I was introduced to Band-Maid in 2014 and can still say that Blooming is the pinnacle and culmination of their work. Their ability to transition and layer, is amongst the best in the entire industry. Glad you’re enjoying them 🤘🏼
Agree to disagree. I love this song but all of unseen world is my favorite LP and its not even close for me. I am so excited to see what musical heights they'll reach. They seem freer in every release and every concert.
After 3-1/2 years in with Band-Maid and this is still in the top five for me.....don't know what the other four are but this one is a Rock Masterpiece. The other Japanese band are very good to great but Band- Maid is phenomenally deep and can go anywhere with regards to genre. As I've always stated, NEVER underestimate their music videos.
This song and "Choose Me" were featured in the Netflix movie "Kate." The Maids were even featured in the movie playing themselves as the band playing in a club scene. Thanks for giving more love to our favorite band!
Blooming is a perfect Band-Maid song, the voices with harmonies, the dynamic of the music, the bridge with the solo and the third verse with all combined. it's a wonder.
Shambles just dropped about 24 hours ago and is pretty much a certified banger!! To say they set the stage on fire might be an understatement lol. To release this now before their Lollapalooza performance was a good call. Highly recommended!! 🤘🎸🔥
The only indication I've ever had that there may be a God or Gods is the existence of BAND -MAID, five insanely talented musicians with charisma off the charts who have forged a sisterhood over ten years creating a catelogue that many an established act would die for and aspiring musicians dream of. BM what a fcken band, VIVA the Maids peace and love Po 🙏🎼🥁🎤🎸🍻
Normally, I don't like homework, but I do love this. ❤ Kanami tasked everyone with writing their own part for this song. She then took all the parts the members wrote, and combined it into this brilliant piece of music. A great example of just how important every member is to the overall sound of BAND-MAID.
Excellent! Thanks K-Ross. Don't know if anyone mentioned that "Blooming" and "Choose Me" both featured in the Netflix action movie "Kate". The Maids themselves cameoed as themselves in the club scene playing "Choose Me", and so are listed in the credits. Movie Stars!
Blooming has never dropped out of my top 5 yet. Check out the MV for FROM NOW ON. Their latest instrumental and MY current favorite. For melodic hard rock, both musically and vocally, you cannot find a more Awesome band than BAND-MAID. And the best part is that after 10 years together they are still ascending. Peace. 4.4
I dipped my toe into Japanese rock before Band-Maid, but they have been far and away my favorite. Almost every song has been added to my normal playlist, they just stand apart from the rest for me.
Band Maid is like my musical soul. Everything I love about rock/metal/prog/grunge ECT is just wrapped up in 5 young ladies from Japan. I also love Lovebites, Nemophilia, BABYMETAL & many others, but Band Maid is my fave
They play good old rock and roll. Not pop punk like some of the metalheads claim. Where did they get that crap from anyway? It is good to hear Band maid doing Band Maid things! Rock and Roll will never die.
Ah....Blooming. Still in my top two, depending on my mood at any given time. Blooming and Daydreaming. Then a 50 song pile up for number 3...🤘😆🤘 WORLD DOMINATION!!! PO!!!🕊
Great reaction again, you Maidiac! Another playlist addition, I'm sure! Saiki really gets to show off her vocal range in the live version of WONDERLAND, on their YT channel. PS Your list of favourite songs will keep growing every time you hear a new song. I have a Top 3 list...but it's got 10 songs in it!
Yay! 🎉❤Blooming!! I agree this video is extremely well done. This is one of a few music videos that do them justice. What a masterpiece of musicianship and arrangement. Truly. It’s so common that your favorite Band Maid song is usually the last one you listened to. It’s what we all go through. And @ 7:29 I noticed the mild slip saying “Band-Aid!!” 😂 (Let’s see how many fans catch it) As a subscriber, I’ve seen all your reactions so far, but have no idea where you’re going next?! I’m with you on the preferences for Band Maid sounds and styles. And knowing that helps me offer suggestions for you. 1) A double-feature. Their third single was “Daydreaming/Choose Me.” Both have become setlist standards and highlight their unique abilities to hit multiple genres and still be Band Maid 2) “Puzzle,” official live Tokyo Garden 2023. An example of their powerful, complex, multi-layered style of rock. 3) “Turn Me On,” live at Zepp Tokyo. Why? It’s right there with DICE as a hard rock banger, drop tuned chugger, and it rarely gets suggested. You need this on your playlist 🎧 Wherever you’re headed down the pigeonhole, I’ll get notifications 🔔
Good one K-Ross. Don't worry about your favorite Band-Maid song, it's usualy the last one you heard. Check out Sayonakidori acoustic, a different kind of awesomeness.
If you are looking for another Band Maid song to react to, may I suggest "Afterlife?' There is some very entertaining rage featured in the video. It may be their most intense rocker yet. It's certainly up there.
Considering that it seems most BM fans put Blooming at or near the top of their favourites list, it's YT views does seem low to me. Top 4 song for me anyway with Anemone, Awkward and Puzzle
Until recently this would have been one of the few songs most fans would say the MV is their best version. They included it in their set at "Welcome to Rockville" last May (there's an excellent fan cam) and the following shows (Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Detroit) so maybe that has changed a little. It looses some of the little details of the MV but gains a lot in spirit and energy.
If I had to shoot a music video on that set, I could just see myself turning the wrong way and shattering a neon tube with my guitar! I don't try to choose. It depends on my mood. If I feel like classic, old school style metal....it's Lovebites. Bone crushing modern metal.....Nemophila. But nothing like Band Maid for great, straight ahead hard rock.
Great, it's just after 2 am here, and this song affects me better than any energy drink out there. I don't think I'll be able to sleep anytime soon. 🤭🔥🤘🏻 The whole package is also my reason why I prefer B-M to all the other bands that are everything but bad. Depending on my mood, I listen to more of the others at times, but at the end of the day I always come back to the Maids. I simply feel at home with their music. _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' 🎶🕊
Their first two videos (Thrill and Real Existence) both have the cheesy moment where they show a close-up of each member's face in succession (they're still great videos, though). I've always assumed that this video intentionally did the opposite by avoiding showing their faces through most of the video, with the exception of a few shots showing Saiki and Miku's mouths while they're singing. Top notch mv in all respects and a song that stands out as exceptional even by Band-Maid standards.
I think it depends on the viewer's context. I love the "Before Yesterday" MV because the live video + studio audio + "on tour" shots are so much like the MVs from the era that B-M reminds older fans of musically - but the latter half of that era drove me away from mainstream rock because it became so much like the "pop" (i e. mass market mainstream corporate product) that those people hate today that made them turn to metal and all its sub- genres (or just quit listening to anything new).
Band Maid are my fav band...see them in about two weeks....give Daydreaming a listen.....you will hear a different side of Band Maid...oh....the guitar solo...is worth it alone...keep the reactions to Band Maid coming...they don't have a bad song...oh yeah...and keep the Twice one's coming...fyi..Jihyo solo drops next month..let's go...lol
Thank you for nice reaction. Anywhens, I won't suggest another Band-Maid song, cuz 1., you're going to get to them all eventually and 2., they're all GREAT! So, I'll suggest another band who happen to be way high on my list. Band name is Glim Spanky. A cool intro track is "Give Me Your Anger" (at least that's what the Googly machine says.) ruclips.net/video/OKeFoFFwYJM/видео.html Great reaction, new Maidiac K-Ross and thanks much!! 🕊

Daydreaming, Without Holding Back, Giovanni, Influencer. You may be ready for Sayonakidori acoustic, or maybe Band-Maiko.

Jim i thought you were gonna say "After 3½yrs in jail with BAND-MAID".😆 Phew you're not a vicious criminal then:)
They write and produce everything themselves. And consistently use the same videographers for live and MVs.
Your favorite Band-Maid song is always the one you just heard. That said, it really is an awesome song.
This song and "Choose Me" were featured in the Netflix movie "Kate." The Maids were even featured in the movie playing themselves as the band playing in a club scene. Thanks for giving more love to our favorite band!
My pleasure! Love them!

Band Maid is more known for their live performances. But too many fans sleep on their studio music videos. I love this video.
For example "Don't You Tell ME" is not only a great song but a great video, especially for new fans. (And watch for Akane's smirk at the very end) 😊😊
You've only scratched the surface. Band Maid are INTERESTING, you never quite know what you're going to get
Can’t really go wrong with any Band-Maid track, but this one is for sure a personal favorite.

Proof again, the last Band-Maid song is your favorite Band-Maid song. Happens all the time.
Band-Maid. Blooming Brilliant! Thx, Ross!
Mincho out did herself on this one the thunder twins and lightning girl with the ice queen right in the middle with her own speedy vocals amazing

Japan Rock🇯🇵
Hard agree on how good the atmosphere of the mv is. I especially like that the camera largely focuses on them playing their instruments.
Yay! 🎉❤Blooming!!

Blooming is my favorite as well, and yeah, that’s a high fscking bar to maintain. This band rocks.

For a lot of people their favorite BAND-MAID song is the last one they've heard.
👍 Good reaction. I love female vocals. 🖖 ❤
Thank you!
Your thumbnail text certainly tracks. :D So many amazing songs
Gacharic Spin on or may be another Japanese band to insert in your journey.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!!
For a wild card of a song, check out "Milestone" by Nothing's Carved in Stone (another japanese band), the bassline is even crazier than MISA'S! :D
