Man!! Viv Campbell on a recent podcast said Joe's voice was sounding really good in recent years... but this is outstanding, and appears effortless! The whole band is tight as a crab's ass. Old school doesn't mean you mail it in \m/ \m/
In 2002, me and my daughter saw them in sacramento, they started out with the whole side one of high n dry. I was in heaven. All the girls was like, what the hell is this 😆 I said the real Def Leppard!
What you gonna do if she said it's not ok??? Make a dinner - tomatoes and onions and peppers and potatoes and garlic and..... It's only rock-'n'-roll matter. Long live Def Leppard !
The Rock Gods have spoken... Def Leppard still packing stadiums to sold out crowds for over 40 years. Their music is as relevant today as it was 4 decades ago. Thank you Sheffield UK for loaning us your Shining Stars.
It’s so sad many fans don’t even know high & dry at all! & this was probally the 2nd biggest hit on the album after bringing on the heartbreak (which the only song many fans even know so sad! I’m 43 so I was way too young but I seen back & listened to these albums & I was like wow these are bad ass this song Saturday night hit & run & wasted from (on through the nite should be on every setlist! Automatically!
Totally agree they got so many songs from the first 3 albums that should be staples in the set list. Right now i'm trying real hard to think of a bad song on those albums and it is really sad that they not as known by the younger fans. I'm 52 and remember seeing them for first time in a video for the song wasted.
Heck, I had to Google it High 'n' Dry! Owned it on tape, CD and vinyl and yet could not place it. Thought it might be from Pyromania. Long time since I listened to a DL Album every day 3 times a day!
They killed it in Indy last night! Looks like they did the same in Pittsburg and everywhere else! Love this song and High 'N Dry but the new album is outstanding also!
Def Leppard never disappoints. They always put on a hell of a show. My favorite moment was seeing them upfront at the stage and after phil was done doing his solo, he literally through the pick directly at me and I was the lucky one. People by me wanted to see it. I was like no way. It would have been gone. Lol. Still have it to this day.
Another great live performance from my fav band of all time. Joe (and Vivian, Phil, and Rick (the Savage one) ) can still reach those high notes after all these years, and the thunder God (Rick Allen) is unparalleled on the drums. amazing..
I joined the Navy in 1982. If you had told me these guys would be filling stadiums and rocking this hard 40 years from then I would have laughed. Then again, I saw the Stones in LA in 1981 on their farewell tour!
Great video, real sense of scale in the evening light. Fantastic view point too, practically on stage with the guys. High quality picture and the band sound great. One of the best Leppard videos on this platform.
I love this song! Def Leppard gives great shows. I always have a lot of fun at their concerts. I wanted to go see them last week but I wasn't able to go. Now I wish I would have gone just to hear this song played live. My favorite Def Leppard concert will always be when I saw them in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino 2013. Loved that concert! So many good memories. I hope they go back to Vegas soon and do another residency tour. I would definitely go. Def Leppard concerts in Las Vegas are the best! 🤩😊❤🎸
Used to play this with Mt high school band in the 80s. And switch 625 too. Still a favorite album! Saw them for the first time in erie pa with krokus. Pyromania tour.whwn the walls came tumbling down. Love ❤
Not only do they still sound great but I like that many of them look like they have not changed their natural (grey) hair color. Let's face it we are all getting older. I'm 56 now but this song was out when I was in my teens.
What's wrong with Phil - not shirtless? Lol. Phil is in incredible shape & can still kill it on that guitar! Awesome band - I grew up with this guys & saw them live in 1988 in the States. I love this song - what a tempo change & great guitar riffs. This band still freaking rocks! 👍 💯 🤟
These guys still bring the goods tour after tour. That's why they can still headline arenas. This is 1000% my all time favorite Lep song. Still kills 41 years later.
I work in downtown Pittsburgh. That day was crazier than normal down there. The mob of fans. Today 9/1/22 was crazy as well. Pitt vs WVU tonight back yard rumble
Older, but solid and tight...they sound great and very well rehearsed, true professionals, I have mad respect for this band...I hated this band in the 80's, I was more from the punk/goth scene back then, but have grown to appreciate them as the years have gone by. It's like hearing them for the first time in my 50's. Good on them and Pittsburgh, I love your city...
When they did the acoustic of Bringing on the Heartbreak... and it BLEW UP for the last verse. I was the happiest I've been about music in a long time. :-). I don't care if they someday get old and creaky, this is gonna be my favorite metal band as long as I'm around. It's a band that "They left the decision to me, whether I wanted to go on or not, and they gave me time to grow and develop, really, a whole new style," when Rick Allen got hurt and almost died. Journey, who opened for them (and were a ton of fun), were dumb enough to fire Steve Perry because of hip trouble... Leppard are good guys, great music, great fun. Plus, they played Switch 625 for the air guitarists in the stadium :-).
I saw these fossils in concert at the Hollywood Sportatorium in the early 80s. They played a great show then and I'm sure this one is no different despite their age.
As I was scrolling through the comments I literally started reading yours as Joe Elliott started to sing that exact verse 😂And I couldn't agree more about that piece of paper!
So nice to see a stadium full of rock fans again! These guys sound great!
Kinda like the Van Halen Monsters of Rock tour in 1988.
40,000 were at that show. It was great!
High and dry is a tremendous album. Still my favorite.
I love the entire High and Dry album! Takes me back to being a kid.
Best album they ever did.
@@ms8742 Without a doubt! DL's best in my opinion!
Kick ass solid hard rock album. Every song on it is good.
Even though Steve Clarke and Pete Willis were in the line up at the time and Rick had two arms.....this was a purely AWESOME rendition they did here!
60-something yr Olds and they still sound that good! Amazing!! Freaking legends.
Yes
They're not all 60! Lolololol 😂
AND they have a real SWEET MASONIC logo on the DRUMS!!!!
Man!! Viv Campbell on a recent podcast said Joe's voice was sounding really good in recent years... but this is outstanding, and appears effortless! The whole band is tight as a crab's ass. Old school doesn't mean you mail it in \m/ \m/
They are all over 60 except for Rick Allen
I think i’d pay $ 1000 to see a high and dry only concert. If my wife said it was ok.
dont worry about wifey. you can find another chick at the show.
In 2002, me and my daughter saw them in sacramento, they started out with the whole side one of high n dry. I was in heaven. All the girls was like, what the hell is this 😆 I said the real Def Leppard!
I’d join you. In my opinion, their best.
What you gonna do if she said it's not ok??? Make a dinner - tomatoes and onions and peppers and potatoes and garlic and.....

I'm 55. High and Dry was my first Def Leppard album. Good memories.
High and Dry is their best album, with Pyro being a close second.
Their best album, very heavy! This sounds awesome!
Heck, I had to Google it High 'n' Dry! Owned it on tape, CD and vinyl and yet could not place it. Thought it might be from Pyromania. Long time since I listened to a DL Album every day 3 times a day!
It's a great album. I love mirror mirror from high & dry.
This was a great concert.
I saw Def Leppard on the Pyromania tour in September 1983. It was my 3rd concert I ever went to. I think Uriah Heep opened up. Cheers!
It was UH, was supposed to be Billy Squier when I saw the tour but he had backed out.
@@toddthousand1976 i saw them with squire on that tour in philly actually

My all-time favorite Def Leppard song. Still sounds great.

I think this is their best song ever!
They killed it in Indy last night! Looks like they did the same in Pittsburg and everywhere else! Love this song and High 'N Dry but the new album is outstanding also!
Def Leppard definetly shined bright in indianapolis from start to finish. Glad to see that good Rock n Roll is not dead. 👍

One of the bands from that era that still kill it live.
The guys still sound great!
I was there 🙂
How the heck can they sound this amazing still?
Hard work, dedication & hours of rehearsing
Love hearing that cowbell after the second chorus. These guys are just a great rock band.

Thanks, because I move my head a lot & try not to look into the phone that much.
To bad Vivian Campbells solo wasn’t in the video and he was pretty much left out.

High N Dry is their high water mark. Unreal UFO inspired bad ass album. Switch 625 is the highlight. Steve Clark could shred.
Early music was the best!!!
High and Dry...their real masterpiece.
I saw them open for Scorpions in 1980 at the Aragon Ballroom. Playing their songs just like on the album. Smart...
Great pov!
