Great to see this vid! Knowing you have an aviary is great! Hope you get some chicks! Came here from Last Homely House Channel and all the wonderful things you’ve done for Kate.🦌💌❤️👍🪚🛠️🔨
How even more blessed would those birds be if they were not kept in a small shed and only allowed a few feet of air space to fly, all because a human enjoys keeping them incarcerated for his own enjoyment.
Ahhh yes Indeed, a beautiful learning experience as we in Newfoundland and Labrador don't have these aviary! It must be too cold & windy here in our Atlantic provinces. Thanks again and Take care 🍁🇨🇦👏🦋🌈
Ant, what a lovely hobby! Your birds are so beautiful! They are chattering away telling how they love their new home! Your stone house is beautiful, too! Well done! , love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻

This is such a beautiful idea and quite an impressive structure as well. A home to loads of birds! I have never seen an aviary till just now. Nice to work side by side with Jack . Can’t wait for you to show us the birds that are attracted ! Great paint job , Jack ! Perhaps Kate will have you build her an aviary ?? ❤ Marilyn xx
Thank you Anthony for making this video. It really made me smile watching the little birds at the end. You have done a brilliant job and the birds seemed very excited while you were building. All chatting about their new home. Jack is a real chip off the old block. he he.. Well done to both of you.
The local nursery has one with finches. When my daughter was young, I would leave her sitting in front of it and go shopping in peace for the plants I wanted to put in my flower beds.
What a marvelous aviary! Great job, Ant. Thank you for sharing this project. Looks like the birds are thrilled with their new home. My grandmother had an aviary and I would watch those birds for hours.
Hi Ant . The aviary looks great and the birds are happy. I have many finches come to my garden here in Aus, and they love to eat oranges. I cut the oranges in 1/4 pieces so everyone gets a bit. It's lovely to just sit and watch the birds isn't it. Thanks Ant 👍👍😊
Ant so enjoyed the project and video. Brought back memories of my granddad who raised beautiful small birds. It was the first thing he would show us grandchildren, was his new little one. Wish I had been old enough to remember his name for them. I can’t tell you are excited about these birds. What a wonderful carding nature you have. Thank you.
Very nice job. That was very interesting. Putting that black paint on ....cool idea. I love seeing all the birds in the little groups. Looks like they are enjoying their new home.
This was so much fun to watch! I’ve never seen so many little birds together like that, it must be enjoyable to have them right there at your house! Great idea with the black paint! Thank you Ant & Jack!
Great build nicely put together When I was building some outdoor flights a few years back when it came to creating access to the outdoor flights I used some cat flaps mounted upside down so that when the flap falls flat it creates a landing platform, being made of plastic they are very easy to clean also the cat flaps have a built in lock
So the lesson here is... If you want the neighbors to see everything you do, paint your fence black ... If all you want them to see is your fence, paint it white. 💕🌞🌵😷
Brilliant l have made a few myself when l was younger , l lost alot though winters, been thinking about making a nice little myself am in uk West Yorkshire 👌
Wow! This is crazy! What a chatter going on. I think I love it. Have you thought about putting in some small plants or vines to make it more natural, similar to an aquarium? You could even paint some plants on the back walls if you're an artist.
Seeing as how I’m named after a bird, this project brought me a lot of joy! Fascinating…! How many birds can you shelter in a facility such as this? I know you said that you plan to breed them; do you intend to sell them, too? Thanks very much for sharing such an interesting video, Ant! And thanks to Jack for helping, too!
@@robinmccamont Hi Robin .. great name by the way .. the aviary can house probably fifty birds but I’m not sure I will keep that many and I will sell some as there is a lot of demand for them in my local area
@@ants_countrylife - Thanks, Ant! I suspected that you would eventually be selling some of the birds… and wow! 50 birds! That’s quite a lot! Bet they make quite a lot of noise when you’re at full capacity. How long do they live on average? I had parakeets when I was a kid, but they never seemed to live very long. I don’t know if I just had bad luck with them, or if they just have short life spans. Anyway, keep up the great work! Love your videos!
I haven’t seen a clothes drying rack for ages. Here in the us you hardly see any laundry drying outside. In many places it’s not allowed. Visual clutter and all that.
I would love to have a clothesline again !!!! We have Amish in Iowa who hang clothes outside all year long. Some have clotheslines that go from the house all the way up a huge light pole. They use a pulley system. 😊
