- We visit Brajlovic steakhouse, Bosnia's most famous meat house and are treated to a magnificent spread.
The owner, Sejo Brajlovic is the Balkan version of Nusret's Saltbae.
Love my Bosnian brothers and sisters from Palestine. Very nice and humble people.

You're somewhat correct Kamala, in Bosnia we love meat. Not only meat but most of Bosnian dishes have some meat in it. We have a saying that says we have to eat meat so it can "hold" us (meaning the meat is stalling the hunger lol). Unlike our Arab brothers, we season meat with almost only salt and pepper. No other spices needed. The meat is the tasty part, not spices and the fat is only from cooking, meat juices.

Basically it's everywhere halal food in Sarajevo, no pork, but you can ask also without problems, people are very helpful.

We were there two days ago, they did not have almost anything that was in the menu, we picked 4 meals from the menu, they said "Oh, sorry, we're out of it". What they have is "anything quick from the grill" which you can get pretty much anywhere. We paid for our drinks and went looked for some other place to eat.

BUREK-Turkey(all kinds of pastries made from pie crust), Bosnia(crusts+fat+meat),Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia(crusts+fat+meat or + cheese or +spinach or + green).
Modern BUREK was invented in Serbia, in the city of Niš, by the turkish guy, i can not remmember the name.
Balcan food is the same food.
Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Romania, continental Croatia and Montenegro and western and central Bulgaria, the same food, the same dishes.
Also, western Turkey and continental Greece,, almost the same food as rest of Balcans.
What turkish food is ultra popular on balcans.
1. BAKLAVA.
2. BUREK. modern burek was invented in Serbia but basicaly it is turkish or lebanese dish.
3. TULUMBE. Also turkish and midle eastern cake. Something like spanish CHURROS
+agda(in Bosnia) +šerbet or sugar sirupe(in Serbia) i do not know how turskih people called it.
4.SARMA(in Serbia it is usually pork or beef meat rolled in cabage, in Turkey it is beef meat roled in vine leaf)
Ma nemas ti poima,ovo je princip srpska ptica,srpska voda,srpsko nebo a u sustini primitivizam.
Prvo pljeskavica su Njemci poceli praviti sistemski prije wwi tj mljeti vise vrsta mesa s(konjetina,svinjetina,govedina) i pravili sendvice koji su dobili ime hamburger po Hamburgu gradu gdje su pravljeni a na balkanu je u fazonu sa lepinom ili somun sto je tursko nasljedze tj ne fermentira tijesto koje ne nadolazi i to poslije ww1 tj pronalazenjem modernijih nacina hladzenja,cuvanja mesa.
Drugo, cevap i kebab su totalno dva razlicita jela.Taj sistem pripremanja mesa su Turci donjeli na Balakn ali je vremenom promjenjeno i nigdje na svijetu neces pojesti cevape kao u Bosni jer se samo tu takvi prave na taj nacin,mozda u Srbiji ,Hrvackoj isto izgledaju ali definitivno nemaju isti ukus i recept.
Trece,nije Turcin nego Albanac poslije WW2 otvorio pekaru u Nisu i pravio slagani burek,dok u Bosni je to pita polagusa i to je najjeftinija za sirotinju.Da bi znao sta je prava pita ispod saca moras doci u Sarajevo nema to u Beogradu Zagrebu Skoplju.
Cetvrto odjebi od Bosne drzi se cvaraka.
