the knack of sleeping on a bed whilst someone else is driving is getting the driver to drive at the right speed..... by that i mean there is a speed (usually slower than the driver wants to drive) that harmonises and resonates with your body - bringing about a prolonged sleep!!

Trent & Alli, Merry Christmas to you both. For myself, Christmas was more traditions than anything else. We always went to Nana Keenan's house Christmas Eve; went to Midnight Mass to listen to chorus and sing hymns; back to her house for Scalloped Oysters and Shrimp and Baked Clams. There were always 25-35 family,neighbors,friends. The counters had all kinds of foods and deserts, nuts etc. Christmas Day, we went to visit Uncles and Aunts homes with homemade gifts of cakes, pies, breads. My dad was a doctor and every November he would ask his patients to donate new items like,thru his office ,gloves, hats, boots, sweaters and coats and jackets. He taught me how to wrap gifts, not always the right way, but the love would be seen. Traditions, that is very important to me. As an adult, I am a member of a group "FAMILY"... It is an anagram meaning...ForAlwaysMakeItLikeYours= FAMILY. The purpose is to share what you can with a Total Stranger...Let me tell you, the looks and smiles you see come across strangers faces, makes you feel so alive and you walk around with a smile on your face and in your heart...ex: Starbucks>>>>Buy a coffee for the third person that is in line behind you...😊 ex: Grocery Shopping: Buy a Chicken, Have the person wrap it up and have the register person give it to the fifth person ...😃....I worked at the Maine Medical Center and would do this for some of the homeless folks in the cafeteria...😜 You both probably can think of a few other ideas where "FAMILY" concept can be used...the best part is the reactions...Christmas is a time for giving...as always, Hugs from KENNEBUNK Maine.
Christmas Eve is spent with my wife’s family and Christmas Day is spent with my family. The kids are mostly adult now so the get togethers are more subdued. Thanksgiving is for the extended family and politics, let the games begin!
I used to really enjoy Christmas but once my oldest son passed away on 1/20/2018,It now is very hard for me! This is my first Christmas with out him...I still put a tree up and decorated for my 5 year old grandson..........’.’

Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁🎄totally understand the need for junk food when dealing with a LONG HAUL but Don't forget pure protein...eggs, tuna, they will keep you awake, while sugar will make you drowsy! As for the holidays & this family thing, remember, not all people have great family relationships & it's rather a cliche. England has opened cafes for single people. It's ok to be alone. I prefer to spend New Years Eve alone, in places w/crowds, as I hash over the past year & the new one encroaching. Just saying, there are ALL kinds of relationships & situations! 😁🎄🎁🎄
It goes without saying sleeping in the bed while someone is driving is not safe. What do you think of hanging a hammock? In case of accident the hammock will swing holding the passenger in place. Plus they are surprisingly comfortable. Backpacking with a hammock instead of a tent is amazing.
That is a cool idea and I think you are right, if you turn the hammock side to side, it would just swing forward if there were a sudden stop, sort of cradling you in the hammock.

moving???!!!! a guy hit me while I was parked and sleeping and my neck is perm damaged. I got about 10 grand in settlement after doctor bills... over 2 years nearly 3 years to be semi back to norm. 5 months constant migraine... lost job plus new jobs. was 10 grand worth the pain and not working for years??? what do you think. I still can't waitress.

DON'T DO IT! My parents tried that once! Mom hit some black ice and slid off the road. It went downhill from there, literally and figuratively. Both remarkably lived, but ended up in the hospital for lengthy stays. Vans are meant to ridden in with a seatbelt securely in place. OOXXOO Linda
