For what it’s worth..Sylvamo produces the Hammermill paper and about a year ago they bought out the company that made Accent Opaque. The Sylvamo plant about 30 miles from me produces the Accent Opaque. I called them a couple weeks ago to ask if they were still making it, and I actually got to speak to a production person who stated they are, but just not currently. He said they get orders from the main office what paper to make and they are currently focusing on school and office paper (whatever that means 🤷🏻♀️). So, don’t give up hope, supposedly they will eventually start making it again 😊
WHAAAT?? This is such helpful information; thank you so very much! I guess that's why sometimes it comes in and sometimes it is not there on Amazon. You're the best!
Thank you very much for letting us know. Wouldn't you think that would be a best seller, and they'd want to run more lines and make this all the time?!
@@michelleadamchak1330 I sent an email to Sylvamo but never heard back which is why I called the plant. I was glad to get a response from a worker but plan to try again soon now that schools are well under way :)
You were the one who got me using and loving Accent. I have the 80lb, 100lb, and the 120lb and love them all. I still have a decent amount of all but was worried when I could no longer find it on Amazon. I bought the chameleon Hammermill 100lb but I am not as much in love as with Accent.
Thank you for all your hard work and time toy put in for all of us. You are so greatly appreciated❤!!!
I appreciate this so much Cynthia. THank you for your encouragement and support!
I so appreciate your help in keeping us frugal!!! Thank you for all your work!
You are so welcome!
The research and preparation here is so impressive! So useful to see how these types of cover stock accept paint. It would be interesting to see a comparison with how each performs compared to artists' brands, and maybe with scoring and folding, and embossing techniques- some card stock crushes to a nice deep impression, while others can crack a little bit. Thanks for another great video!
Great suggestions, thanks so much for this.
Thank you so much Miss Mary!!!
Great information and great video!!!
Also your so upbeat but not over the top and that’s nice nowadays…or any day. ♥️
You’re the best! 😊
Oh thank you! That's very kind encouragement.
Thanks for doing the legwork!
Thanks so much
Thank you for sharing this and also for explaining and showing all the things about the product. 😍
You are so welcome!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Great informative video Mary 🥰 I am so happy you found some great cardstock ❤️ thanks for sharing and happy crafting Hugs xx
Thank you! You too!
Thanx so much. Great to know.
You're so welcome!
I really appreciate the time and effort you put in to finding the perfect cardstock at the most reasonable price. I know, whenever you suggest certain necessities for card making, if I follow your lead, I will have excellent results every time. It is not always easy to find what you suggest here on this little island, and I do the best I can.
You are a blessing in the lives of so many crafters and I truly pray they know it and are grateful. Not only for beautiful cards and hacks, but for the beautiful soul who brings them to us. Thank you, Mary. 🥰🇨🇦🙏🥰
Thanks so much, Kirrie! I really appreciate you so much.
Yea! So glad because I was unable to find the Accent. Thank you so much for sharing!
You're so welcome!
Thanks Mary. xo
You are so welcome
Hi Mary, great video!! The hammermill is also great for hot foiling also!! Thanks for explaining the gsm !!! Very helpful!! Hope you are doing well my friend🥰
You are so welcome! I'm hearing that it's great for foiling; that's awesome!
Glad you were able to find the correct Hammermill! The other thing that is awesome about it is that it’s fantastic for foiling. That’s the reason I use it.
Thanks for the info! YAY great share!
Awesome thanks!
My pleasure!
Echoing others here, but THANKS so much for taking the time to do all the research and work on testing these papers for us. Hugs from Maine!
Thank you! It's my pleasure! :)
Thank you for the information. The Hammermill works exceptionally well with the Glimmer Foil machine because it is so smooth.
Thanks for the tip! That's a great add!
Always appreciate your comparisons! I just bought the 110 Accent for 9.82 and bought more than I needed. I checked consistently for a few weeks and pounced when it was available for a good price. So keep hope that it will come back.
Great idea; I need to do the same.
Mary you are the DEAL- lol. I think one of my first videos from you- was the paper comparison video. I always trust you- how super of you to address this new catastrophe we have on hands. I still have a bit of my accent around, but was wondering what I was going to do, didn't think I could afford Neenah. Thanks for helping me to have more money to spend on the never ending list of stamping supplies I NEED. lol Thanks again- have a super weekend.
THanks so much for this Kerrie! I appreciate your encouragement all the time!
Thank you for sharing this! Got Accent Opaque from the last video, but will check out HammerMill when I need more. ❤
So glad it could be helpful!
Thanks for all the research and info
My pleasure; thank you!
Thanks Mary! I've seen many cardmakers using this cardstock. I'll definitely check it out when I run out of Accent Opaque.
I'm so glad it was helpful; thank you for taking the time to let me know.
Great comparison video because we all need the best cardstock - it's the foundation of our projects! If it makes you feel any better, we pay almost double in the UK for the same cardstock!
ZOIKES...that's a lot! Thanks for sharing
After not be able to find Accent, I bought Hammermill and I love it for all cardmaking needs
YAY so great thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Great review. Nancy Stamps, here on RUclips, also found that the Hammermill Premium is great for hot foiling due to its smooth texture. Tfs. I also have found that most stampers don’t know which way is best to fold cardstock. I’m an old timer so I’m aware of the technique.
Thanks so much for this share! YAY
I use accent 80, 100 and 120 lb, stocking up when price drops. The 120 lb will not go through my laser printer, rats but great for solid card bases with lots of layers or shaker cards! I"m good for a while, Yay, me! I also use accent copy paper that is quite thick for for gel printing. Thank you, Mary and you are the one that got me hooked on Accent Opaque btw!
I did stock up a while ago too so I have a few months before I even have to use my Hammermill full time. But for video purposes I try to use what's in stock which makes it all the more confusing for me. ahahah
You are so funny! You got me hooked on the accent and I have the 80,100 and 120 lbs and absolutely love them. I think we just need to start a petition and send it to the manufacturer telling the to up their game because we are suffering. Thanks for the information on Hammermill, but I’m pushing for the petition 😎
YES to the petition; I"ll sign. lol Thanks so much!
Thank k you for the info on the gsm. Had no idea.
You are very welcome!
I remember your original video which inspired me to buy Accent 80 lb cardstock. I use the Accent for my card panels but I still use the Neenah for my bases. I had heard about the Hammermill cardstock from a Canadian RUclipsr, who uses it because the Neenah is too expensive & difficult to purchase in Canada. The gsm vs lbs is a European vs American thing kind of like the metric system. I discovered it the hard way too, so I always look at the gsm now because it’s more universal. Thanks for the updated review!
Thanks so much for sharing all of this information; super helpful!
Hi. Thanks for sharing this information. Frankly, I have struggled with the card weight figure as it always seems to be a little awkward. I have found that I have far fewer disappointments by sticking with the gsm figure but each to their own. 😊
Spot on, thanks Deb!
Thank you for finding the best cardstock for the best price,
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the info. Off to purchase the Hammermill.
Hope you enjoy it!
Hammermill was also very hard to find as many RUclipsrs recommended it for hot foiling. I finally got my hands on a pack after many months and you're right, the 100lb does not feel very heavy, felt similar to the Neenah 80lb, however it does foil very well. I would not use it as a card base. I've been using Recollections as a cheaper card base saving the Neenah for the design work. Would love to try the Accent and it does look unavailable. Thank you for taking the time to research all the various cheaper cardstocks. This is a great video!
Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us! I appreciate it. I do like the quality of the Recollections a lot and with a coupon, it's a great deal.
Totally agree, have been buying Accent for some time and Hammermill is good as well. If you check Amazon they usually carry the Neenah White Index Heavyweight Cardstock 110lb/199gsm in a 300 pack for 15.99. That keeps it right in the ball park as well and it performs well for a mid-range weight. If I'm doing a lot of layering on the front, this works well too. I've even found it in the warehouse for less that the going price as well. Just something to keep in mind if you are running low and need something to fill the gap quickly.
Thanks so much for sharing this; super helpful! YAY!
OMG I totally know what you mean about the yellow tint to the Recollections!!! I only use Recollections for my craft business now since it has the least frays after die cutting than any of the 100s of other brands I have tried! I am excited to try your suggestion of the Hammermill paper!
THanks so much for this add; I appreciate it.
@@marypolancodesigns aw you are welcome!😀
I found the Accent when I saw your video comparison. I was looking for a brighter white cardstock. I was totally unhappy with the cream/yellow cast of the other popular cardstocks. Later I began using Hammermill because of hot foiling. I was going to use Hammermill if I couldn’t find Accent. I recently was able to stock up on both. I explicitly trust your opinion. I greatly appreciate all the hard work you do on our behalf.
This is so kind, thank you so much! I am glad to have found a great substitute that most of us can afford.
Accent 110 & 100 both are out of stock on Amazon.
Thanks for this cool paper search! We’re all looking for the best white heavy card stock out there. I would love to see a comparison of bulk colored cardstock too. I know it would really be difficult. Different colors shades and tints from different companies but generally speaking the weight versus cost might change. Thanks for your video!
Great idea thanks!
In the USA we go more by the lb. numbers. GSM is mostly used in Europe or for professional paper makers. Just an FYI. . Love your videos. So informative!! 😘
Thanks for the info!
Thank you for another great informative video. So appreciate your budget tips. I am in Australia so some of these brands are not easily available here. 💕💕💕
That stinks, Maree. There are a few YouTUbers in our industry that might help you. Have you searched their supply lists?
I was able to buy Accent Opaque White cardstock in 100lb two weeks ago. I paid $9.77 for a ream! 😊The following week, I was able to get their Cream/Warm White 80lb for $8.03 for a ream. I'm retired, so I was checking Amazon religiously for at least 3 weeks and pounced as it was stocked. (They were both out of stock the day after I placed each order!) Hopefully I have enough to last until things settle down and get back to a somewhat normal pattern. But I'm still holding out hope to get the Opaque White in 120lb. and Cream in 120lb.😉😊
Thanks for sharing this; it really is a great deal when it's available!
This Hammermill paper (i actually have the 80#) is the best for Hot Foiling because it's super smooth!
So many of you are sharing that' thank you so much! I don't have hot foiling capabilities...well I do have a laminator. I'll have to try it
I loaded up on Accent Opaque when you first recommended it. Thankfully I am good for quite a while. By the time I use it all there may be something even better than it or this 😂😂. Great video, again!
OH that's so great that you did that. YAY!
Have you done these types of comparisons on vellum as well? I was so happy to have found accent from you and am so disappointed we cannot get as well. I hope they do bring it back, it will make a lot of us very happy. Thanks so much for these videos, they are greatly appreciated!
No I haven't done a vellum comparison yet. I don't use a vellum, hardly at all so I didn't think of it but great idea!
Vey informative
THanks so much, Jill!
God bless you!
Thank you!
I just found one ream of accent cardstock 100 lb 271 GMS on Amazon
I like Hammermill. It works in the Glimmer machine, stamps beautifully, and is a good cardstock. Today I have been coloring on Stampin Up Basic White. So far, not my favorite. I wanted to give it a try as I hear the SU people raving about it. I think I will go back to other cardstock for alcohol ink coloring.
Thank you so much for sharing all of this information; I appreciate you so much
Great video Mary! I'd just add that Hammermill is some times cheaper at Walmart.
Awesome thank you so much for the add!
I use the 110 lb cardstock from staples for all mycard bases. Brilliant white
Great to know, thank you for this! Is the brand name Staples?
@@marypolancodesigns yes its staples brand. And it doesnt crack. 8ve been pretty happy with it. I use copics alot and use specially paper for alcohol markers but I have on occasion colored on the staples and as long as you dont saturate the paper it handles pretty well. It $ 25 99 for 250 sheets. . Just make sure it's the 110 lb. one.
I use the J.Burrows A4 250GSM digital paper 250 sheets and pay $23.49 AUD locally. It’s pretty good.😊
Awesome, thank you for sharing this!
here in Australia we go by GSM
Good to know thanks!
I miss my Accent 120 lb cardstock. Recollections seems to be my next choice for Card Bases. White card stocks so so hard to find.
I know it! THanks for sharing
Thanks for taking the time to compare cardstocks and their prices. With the Hammermill Chameleon and Panda - the difference (besides GSM) is the Chameleon is a cover stock so it's definitely heavier weight. I use Hammermill mainly for hot foiling because it's so smooth and, although Neenah Solar is pricier, I use the Neenah mainly as my cardbases as it is definitely heavier and will stand up way better than the Hammermill. I do use various (sometimes more expensive) other types of cardstock for my card fronts (mixed media, specialty, watercolor, Tim's Kraft, heavystock) because I need cardstock that will stand up to the heavier amounts of water I use for many of the different techniques. Nothing is more disappointing than putting a lot of work into a piece, it looks beautiful, but the paper has become a total mess. I love and appreciate your efforts in comparing products.
KC I have a question, where do you get the Neenah Solar white cardstock? I looked on Amazon and it is similar to choosing a toothpaste....there are about 8 million varieties!!! LOL
@@clemonscrafts Well, originally, I paid an exorbitant amount at, I think, Joann for 125 sheets, however, I am still using that 1/4 ream so I guess it wasn't so bad. Best bet in my book is to use Google shopping to shop around and just be aware of what you are buying. You want the price per sheet to be reasonable and, if you are using it as your card base itself, you want Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110 lb/297 GSM (smooth). Be aware that there is 80 lb that sells for much less and it's fine IF you are not using as the card itself, i.e., the base that the actual card is upon. (There are also other whites but I like the Solar White, as it's really bright and seems to match the Hammermill I like to use on foiled fronts). I always make card fronts and attach them to my card bases. I hope this helps and I hope you don't have to pay extra as I did but I still have a lot of stash so maybe it wasn't that terrible. And keep in mind that one sheet will make two A2 card bases. TMI?
@@kcinca5410 thank you!!! I wrote this down!! LOL! I have been using Recollections but that yellow tint drives me bonkers! I create multiple die cuts at times and if I use scrap pieces I have to hold them up and compare to make sure the whites match. LOL! I did manage to find a pack of the Hammermill on Amazon last night and lots of Neenah but wasn’t sure which one was right! Thank you thank you!!!
This is super helpful; thank you for taking the time to share!
In the UK we only use the gsm figure, until I bought US cardstock I had no idea there was another way of determining the thickness.
Thanks so much for the share; yeah we are all confused over here. haha
Thanks for all the hard work to give us this info, Mary! I was curious, though, because you mentioned that the Hammermill chameleon cardstock is comparable to the Accent 80 lb., but the gsm you showed is the same as the Accent 100 lb. But I think in a graphic you mentioned the 100 lb. Accent is comparable. Just a little confused here. The Hammermill still looked pretty thin for a card base, however. I'll stick with the Recollections 110 lb./300 gsm. If I need to mount a smaller white panel on my card base, I will either mat it with a full card size white panel of the same cardstock as the smaller panel (so the whites match), or use the 65 lb. Recollections as my smaller panel, which I think is the same color. Or I just go with a colored cardstock and/or patterned paper panel, which I do more often anyway. I don't know that I generally have issues with whether whites match, though. I have more issues personally with using cream or ivory with white or silver with gold. Just can't bring myself to do it! LOL Anyway, my possible weirdness aside.... Thank you again for all the research & looking out for our wallets. I hope y'all are doing well. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I cannot explain this one. I thought all GSMs were the same but alas this 100lb really is closer to the 80lb accent. Odd I know. Is this like clothing sizes? I'm starting to think so
It really depends on the type of paper. There are 'text' weight papers, and 'cover' weight papers among others. ie: 80Lb Text weight is paper weight, and 80lb Cover weight is card stock, which is thicker. I assume this means that anything labeled as card stock is made from Cover weight papers. I guess it's best to be sure that something labelled 80lb is card stock, not paper weight. GSM is also confusing. Naturally, the higher the GSM, the thicker the paper. But some papers can have the same GSM, but contain more fibres that are more densely packed. Honestly, the whole thing is kinda confusing! 🤪
As always another great video! Luckily, I happened to have the Hammermill because the foiling gurus said it was the best for glimmer hot foiling (and it is great for that). Thank you for always getting the lowdown for us. Side note: did you see that Ohuhu is coming out with more pastels??
Hi Kimberly. Ohuhu actually reached to me; first time! YAY! I just got the 320 Brush set so you know what's coming? lol Video AND Color chart. Look for that in Nov
@@marypolancodesigns Hold the phones! There's a 320 BRUSH set!!?? Oh boy! I can't wait to see your video-know it will be fabulous!
@@kimberlycade9543 indeed! YAY
I use cougar digital cardstock
Thank you for this share!
I think America is the only place that uses lb measures (I could be wrong) for paper and rest of the world users GSM which is universal and you always get the right thicknesses for GSM.
You are most likely correct! Thanks so much for this
I think you get a cleaner fold if score line is inside the card
I believe you're right. I even did a video on the folding and probably still got it wrong here. DOH! Thank you!
oh man bummer i bought 600 sheets of the panda paper its 110 lb i have thicker 140 lb but its exspensive ,ive been painting ne stroke rose cards for 27 years now on 110.i just painted a beautiful art work with sargent art acrylics so im happy with the paint and paper thank you
It's the pricing for me; I could find lots of great cardstock but I just dont want to pay that much
I just now discovered you because this video popped up on my feed. What have I been doing today? Searching for a more affordable alternative to the Neenah solar white every card maker I'm following seems to use! 😲 (Now I'm subscribed to your channel too.)
Amazon has the 100# Accent in stock, so if you want to buy 800 sheets for $149...
Zoikes...that's a lot of paper. hahaha I did see that though. Thank you so much and I"m so glad you're joining me here!
i love the bristol but wish it was whiter
Same; me too. I usually only use it for ink blending though so that's the reason I can get away with it; I cover it up anyway. lol
@@marypolancodesigns yes very true! I also sometimes use it for coloring
Hi, I’m from the Netherlands and I have been using Pro-Design paper for years for card bases, ink blending, copic colouring. It is very smooth and available in many thicknesses (up to 300 gms).
Not sure of this cardstock is available outside de EU. If you can find it, I would love your thoughts on this paper 😄
Thank you so much for sharing this; I did some searching and can't find it here. I appreciate you letting us know this!
The struggle is real. I’ve been on this hunt as well. And have this hammermill cs. I need my Accent 120 so bad!!! My shaker cards will never be the same. Heavy sigh. I also like the hammermill for hot foiling. Just bidding my time till all is right in the universe and I can get my Accent card stocks. PS. I got the panda pack too, such a disappointing journey. PSS. I hope I laid the dramatic effect on thick enough. 😭
Hahaha, Carrie! I adore you! The struggle IS real and you share my same sentiments! I think I'm just gonna have to by a thicker cardstock JUST for bases and not care about what else it does.
Its funny I also always love to try new cardstocks etc. But I always somehow manage to mix them up, or lose the crappy plastic packaging at some point etc and then I have no idea what cardstock is what anymore I need a much better system, that's toddler proof and inexpensive to sort small and large amounts of different cardstocks and keep them easy to know what I'm actually using at the time hahaha. Any suggestions? Also, i did just order the accent opaque a day or two ago from Amazon based off of your old video actually. So it's funny you posted this one just now. It was on Amazon. And same price as you had posted I beleive. But I love to see more options. I also love to know if a paper is useful for either water based or alcohol based products (alot aren't great at both sadly) and then ink blending with oxides and then dye inks (also not easy to find both haha) but love thse videos and appreciate them alot. And now I've added colored pencil and blending mediums to my list of requirements making it possibly even more difficult to find good cardstocks but let's keep fingers crossed. Hahaha
It's hit or miss with the Accent Opaque; I believe as of today the 80lb is there but not the other 2 and the 100 lb is my absolute favorite; good for everything.
Do you happen to have a video showcasing the differences in printing on these cardstocks? 😍 Inkjet or Laser.
I'm new to card making and really love laser + hot foil, but I'm having a hell of a time finding a cardstock that doesnt smudge the toner as it feeds and prints.
Hi Kayla, I don't have a video for that; I don't do foiling with laser jets but I just got one so I might try it soon.
Are you familiar with Amazon Warehouse? It is a bargain section of Amazon. I have gotten so many supplies through there. For cardstock, for example, I got a ream of 250 sheets of 11x17 cream Springhill cardstock, which is like 2 reams of letter size, for $2.52-originally $31.99. #AmazonWarehouse products usually come repackaged, and are just fine. Things move fast, and are always changing. I have done several AW hauls and just a thorough walkthrough video showing how to maneuver through it all. Love & Blessings. Btw, my favorite cardstock is Wausau Exact Index. It is so smooth and a really nice weight. I have it in 4 colors and love it.
Here's the link for my video of a thorough walkthrough of AW

This is so super helpful and I"m going to share it in an umpcoming video; thank yoU!!!
Gsm (grams per square meter) - the much more accurate and easier to compare measurement - is what the rest of the world uses. As all of us Americans know, the pound measurement we use can vary wiiiiidely. 110 pounds for one paper can be great, in another brand it's flimsy. (FYI, American paper weights are determined by how much a ream of uncut paper weighs. The heavier that number, the heavier weight the paper is.) *However*, you the consumer then have to know what type of paper you're talking about. Is it paper or cardstock (the dividing line is roughly anything lower than 176 to 199 gsm)? Is it regular cardstock or cover weight? Etc etc. I'm sure everyone watching this video has bought a bunch of "110 pound" cardstock, excited to find a white or black that you think is a super secret great deal. Only to get it and discover it's flimsy and not what you wanted. "110 pounds" can go from 199 gsm (what we know as 65 lb card) to 300 gsm. Often it means somewhere around 216 gsm (what we think of as 80 lbs). I try not to buy any cardstock that doesn't list gsm, unless I know from experience that it's in the 300 gsm ballpark. I hate the metric system as much as any good American 😋, but on this issue the rest of the world has it right
Thanks so much for adding this information here! I appreciate it so very much!
About 3 months ago I found Accent Opaque card stock on a fluke it took 2 1/2 months to ship to me.
Zoikes! I guess that is another effect of it being hard to find
@@marypolancodesigns I found Accent Opaque card stock on Amazon for under $10.00 for the 80 lb again today. If you need some you can probably find again tomorrow 10/27/22
I ordered this recently on Amazon for $12.98...I thought for sure it was a glitch. It went back up, but I should have bought 2. I just didn't need it. I already had a ream I paid $29 for lol.
I know with this stuff it's so hit and miss at times. I'm glad you did find it!
Thanks Mary. I love the Accent one, is the Hammermill one you just reviewed the same tone of white as the Accent?
It is very very close; much closer than other's I've found.

I have the Accent Opaque 120 lb, and to me it’s a bit too thick for most of my needs. It’s also not very smooth. Generally I use Neenah. For the price of the Hammermill, I may have to try it. Do you feel it’s sturdy enough? I hate bendy cards! 😜
I agree, I don't use the 120 anymore; too thick. Thanks for sharing this
It is already up to $29.00 on Amazon. CRAZY
Yeah this is frustrating, the companies see an influx of purchases so likely they raise them because of it.
Michaels 110# cover cardstock is $16.99 for 100 sheets now.
I wonder if you can use a coupon
Hi Pam - Recommend checking Michael's online weekly for sales and coupons, as they do put it on buy one get one 50% and buy one get one free rather often. Last month we purchased it when on BOGO free and there was a 1-day coupon for $5 off orders over $10, so were able to get 2 packs of the 100-sheet, 110lb cover stock for $11.99 + tax.
Missed seeing you. Thanks for the info. Where do you get the Hammermill with the chameleon?
Amazon
@@bbuunnyycc thank you
It's linked below in the video description. :)
Anyone know why there is a shortage of the 120# Accent Opaque by the ream?
I don't but I'm hoping someone might
Hi Mary did a search here in Canada I found Michaels had the best deal , are they in the States
Heavyweight white 100 sheets
$19.99 110/300 gsm
Would this be good to buy? 😊🇨🇦
That sounds great! And if you have a coupon use that. I love that paper for quality but it's not as bright white as I want it but if you are using it as the panel and the base it will match perfectly.
I just bought and returned the Hammermill with Panda. 110 lb index weight was way too flimsy.
Indeed it is!
I’ve been using the Hammermill for about a year and a half after the Neenah got too expensive to justify. Now Hammermill is tough to find reasonable and Neenah has dropped their prices in some places so it’s actually less expensive than the Hammermill. I’ve not tried the Accent.
Oh boy...staying on top of these prices is a full time job; lol Thanks s much for sharing that with us!
Hi Mary, I love it when you give us tips to save money.
Dumb question... so how do you use the 110 lb cardstock? I only use 110 for card bases. I use 80 lb for card fronts, die cuts, coloring, etc. So my biggest criterion for the 110 lb cardstock is that it be good and sturdy/thick. I don't care that much how white it is. I mean, yea, I'd like it to be nice and white. But that is not a show-stopper for me. Do you use it for card fronts and die cuts as well?
I have developed a pet peeve when YTers name the Neenah - I guess because it is such a long name and they always have to say the whole "Neenah classic crest 110 blady blady blah". Of course, I totally understand why they always give the full name. It should not annoy me. Yet it does. To the point if I ever saw that cardstock on super sale and it came in at 5 cents per sheet I still might not buy it.
I use heavier cardstock for bases and die cutting; helps me get more dimension quicker. There are so many versions of the Neenah, I'm sure that's why people say the whole name. I bought the wrong version once and it was all my fault for not paying attention. lol
No longer available on Amazon as of 12:46 PDT 10/22/22!
HI Maggie, not sure which isn't available; I just checked and the Hammermill is still there. Try this link: amzn.to/3TKnQ20
@@marypolancodesigns Thanks, your link worked! Much appreciated.
Thanks for sharing this information. I always try to get Accent, and try to stay away from Neenah.
Same, if I can. Thanks!
So I tried a different cardstock paper from Wallyworld. Supposedly 215 gsm, so I was thinking well, it will be like the Accent 80 lb. Heavens NO. Just NO - didn't color well, doesn't stamp particularly well. kinda wimpy all around. sigh. I will go find the chameleon. Yes I will.
Thanks so much for adding this Cindyellen; super confusing at times. I'm happy with this as an affordable option but I do wish it was just the tiniest bit thicker.
OK the one i tried was called pen +gear Premium Cardstock (it was not) Cartulina Premium. 110 lb. 94 bright - it was bright enough. It was a loser for coloring
It is hilarious the whole lbs and GSM thing. I know the lbs is for some purpose but I agree there should be just one universal measurement, which would be gsm as its the useful number to tell the actual thickness of the paper, so for the average consumer the GSM is what matters, not the lbs. Especially with the cover vs. Index nonsense making the lbs even more all over. Ugh. But yeah it should be required of every paper company to have to put the GSM on their products. Can't stand when you can't find the GSM. It's the only consistent measurement
Hear yee hear yee...I second this motions. lol Thank you so much Tiffany!
