Why doesn’t this have millions of views? It like RUclips hates greatness.
I do a little slight of hand table magic and I've always loved a good mentalist. pure entertainment
Derren is amazing, full stop.
Wunch of Bankers!
0:57 what was that?
I thought 100 but I knew someone would nail it or Derren would say someone nail it.
7... Oh Yeah!
Didn’t he calculate the average and not the mean?
They’re the same thing
There are three main types of averages:
the mean (the sum or product of the values of a group of numbers divided by how many numbers there are in the group);
the median (the middle value of a group of numbers);
the mode or modus (the most common value of a group of numbers).
He told her to say 136
Idk why asking her to confirm they haven’t spoken means it’s true
Real magic!
so considering people were guessing numbers such as 301 like person number 1, for the mean to pan out as 136, that means youve got people guessing about 50 or lower which is just ridiculous
Not really. If you look at the board at 5:29 you can see that 300 is a massive outlier. Most people guessed pretty spot on
even if you exclude 301, i find it real strange that people are guessing as high as 228 and as low as 76 just such a huge range, i mean guessing half or double the actual value is ridiculously odd for so called professional accountants@@maxbracegirdle9990
But the numbers on the board didn’t add up to that!
I'm really sad and bored and put them in a spreadsheet and it does in fact stack up...f knows how that all happened
@@bagpussmacfarlan9008 I put them in a calculator and it gave me a mean of 136 so I don't know what you are doing
@@pinkcustard2703 Eh? Are you critiquing my use of a spreadsheet instead of a calculator?! It all worked out for me too, hence 'it does in fact stack up' 🤷♂
@@bagpussmacfarlan9008 The board is switched. He won't let them see the numbers the second time, only the woman calculating it.

@@RJiiFin feels good calling someone out though.
@@louisbuzzi869That's exactly what a simp would say
@@RJiiFin it's so important to me what other people think, thanks for the laugh.
This is just statistics
No, it isn't at all though is it little guy?
@@goldytwatus1674 Yeah it is, it's the central limit theorem and the law of large numbers.
except the part where he guesses the stuff about the person, that was probably some sort of priming.
@@josephbevan1036well half are women and they are all dressed plainly. Having an accountant in the family is pretty likely if you are one or work in that field
@@nifralo2752 Also, silver jewelery is cheaper than gold
@@nifralo2752 yeah but i mean he could've primed that one woman in particular and then made up barnum statements for her.

i was nowhere near i said 306
