they are all connected to each other by the CDG VAL (Train)
It takes 5min to connect terminal 1 and 2 ...

When i first landed in Chicago in 1990 also with United ( DC 10-30 ) i couldn't believe what i saw. So many runways and taxiways. Typical American airport layout with crossing runways. We don't have that in Europe.
