My best guess is that WB or Rocksteady is hoping that by putting out a new Arkham Game for a device that hardly many people have, let alone have interest in probably purchasing, they are somehow hoping that this alone will be enough to entice enough people to go out & purchase that device alone. I'm not sure if anyone at all understands that Arkham Knight was Rocksteadys last Batman Arkham game. However it was not confirmed to be the last Arkhamverse game so anything we see arkham related anymore will be from other game devs in any form they want to make one.
I would be completely content with DLC for Arkham Knight engine. With a restored/normally running Gotham City, where each DLC costs $10-20 and one of the rogue's gallery is doing something around Gotham. We need to investigate, figure out who is doing what and where, and stop them (while also stopping other random crimes and such). Basically a Batman: The Animated Series simulator.
Why it had to be a VR game? Why Suicide Squad had to be live service? We just want story driven single player games like Asylum, City, Origins, and Knight...
The fear toxin, Joker's blood and Braniacs mind control messed Batman's brain up so bad, he's literally fighting the rats of Gotham now, wow. So I'm guessing Ratcatcher is the lead villain in this, or at least one of... alright.
Ratcatcher/Rat trap is one of the best batman stories of all time. You're ignorant and it shows. I bet you're one of those fanboys that consider the riddler and the Penguin to be lame.
It was alluded to in Arkham City via one of the stories. He was making money selling goods that he stole with the rats and Penguin caught wind. He then dragged him through the streets and into either the Iceberg Lounge or the Museum "Never to be seen again" Maybe he is dead. But then again, we all thought the same thing about Scarecrow for a time....
It bothers me a little that this is a VR game, but i'll wait for the finished product to add more reviews, and I wonder who will voice Batman this time.
I'm not saying that the game is going to be bad, it's just that we haven't had a new Batman Arkham game for a while since 2015 and when they announce a new Batman game, but it's in VR, it's really disappointing.
