videos! :)
sasuga miku sensei.. i repeat your video twice or 3 times in different day.. until i really got this wrinkle in my brain, thankyou sm sensei~ i love this takoyaki ww
I am playing 二ノ国 on my PS4 in Japanese and one of the main characters is speaking in Kansai dialect. So far I could only guess a few thinks. Thank you so much! 😊

This intonation you speak (especially in 15th minute and 16th) is different from what you are showing with your hand Miku Sensei. Which one is correct then? The one you speak or show? I guess the first one, but could you please explain?
Hello, Thanks a lot for your kansai-ben videos. 13:52, 14:14, 14:40 : Sorry, I'm a bit confused. なに is what, isn't it ? If I want where questions, it's どこ, isn't it ?
Thank you Miku sensei , i'll try to use it in speaking with my Japanese co-workers here in Hyogoken😍 By the way I'm always watching your lessons . It's easy to understand . Doumo Arigatou gozaimasu!

Awesome Miku. It's great to have that banter between you and Alex. It helps make the absorption of new information a bit easier, like a memory hook.
