    A few thoughts that came to mind when watching this is that I'd suggest that you lined the old tub with tarp, place the new tub inside it, line the new tub with tarp, and then start using it. Would have made it a lot more durable in the long run. Just a suggestion :)
    Really love your aviary and I hope to be able to own something like it someday. Thanks for sharing these videos with us!

      Shanny wish you would have told me that before I did this lol. Thats an awsome idea and would make it last a lot longer in the long run. God knows i dont want to have to take this apart again 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for watching glad your enjoying the video!

    I love the idea of water fall, I tried it in my aviary unfortunately I had lots of bacteria and parasite infection that was deadly to my birds. I had to tear it down and got rid if it. Not sure how you keep your water clean?

    Love this! All that work paid off with something beautiful. I have questions tho. I have become a bit obsessive about birds being exposed to toxins in their food and drink. I just may be overthinking on this but I have read that the hardware cloth has zinc. Seems like running water would release that zinc and it is toxic to birds. Am I worrying too much? Thank you. I absolutely love what you have done!

    Lots of useful information, I wonder if anyone would suggest to me what kind of pump (Capacity) would work best for a similar pond. Thanks. Again, great work for doing this video.

    Another wonderful video thankyou. A question please.... do you have a tap on, topping up the water all the time? I would imagine necessary because of evaporation etc ... and is there a build up of rubbish in the container below?

    I admire your dedication to your birds 😊 Does it ever freeze where you are? If so, does it freeze (parts of) the fountain? I want to make a type of fountain in our aviary, but we reach temperatures of -10 Celsius / 14 Fahrenheit, so I feel like even a fountain would freeze. My dad has a pond with a fountain and his fountain also froze 😅 We're hoping to find a way to make a water source that doesn't freeze...

    I would like to make a simpler mini version of this for my 3x5 ft flight. Is there anything you can recommend for this? Also would it be possible to keep minnows in it? Also, What incubator is that? I really like it and may be getting a new one soon

    • @emmsue1053
      @emmsue1053 Год назад

      I think you're in a whole different world with minnows, I have never done an aviary but had several large tanks.. Your fish, no matter how small are going to defecate. Are you going to install sophisticated filters & keep them clean so your birds have clean water? Need advice from a pond specialist. Good luck, they are lovely for the birds!

    • @Randomhandlelol
      @Randomhandlelol Год назад

      @@emmsue1053 Yes I was definitely going to have actual filters for them as well as a separate watering dish for the birds still. Although at this point I may be able to build an aviary next year so I can plan something better :)

    That's a weird hobby for a chill person. It's a coincidence there is a chicken as my pic right now. I roll through videos of easily offended people accusing other people of being offended. Like the kind of people that can't handle being seen as fragile but that makes them fragile kind of deal. And the people usually left that like birds were just born lacking social skills. It is an essay I have to write. But I procrastinate watching this vid instead and this guy is like... fuckit, imma build a waterfall for my finches.
