I was just coming to say that. The hand swatches give so much better context to the shade colour and performance but it is also helpful up the arm to see the colour story. Wish more people would do the hand swatches. So helpful.
Nice review, I just bought it in the relaunch! I definitely agree that this palette does not cater to darker skin tones, as the majority of the beauty industry doesn’t. That being said, I think not every palette needs to cater to everyone, as long as there are different palettes available that are made for darker skin. That way everyone gets more worth for their money, since they can actually use all shades in the palette. It would then be similar to how we have both warm and cool toned palettes. Some can be both, but not all need to be.
I do really like this look but I agree that you can definitely get something similar with Moonlit Seduction so I will probably pass on this palette. Thank you for the honesty as always, and great look inspo today!

I didn’t know it was a limited edition palette. I had planned on buying it next year. I have so many beautiful neutral palettes. I am trying hard to work through my collection. I would have bought next year, but I just can’t do it now. It isn’t the price. It is the volume of palettes in my collection. I want it for those toppers. I will have to be satisfied with my own collection.

Ok, I am 100% sure this is not going to be a widely shared opinion. I normally can’t use the majority of deep dark shades in eyeshadow palettes, due to my aging eyes mainly, and I just don’t think it looks good to have a smoky eye anymore. So if I can only use two or three shades in a palette I give it a pass. I haaate the Natasha Denona cream to powder formula because what looks like a pale shade comes out several shades darker on the eye. 😢 so when the very rare palette launches that has mostly fair to medium shades, mind you with a very good quality, I grab it! I really appreciate that Sydney Grace makes two versions of the same color story, one fair/light and the other medium/deep. That is so amazingly great, sensible, and respectful!! I wish other eyeshadow makers would do the same!! Makeup by Mario could have launched at the same time an alternate version of this shadow story in a medium/deep tone. Don’t you think people would have lost their minds with happiness? It really would have made quite a splash don’t you think? A missed opportunity and they deserve criticism. But I am so happy to finally have an eyeshadow palette that will work for me because I would not have purchased this if 50-80% of the shades were unusable deep smoky tones. Like Viseart as one example, there is not even one palette of theirs I would purchase, nor PML. :-/ Thank you for this gorgeous look, Martina!
Now this is a nuetral look I would wear paired with a deep red lip! Sooo pretty! I do agree, I feel that there should be a deep brown matte or a black for sure to add depth.

$130 AUD plus shipping is just so much more compared to the USD price exchanged - such a markup and then with shipping it puts it on par to PML sale prices almost. I assume you paid shipping as it doesn’t seem to be at Sephora Aus. I would rather PML or even go the other way by getting UD space cowboy for so much less to pair with my existing palettes.
The reason I went ahead and picked this up is for the ease of it, just pop a matte in the crease with one of the shimmers and your good !! I did have to choose between this or the TF Rose Topaz, have to get the TF next lol

Lol, when you said if you have Glaminatrix nearly natural palette, you don't need this......because I forgot I pre-ordered it till you said it's name😂😂😂. I was like 😲forgot I bought that palette and don't have it yet 😅. Love the look you created. Loving the Taupe vibe.
I’ve just watched Amanda Z’s video on this palette and she said the mattes are too dry and they emphasise skin texture. But she says that’s probably because she has dry lids
Curiosity, I am new to your channel and I watched a few of your videos and heard you say a few times you won't put liner because you are working, but why?? Is it that bad to wear liner in the travelling industry? I work in health domain and personally I cannot care less about what nurses and doctors may think! ;) I like your videos so far and your personality too!!

Something about this palette that just didn’t grab me so I passed considering the price…. Damn good mattes however I would rather have a TF cream quad but yeah that’s me ,)
However I did pick it up instead of the TF because it’s an LE edition and I do feel once gone it will be gone which is not the case with all of the “Limited edition releases”, but will pick up the TF next
To be honest…it looks a bit like a Tarte palette. Which is not a dunk, but it does mean I can dupe a condensed version of this with some Sydney Grace singles.
If I think about this palette in isolation, I think it’s really pretty and that I would like it, but if I think about it and the eyeshadow I already own, I think I do not need and am not going to buy it.
So sad you'd think in this day cosmetics companies would be more inclusive..I too will be passing on this but it's still fun to get inspiration from Martina
