Lol I literally did this myself when I was looking for wheel /tire sizes. I looked like a weirdo taking pictures but it was worth it.
@Armando Martinez Seriously, every car I walk by that has nice wheels I have to take a picture too!!
Stunning car
Thanks man. The car is in this country now, but sadly not running.
@@FootageFactory shame id love to of had a ride man. Anyway about the music , would you like me to make you a little introduction to your videos with the music playing in the back ground. I can give it a go if you want. I domt wamt nothing in return. Just cover me with your shield when im reviving hahaha
@@Sapha22 heck yea. I’m between your estate life and potent instrumental. I’ll figure out how to put it in and credit you for sure.
i currently have 15x8 basset race wheels on my 65 with 255 60 15 on the rear. the wheels have a 5 inch backspacing on them, the tire is REALLY close to the leaf springs on the driver side however no rub on the fender or leafs
Dude. That’s actually the info I’ve been looking for. In my next vid I talk about beefy tires on my 65 versus my wife’s 68 mustang. The only thing is my brakes are too big for 15’s, so 16 inch wheels are the minimum. I’m considering 4.5 backspacing, and my fenders are rolled. What’re you’re thoughts?
Great info bro I take pics all the time
My phone is shut off but I wanted to text you about you helping me with my videos like you mentioned before I left. Maybe you doing some tool reviews, would you be interested? Do you have my email?
@@FootageFactory yes let me know what you need Bro
@@powerconcretecuttingdemoli2439 We should do a video chat sometime, since my phone is off we need to figure out how to do it. Do you have an app called "Whatsapp" on your phone?
@@FootageFactory no but i will load it up know

You think thats bad! I am trying to find the specs of a tire I have on my car right now, so I wrote the manufacturer. They came back and told me they do not have the specs for it, and tried to give me another tires specs. Mickey Thompson sucks! I have a pair of their G70-14 mickey thompson 70 indy profile seris tires, and I do not want to change the transmission gear for my speedometer in getting new wheels. They do not even know their tires. I was thinking about getting rear discs, so I would have to go up to 15 or higher tires.
Great video. I have a Black 1965 Coup with Magnum 500 15 X 7 with 15 x 60 x 235, no roled fenders. I love the chrome on the black. But I noticed that 15 inch tires are being phased out. The Scott Drake alumiium repo Magnum 500 17 x 7 are ok. I mean ok, because they don't have all th curves that make this wheel pop. And they are $224 each rim no tire, ouch. So thanks for the video. I might look arounf for something that I might like and have better choices of tire sizes.
Dude thanks for telling me. In about 6 months I need to make a decision on what I’m gonna slap on my 65 and all the input is appreciated.
My 235/60 15 is rubbing what could that be?
@@tmacdagreattv What year car. Mustangs are notorious for having the rear leaf springs go bad and sagging. I added an extra leaf on my 1965 289 Tremec TYKO 5spd. I had 235x60x15 on Magnum 500s. They only rub if: rear riders, too fast on speed breakers, severe dips or pot holes. I went to 225, and haven't had issues and did not notice a big difference in handling.
@@pd2865 1967 , but I just found out my front tires are to big
I'm trying to get negative offset in the rear of my 68 mustang. I want wide rear tires with some poke. I've got 245 45 r17 right now with stock rear leaf suspension. How do these guys get that slight rear lift and 1 inch poke??? I notice it looks like you have taller leaf spring shakles??
Gawd damn I ordered a set of 17x9 225/45 hopefully they fit
A set of 4?
@@FootageFactory yea
Nice are you gonna make a vid of them?
@@FootageFactory most likely not I’m not in any way a RUclipsr so I’ll probably just post an Instagram picture
@@ernestobambeno3137 how'd they fit?
Hey cool guy, was wondering if your front tire size is 225/60/15 or 225/70/15?
In the front it is 225/60r15
Solid video man, I have a 67 mustang coup, and I have 215/70 r14 cooper cobras on the front, and 225/70 r14 copper cobras on the back. The front tires rub on the top of the wheel and the inside of the fenders when going over bumps and uneven roads or taking sharp turns. I keep getting mixed answers on what kind of size would work for a raised white letter tire on the market for my front and back keystone r14 wheels.
Interesting. Do you know what the backspacing is on the wheels?
@@FootageFactory No, the wheels were bought by a previous owner.
@@edwardwise853 Are you going to upgrade the wheels and tires?
@@FootageFactory Just upgrading the tires.
I have a 65 fast back and want to put 17x7 rims in front and 18x8 rims in the back. What are the largest/widest tires I can put on these size wheels? Thx
I made a video about 65-66 mustang tire width. Check it out…let me know what you think!

Love your car. I too have a 1968 coupe, and I'm looking for a wheel/tire package. I actually want almost exactly what your setup is.. Thinking I'll paint it a metallic gray with those black wheels. I'd like to do 15x7's all around, 255/60/15 in back, 225/60/15 in front. My question, do the rear tires fit without rolling the fender any? I have a totally stock setup. Thanks!
With 255/50r15 rear I didn’t have to roll my 68, but I did roll my 65. Check out my other tires videos, I go more in depth, though i should focus more on the 68 instead of the 65
Great looking car bro.. do u think your 255’s would have fit on the front too ?
Eh that’s pushing it. If you watch Jo Daddy’s Garage, he put 255’s on the front, and we were just a little too big.
Um... ok.
Great Video! Maybe we can do some collaboration. I'll step up my entertainment value!😁
Will this tire setup work with a Shelby drop without modification?
Funny you ask, I’m considering the Shelby drop next…
So I should find this out.
Thanks for response
Can you please add a link to those rims? Are front and back the same rims?
Sure thing. Ill add a link, it’s in my wife’s email so give me a day or two.
@@FootageFactory thx in advance! Your wheel setup looks sick and i’m hoping to copy. Don’t worry, you’ll never notice. I’ll be driving around in the netherlands 🇳🇱😂
Lol I might notice. I have two houses, one in the US and one in the UK, and I’m shipping the 68 over to Scotland. I even grew up in Düsseldorf so nearby you!!

Does this apply to 1964 1/2?
It does not apply, but I did make a video for my 65 and tire sizes.I actually made two videos. They are more recent than this one, be sure to watch them.
