It was there for me to listen to when I was losing people and things were going wrong. I love that so many people love this song and Washed Out. I wonder if he knows how beautiful his music is and how many people it helps everyday.

This song takes me out of my depression and puts me into my happy place. It takes me to a land where I am free of all suffering and I am just content. When I listen to this song it takes me to a warm sunny afternoon, in a white sundress looking out to a field. Dancing, with the sunshine on my skin. I am free of hate, of pain, but just full of love and bliss.
This song is amazing, like a lucid dream of floating above the clouds, looking at the inevitable gleaming rays of the sun, to suddenly land on a forgotten island in the sky. This island containing marvels of different varieties of trees, the beach glowing with it's never ending waves, to then accepting that everything is beautiful just the way it is. A great feeling of comfort and contentment.
Played this on my first date with Deanna..... Now we are engaged, and I always reflect back on the beauty of this song.... This is truly what falling in love sounds like. Thank you Washed Out.

I love how trippy and layered this track is then you realize that he has snuck in what sounds like a steel guitar which just raises the stakes as far as I'm concerned. The steel has been much maligned and abused over the years yet in the right hands it's magic.
