    "the point is drinking the tea." - That got a good chuckle out of me.
    I was really glad to see this tea being featured. It has been on my wishlist for a while now, but have always found a reason to bump it for something else. I'll make sure it gets prime placement next order.

      Yes... this was one of the more humorous episodes. We were both in a good mood! You won't regret picking this one up.

    Giving you my up-vote for the name alone! I will be grabbing one of these later this week, looks delicious. Also didn't even think to check if you had a RUclips channel until now, so this is a nice surprise.

    Big fan of your black tea selection, looking forward to try out this one! Is it good for aging as well?

    • @Yunnansourcing
      @Yunnansourcing  5 лет назад +1

      Yes the purple black teas are good for aging. Maybe not for decades but for 5 to 10 years.

    Scott- can you elaborate on the Tea with butter thing? Have never had butter in tea. Almond milk yes. Recipe? Thanks from Joe

      I've been boiling old ripe, 1 liter of tea, then add 1/5 stick of unsalted grass fed butter, himalayan pink salt, and optional collagen protein powder. I drink 1/2 a liter in the morning.

    How many grams of tea and how much water do you reccomend for Purple Voodoo. And steep times if you will also.

    • @Yunnansourcing
      @Yunnansourcing  5 лет назад

      We used 7 grams in a 120ml teapot. Steep times you should figure out yourself through experimentation, but shorter in the beginning and then longer.

    Is storing/aging purple teas the same as puerh?

    • @Yunnansourcing
      @Yunnansourcing  5 лет назад +2

      I am aging it like I would raw pu-erh. Also keeping one sealed and will try in 5 years and compare.

    • @13jgasho
      @13jgasho 5 лет назад +2

      @@Yunnansourcing are you keeping it with your raws? And by sealed do you mean sealed in a plastic bag?

    • @Yunnansourcing
      @Yunnansourcing  5 лет назад +2

      Yes.. keep with my raws. I sealed it in a silver ziplock pouch. A clay jar would be nice, but I don't have those.

    at what temperature should I brew the tea?

    • @Yunnansourcing
      @Yunnansourcing  5 лет назад +1

      Atleast 90C, but could be hotter if you like a stronger taste.

    I love the dehong wild tree purple. Forgive my ignorance. Why press a black tea? And you said something about it being still new. Isn't black tea normally drunk new?

    • @Yunnansourcing
      @Yunnansourcing  5 лет назад +1

      Black teas age when compressed. Maybe not for decades like pu-erh but easily for several years or more. Wild Purple black teas age especially well. Compressing them allows us to put our blend into a nice form that enhances and preserves it's essence. I'd recommend this for drinking now and up to 5 years.

    Do you let your dog taste some tea sometimes?

    • @Yunnansourcing
      @Yunnansourcing  5 лет назад +1

      She's not interested in tea at all... she doesn't even like the smell.
