This video was one of the only videos I could find on youtube with this combination being reviewed. Based on this video, I decided to purchase a Zhiyun Crane (ZC). Zach is using the original Version 1 of the ZC. I purchased the Version 2. When I first tried the GH5 with 0.64x metabones speedbooster and the Sigma 18-35, I was very disappointed. It is not possible to get a perfect balance on the ZC with this camera and lens, but as Zach showed in his video, he was not in 100% balance either. By moving the adjustment on the pitch motor to fully down (max extension, about 0:45 of the video) this places the Center of Gravity very low which will put strain on the other motors, but is basically the only way to get the camera to work on the ZC without having geometry interferences. When I turned my ZC on, I was getting a bad oscillation on the pitch motor up and down. I could hold the assembly still to get the oscillation to stop, but as soon as I made a move on the gimbal, the oscillation would start again and could get quite bad. After a bunch of headscratching, I downloaded the Zhiyun gimbal tools program from the ZC website. In the lower right corner of the settings screen, some of the language was still in Chinese. I downloaded the Google translate app and found out this portion of the program was where I could set the strength of the motors to maximum. This corrected the oscillation I was experiencing. I will try to post a video of my experiences as a follow up.
Hey everybody! Really appreciate all feedback on this video. As many of you have pointed out, it wasn't the smartest decision of me to play back the test footage with speed variations. So I'll be doing a more in depth test with real-time footage soon! ALSO! Just to clarify, I'm definitely using the V1 Crane. If you still want to purchase V1, I would definitely check eBay. Link to V2 is in my bio if you want to go that route! Thank you all for your patience. Blessings!
Zachariah Mayfield hey bro. Thank for taking your time making this video. I have a gh5 with the sigma lens and I am planning on getting this gimbal. What are your thoughts?
Hey, man! Thanks to your video, I was able to get this to work!!! I have a V2 Crane, and it's almost not-doable due to the mounting plate not going back as far. But if I get it close enough, the motors are strong enough to do the rest. One important tip I don't know if you mentioned is to make sure that you connect with the phone app and set the motor strength to "strong". Also, taking the eye-cup off was a good tip. It was bumping the back motor before, and now I get a pretty good range of movement with it. This is definitely on the edge of what the Crane is capable of, but it's also the heaviest lens I've got.
Dude I am SO happy to hear this man!! Seriously, and thank you for your feedback. I will definitely look into those app settings. This is what I love about the RUclips filmmaking community, we can all help each other out! Blessings sir!
Great to know that this worked with the first Genration, thanks for the detailed testing! The Crane 2 does indeed hold a gh5 + SB + SIGMA 18-35 + RodeMicPro.. You can find some test footage on my channel, lovely combo!
Awesome, thanks! I have all of these pieces right now. I was curious where that cable came from for start/stop/AF? Did the crane come with it or did the GH5 come with it? Also, did you do the firmware update to get the crane to hold more weight? Thanks again!
Hey man! Here's a link to the control cable (www.amazon.com/Zhiyun-Crane-M-Panasonic-Supports-Focusing/dp/B01M29U6ZS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1497209286&sr=8-1&keywords=zhiyun+gh4+cable) Cheap and totally worth it.
Thanks dude, love the subtle humor. Just traded in my 24-70mm tamron for this lens - I'm getting the Zhiyun gimbal next for my gh4. How do you focus with it?
Well thank you man :) This lens has been my go to for over a year now. I use the Zhiyun control cable mentioned in the video to grab a focus point. It works pretty well! And only $25
I have the same camera set up and am looking to invest in a gimbal. I'm torn between the Dji Ronin & Zhiyun. I know for sure the Ronin will work but it's much larger and more expensive. I really like the Zhiyun Crane because of its small form, quality, and would save me some money. But I'm still not convinced it will perform well for a full days shoot. Do the motors seem to struggle on tilts or switching to inverted? Is there any jitter? I keep reading the Zhiyun will not support the GH5 well. If you make another video, I would like to see more raw shots without slow motion or quick cuts. So far you have the best video source for this setup since the GH5 is still new. Thanks for making the review!
The ronin is definitely a monster. But if you shoot with a small rig and want simple gimbal work, save your money and get the Zhiyun. I recommend getting the version 1. I've heard from multiple people that V2 can't hold as much wait for some reason. But I'll work on getting another test video up!
Thanks! Yea definitely the Ronin M would be my choice if the Zhiyun doesn't work out. GH5 + Sigma 18-35 is my workhorse setup. I know if I get a Ronin I'll also need a monitor so $ adds up for sure. So yeah just trying to confirm that setup works smoothly without motor strain. I know Zhiyun says up to 1500kg with firmware update but the GH5 setup I have is about 1650kg. I saw on one video the Canon Mark IV couldn't hold a tilt up for more than a few seconds on the Zhiyun.
Apparently the Crane is on sale now but I was curious if this setup would work, thanks for making this! Your footage looked really tight too, nice job. Make sure Zhiyun cuts you a share, it may have sold me one haha
I just subscribe to your channel, good stuff Zachariah, bravo. Just one question which one are you going to use the most for his practicality and efficiency? -Zhiyun Crane or the classic Glidecam HD2000
Xav Neg thank you for the sub man! Honestly the Zhiyun is the only gimbal I've used so I can really answer that for ya. But I can say that the Zhiyun has been really wonderful for me!
New test video is up! Watch here --> ruclips.net/video/G44On6sCvEo/видео.html Thank you all for the support and advice on how to make these tests better! I really do appreciate you all.
Yo! Lawrence represent! Subbed. I'm purchasing a GH5 very soon. What are some other lenses you have that you recommend? I'm thinking the Lumix 12-35 ii is my best bet to cover all my bases in the beginning, but I would appreciate your input as well. Thanks.
Hey, nice video! Question, did you have to upgrade the firmware before using this set-up? I have the same rig (gh4) but I'm still getting very shaky camera movements.
Okay, one more question(I don't know if you have the answer), I noticed both of your tutorials use version 1 of the crane. Have you used version 2 of the crane? I've recently purchased version 2 but I seem to have problems balancing using your method.
Bro I’m just getting in to this 4K GH5 Lifestyle and it’s getting pretty expensive. I can save almost 300 if I get the Nikon version of the Metabones SB and the Sigma 18-35. Or would you recommend sticking with the Canon versions?? Thank you so much for your help!
Hey man! Yes it's quite a big investment. The reason I go canon glass is because I know I'll be upgrading to an EF mount cinema camera at some point. This way I can use all my lenses on a variety of cameras.
Nice! Also, sorry - one more question: how long does it take for your arm to get tired with this rig? I appreciate this kinda depends on the beefiness of your arm...
Ric Rawlins Don't be sorry brother! Honestly it's pretty easy to start feeling fatigue on this rig. But I've learned to attach it to a monopod and that helps tremendously
thanks for the info. I have the gh5 and looking at getting a faster lens such as the sigma or the Pany 10-25 I know they are huge and I do have the same Crane as well and wondered if they would work. Thanks again for the test.
Lindan Caldwell it's just a better running/faster camera. Little bit bigger which I really like. Slightly better in low light. Much sharper slo motion. And the 4K 60p is nuts.
thanks mate for this review - made my decision to buy one. but there's one thing to didn't mention or it's smth wrong with my setup - it doesn't tilt much. maybe 20-30°, but no more. anyway - thank you, no regrets!
Gday Zachariah! I was just wondering: have you had a chance to try Sigmabones on the Ronin S? If so, any thoughts on the difference? My gut tells me it might be kinda heavy...
I'm using the Zhiyun Control Cable! It allows me to grab focus (with autofocus engaged) using a button on the crane itself! It's only $25 and there's a link in the description!
you using a V1 or V2 of the crane. I have a v2 and the base plate looks different. Having a hard time balancing since it's lens heavy. Same lens and camera body as yours.
do you think i can do this with the canon 80d and the sigma 18-35? trying to see if i need to buy crane plus, crane 2, or dji ronin s. Right now i'm using my crane Zhiyun v2 with my 80d and a 24mm 2.8 pancake lens which seems to work fine but i want to use my sigma lens
I'm now the owner of the Crane used in this video. Am I cool yet? Also, this Crane works with a Nikon D750. Had a little trouble smoothly operating with heavier lenses but it worked great with primes. I've got a GH5 now and the V1 crane works great with Lumix 12-35 2.8 & Lumix 25 1.7
I haven't tested it, but since the a6500 is quite a bit lighter it should work. The only issue I can think of is that since the body is so small and lens is so big, that setup may be a bit front heavy. But worth a shot for sure.
Hi Zachariah, thank's for your great video, I don't know if you can help me with the following: How can I setup the focus to infinity in a Lumix GH5 + Metabones SpeedBooster + Tokina 11-16mm. I need to get everything in focus at the same time, is for a Real Estate video Walk-through using a Zhiyun crane v2 Gimbal Stabilizer. Excuse me if this is a too basic question. Thanks in advance.
That's a great question! The best way to get nearly everything in focus is to stop your aperture as far down as it will go. So for example: f1.8 will be more difficult to keep things in focus. f11 will keep most of the image in focus. Just make sure you have plenty of light!
You're able to have autofocus function with the metabones and sigma lens?! I have the same setup except GH4, haven't gotten GH5 yet but I always assumed this was strictly manual focus only setup.
Andy-Lincoln Estonia Unfortunately the continuous autofocus is pretty crappy with this setup, but I just use the control cable to grab a focus point. That way I don't even have to touch the camera!
HEADS UP. one of the BIGGEST Mistakes ALL of you guys MAKE is shooting and testing cameras stability and Gimbels in SLO MOTION!. you're doing everything in slo mo. that is the absolute worst thing you can do if you're going to demonstrate Stability Shake Bouncing Etc. the world is not in "slow motion" everything should be demonstrated in real-time motion. you can take any! camera handheld without a gimbal run around and shoot slow motion, playback in slow motion and everyone will say wow! that's not how you test stability and smoothness. just a heads up guys. STOP with the slow-motion crap. Anf THAT'S an Order. 😁 Put on your favorite cinematic movie and try to find TWO! slow motion shots in that whole 90 minutes, excluding explosions and car crashes.
I definitely see your point. I pinned a comment mentioning that I'll be doing another test soon. Also though, I'm not making full length films. I love using this gimbal for a few shots in my wedding films, and I also like to slow it down. Don't put limits on creativity brother! But your feedback is appreciated. Happy shooting!
Jason Lindquist I will never sell this lens. Insanely sharp for a zoom and plenty fast for the work I do. It's pretty heavy, but also sexy so it's worth it.
So if you like wide stuff like me, check out this lens! --> www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1337244-REG/venus_optics_ve7520mftstblk_laowa_7_5mm_f_2_mft.html
Are you able to move it around seamlessly without it bumping into the actual crane? A previous crane I owned that was similar to this wouldn't let me flip the stabilizer upside down to get the camera low to the ground, can you do that with the Zhiyun Crane? Thanks!
With the Zhiyun control cable, and the lens and camera set to auto-focus (not continuous) I'm able to grab a focus point using the control on the crane.
It does a decent job in all modes. My opinion is that follow mode works the best! Also lighter lenses work sooo much better, but it was fun to test the limits of this rig.
I get pretty bad wobbling with GH5, SpeedBooster XL and Sigma 18-55. I bought the crane V2 after watching this video and being satisfied that it works with this setup. Cannot even balance it correctly, lens is too heavy and i push the camera as far back as possible but its still too front heavy. Balanced as well as i could, when turning it on, it wobbles about 5 sec then wobble decreases until standing still. When start moving with rig it starts to wobble again, so its pretty much useless, either motor is too weak or it is because balancing problems. I hope i didn't make a mistake buying this instead of Moza air.
I've got zhiyun crane v2. Canon 80d plus sigma 18-35. I've had wobble issue in the beginning. And that was due to improper balancing. Read the manual and balance it accordingly!
I have the same set up that you have. I want to know how can I use it just to focus my subject without my camera start hunting around. i know I can use AF/AE lock button in the camera to do that. But in the Zhiyun crane the cable doesn't work in MF. Do you have any suggestion?
I think you can set all of your autofocus settings but turn off continuous AF, then you should be able to use the cable to just select an autofocus point while shooting. Hope this helps!
I using the same Gimble V1 with Firmware update .1.60 and i could not figger out how the Focusfunktion is workingwith my Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8.The Record Buttom is working fine, but the Focus Pusher do nothing. What is the Trick?
OK Zachariah, here is the Solution. If the Shutter AF on the GH5 is disabled, like i did before, then the shifter level on the Gimble has no effect. thats the Trick.
I've got the same exact setup but the crane keeps doing a slight wobble up and down, sometimes it stops but I can't figure out how to fix it, any ideas?
You need to change the strength of the motors using the Zhiyun Gimbal tools or the older version of the Zhiyun crane app. It will eliminate the wobbling. I am posting a video about this as I speak. Generally speaking, if you get a wobble, the motors need to be set to a higher strength. If you are getting a rapid vibration, then motors need to be set to a weaker strength. With the older version iOS app, you can set motor strength on the fly.
It does, but it isn't continuous sadly. Using that little control cable just allows you to push a button on the gimbal and it just picks an autofocus point. It's decent.
Which speed booster are you usng, and does the autofocus of the sigma lens works well with the gh5? i have this problem with SB XL + sigma 18-35 on GH4 autos focus doesnt work at all, it is always "hunting" for focus, does this happens with the gh5?
thanks for sharing.... but.... showing test footage in hella slow mo isn't really useful really... at 120p the gh5 can get those footages that you just shot handheld... it doesn't really show its flaws that way...
it's strange but I have newest version of zhiyun crane - V2 latest firmware sony a6000 + sigma mc-11 + sigma art 18-35 f/1.8 IT DOESN'T WORK motors a weak even if I chose strong mode in the app Despite Sony is lighter than gh5
Dude that's so freakin weird. I have a close buddy that's been telling me about his issues with V2. I'm actually really glad I'm rocking the V1. I sincerely hope you get it all sorted out man!
It's because a6000 is lighter and doesn't counterbalance the heavy lens. If you put a like 200 gram weight on the hotshoe of the a6000 it'd probably work better tbh
Zachariah Mayfield yeah lol me too. I want to emphasise how good this video is, no joke, every aspect of it, the mini montage when you were taking everything out of the box was downright enjoyable, I replayed it, I actually laughed it was so cool, I laugh when thing impress me like for example good music makes me laugh. If you ever feel like not continueing this RUclips channel, which you may because everything has ups and downs, don't quit, because this is the best tech video I've ever seen hands down.
Woah dude this is awesome info!! You should totally make a video on this. Thanks for sharing man!
Please do! Also super interested in seeing V2 in action with this setup, all angles, with/without the flipscreen open.
Yeah please do it man.
So we're saying Original V1 and M work on this gh5, meta, singma 18-35 setup... potentially all cranes. Which one to get?
Zachariah Mayfield sort these comments out now before anyone else wastes their money on the wrong product.
Hey, man! Thanks to your video, I was able to get this to work!!! I have a V2 Crane, and it's almost not-doable due to the mounting plate not going back as far. But if I get it close enough, the motors are strong enough to do the rest. Thanks for this. I'm looking into getting the gh5 / sigma / speedbooster as well. Looks like it works really well.
Malki Means King amazing combination for sure
Great to know that this worked with the first Genration, thanks for the detailed testing! The Crane 2 does indeed hold a gh5 + SB + SIGMA 18-35 + RodeMicPro.. You can find some test footage on my channel, lovely combo!
Thank you! Yes I actually just got the Crane 2 and I'm loving it!
Awesome! This was really sick footage, love the slow motion effect!
Ches Virden hey thanks man! GH5 is continually blowing me away.
Thank you for testing and sharing! :)
Adam you're so welcome my man!
dope video!! we need more videos like this testing weight capacity great job
Ry Ken I'll definitely be releasing more crane content! Thank you for watching homie
Thanks this was the exact video I was looking for. I have the same setup and did not know it would work.....NOW.....I believe I believe.
wordupmag heck yes!! So glad this could encourage you!
Question For you do you have to re balance the Crane if you zoom from 18mm to 35 mm or will the motors handle the little bit of weight shift?
Luckily I don't have to rebalance!
Awesome, thanks! I have all of these pieces right now. I was curious where that cable came from for start/stop/AF? Did the crane come with it or did the GH5 come with it? Also, did you do the firmware update to get the crane to hold more weight? Thanks again!
Hey man! Here's a link to the control cable (www.amazon.com/Zhiyun-Crane-M-Panasonic-Supports-Focusing/dp/B01M29U6ZS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1497209286&sr=8-1&keywords=zhiyun+gh4+cable)
Cheap and totally worth it.
Thank you, Zachariah

sweet. have you got any videos about the focusing points?
Mark Billy Svensson no! But I'll look into it 😊
Nice one
Be good to see you do one. Noticed there isn't a video done for it yet :)
I have the same camera set up and am looking to invest in a gimbal. I'm torn between the Dji Ronin & Zhiyun. I know for sure the Ronin will work but it's much larger and more expensive. 1650kg?!?!?! that could almost hold my brother! lol jk.
hahaha! wow I said that...
The new firmware update with +3,000 lbs of camera gear support!!
Apparently the Crane is on sale now but I was curious if this setup would work, thanks for making this!
Your footage looked really tight too, nice job. Make sure Zhiyun cuts you a share, it may have sold me one haha
You're so welcome friend! They won't cut me a share, but if you use the links in my description to buy anything on amazon, I get commission from that!
But I can say that the Zhiyun has been really wonderful for me!
the classic Glidecam HD2000 IMO.. but you will a lot of practice as compared to Zhiyun crane. Im a crane user tho ;)
Sorry, lil late to the party here... I was wondering what I.S settings you found best on the gh5 whilst it was on the gimbal. Take your time ;) lol
I've been looking to see if this worked. Thanks Man. Presume version 2 should be fine aswell
So glad this helped! I'm trying to get Zhiyun to send me V2 for test videos.
Zachariah Mayfield I'll keep my eye out for that. Looking forwards to it
How was the auto focus performance? Reliable?
I usually just use manual focus to be honest!
New test video is up! Watch here --> ruclips.net/video/G44On6sCvEo/видео.html
Thank you all for the support and advice on how to make these tests better! I really do appreciate you all.
really cool video bro ! (the faces tracking is hilarious ) =)
Yo! Lawrence represent! Subbed.
I'm purchasing a GH5 very soon. What are some other lenses you have that you recommend? I'm thinking the Lumix 12-35 ii is my best bet to cover all my bases in the beginning, but I would appreciate your input as well. Thanks.
Dude I love Lawrence so much! Do you live in town?
The sigma 18-35 f1.8 is a gorgeous lens, highly recommend it!
Moving back soon for college. Go Jayhawks!
Dope vids. If you're ever looking for a hand with production, I'd love to help out too.
Dude seriously hit me up when you get back into town and I'll have you come to a shoot with me. My email is zachmayfield3@gmail.com
Hey, nice video! Question, did you have to upgrade the firmware before using this set-up? I have the same rig (gh4) but I'm still getting very shaky camera movements.
My firmware is totally up to date. I'm not sure how much that effects the shake but it's probably worth upgrading.
Okay, one more question(I don't know if you have the answer), I noticed both of your tutorials use version 1 of the crane. Have you used version 2 of the crane? I've recently purchased version 2 but I seem to have problems balancing using your method.
Brice Hunter I've heard from some friends that they've had issues with the V2, not sure what the problem is. I'd really like to test one at some point
nice video!the metabones holds the autofocus?also the focal length it changes to what from 18-35?
I don't use continuous autofocus. I just use it to grab a focus point!
1:54 follow the guy on the bench you will see compression artifacts all around him. What is causing this?
wordupmag hmm I'm not sure, I'm not seeing it
Bro I’m just getting in to this 4K GH5 Lifestyle and it’s getting pretty expensive. I can save almost 300 if I get the Nikon version of the Metabones SB and the Sigma 18-35. Or would you recommend sticking with the Canon versions?? Thank you so much for your help!

You rock, thanks for doing these tests. Any chance of seeing what the footage is like without slo-mo/speedup?
Ric Rawlins I can look into doing more tests like that!
You have made my mind up on this. Love it
Dude so awesome! Please let me know how it goes for you!
I will do mate. Just purchased today :) Can't wait for it to come.
thanks for the info. I have the gh5 and looking at getting a faster lens such as the sigma or the Pany 10-25 I know they are huge and I do have the same Crane as well and wondered if they would work. Thanks again for the test.
How's the 5? Any huge differences from the 4?
Lindan Caldwell it's just a better running/faster camera. Little bit bigger which I really like. Slightly better in low light. Much sharper slo motion. And the 4K 60p is nuts.

That makes me so happy! Hope it's treating you well man!
Gday Zachariah! I was just wondering: have you had a chance to try Sigmabones on the Ronin S? If so, any thoughts on the difference? My gut tells me it might be kinda heavy...
I've tested the Ronin S vs The Zhiyun Crane 2 and the Ronin is WAY better in my opinion. Both are kinda heavy but the Ronin is much smoother.
Zachariah Mayfield cheers!
Dope testing. What music track did you use for this?
Not sure! It's been a long time!
why does removing the eye cup help?
What type of focus or auto focus settings would you run with this type of setup?

I would definitely go for the new Ronin-S if I were you!
Hey man great video!! Would you know by any change if this setup would work with the sony a6500?
I haven't tested it, but since the a6500 is quite a bit lighter it should work. The only issue I can think of is that since the body is so small and lens is so big, that setup may be a bit front heavy. But worth a shot for sure.
Great test footage of LFK!! (I miss Lawrence) I got the same combo. Thanks for sharing.
I love Lawrence so much! Thanks for watching homie! Come back to Lawrence sometime!
cool. It's V1 or M version?
This is V1!
Hey how do you find the autofocus on it while using the crane? Thanks for the video. 🙌
Jeff David King thanks for watching! So I have continuous AF off. I use the control cable to quickly adjust focus before I start recording
Put on your favorite cinematic movie and try to find TWO! slow motion shots in that whole 90 minutes, excluding explosions and car crashes.
Happy shooting!
how do you like that lens? i got 12-35mm ii and kinda want to get that one cuz its faster ect. I got ronin m
Jason Lindquist I will never sell this lens. Insanely sharp for a zoom and plenty fast for the work I do. It's pretty heavy, but also sexy so it's worth it.
Thinking about getting this gimbal but what would be some lighter, MFT lens options with this setup ?
So if you like wide stuff like me, check out this lens! --> www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1337244-REG/venus_optics_ve7520mftstblk_laowa_7_5mm_f_2_mft.html
Are you able to move it around seamlessly without it bumping into the actual crane? A previous crane I owned that was similar to this wouldn't let me flip the stabilizer upside down to get the camera low to the ground, can you do that with the Zhiyun Crane? Thanks!
Logan Fouss yes you can flip it upside down. Just have to be careful with the articulating screen!
How were you focussing? Auto or manual?
With the Zhiyun control cable, and the lens and camera set to auto-focus (not continuous) I'm able to grab a focus point using the control on the crane.
Zachariah Mayfield what aperture were you on?
I think I was at 2.5
I'm a bit confused i thought control cable does not work with GH5/s in-terms of focusing
i think the camera looks better than ur old one. thanks for putting me and my bros at 2:15!
SHDWHNTR GAMING I agree, and you're welcome brotha!
did it work in all the crane modes without the motors straining?
It does a decent job in all modes. My opinion is that follow mode works the best! Also lighter lenses work sooo much better, but it was fun to test the limits of this rig.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk! Definitely subbing 👍🏿
YEET
Hey man! Can't seem to find any info, but how do you think a G85 with the 18-35 and speedbooster would do on the Crane V2?
You'll just have to check the specs of each item and see if it falls within the Crane's weight capacity
Was this the Crane V2? Or was this a version before that?
V2 I believe. This was so long ago haha
Thanks for this video. Good Job. The Get Up Kids are my favorite band! Next to Promise Ring
Glad you enjoyed!
I hope i didn't make a mistake buying this instead of Moza air.
same here!
Peeter Kukk except I have the speedbooster ultra
Same here
I'm using the V1. I've heard so many accounts of people having issues with V2. So sorry that happened to you man.
I've got zhiyun crane v2. Canon 80d plus sigma 18-35. I've had wobble issue in the beginning. And that was due to improper balancing. Read the manual and balance it accordingly!
What settings you have on the gh5 ?
Also I'm getting camera shake on this bad boy gh4 XL and sigma.
Good to know! Havent tried it yet!
what is the total weight of this setup?
Is the cable included w/the Zhiyun Crane?
Fernando Morales it's a separate purchase, but only $25 on amazon!
Zachariah Mayfield thank you 🙏🏽✨ . Excuse me, do you have the link ? 😅

Hey Zach. Good stuff.
Is there a video where you did this with the GH4?
You've got so many, I was having a tough time searching through all of them.
Yes, I did it not too long ago!
Thanks man
Feather and the Wind absolutely homie!
Can Tilt Up or Down? not hit the viewfinder? very close to Body......thanks
I switched to the Zhiyun Crane 2. The Crane 1 wouldn't tilt much at all with a heavy lens like the 18-35
Some great buildings in Lawrence. It was nice and all, but when will you share your Spiderman video?
I might have to bust out the ole spidey suit sometime..
I using the same Gimble V1 with Firmware update .1.60 and i could not figger out how the Focusfunktion is workingwith my Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8.The Record Buttom is working fine, but the Focus Pusher do nothing. What is the Trick?
Hmmmm interesting! Are your camera and lens both set to autofocus? Also have continuous AF turned OFF and quick AF ON. Try that and get back to me!
Thank you for you answere
No, there is no function, in any Setup.
can you tell me, what will happen when you move the Pusher up or down.
Same here.
Trevor Bagnell thank you! Please link the video when you post it
hey great video thanks for sharing mate
You're very welcome! And thank you for watching!
is this the crane v1, v2 or another crane by zhiyun? Thanks again!
This was the V1, but I'm currently using Crane 2 and loving it!
i have some vibration with gh5 12-35 II with crane 2
what should i do ?
Are you using the internal stabilization of the GH5. I always keep it on. Some people say to keep it off but it's always made my shots smooth as heck!
1:49 HOLY SHIT, IT'S SHELDON =D #TheBigBangTheory
You absolute legend thank you
David Smith hahah dude you're awesome!
Why don't you take a video(GH5) 25 fps for real time moving of Zhiyun crane?
ruclips.net/video/G44On6sCvEo/видео.html
ok, Thanks!
Keep doing your thang! :)
Woods & Coastlands oh you know it!
so this set up has auto focus?
It does, but it isn't continuous sadly. Using that little control cable just allows you to push a button on the gimbal and it just picks an autofocus point. It's decent.
Which speed booster are you usng, and does the autofocus of the sigma lens works well with the gh5? i have this problem with SB XL + sigma 18-35 on GH4 autos focus doesnt work at all, it is always "hunting" for focus, does this happens with the gh5?
Esteban Bustos yes bro it happens with the gh5 sigma lens always hunt for focus ...
thanks for sharing.... but.... showing test footage in hella slow mo isn't really useful really... at 120p the gh5 can get those footages that you just shot handheld... it doesn't really show its flaws that way...
I'll be doing another test soon with real time footage! Thanks for the heads up man!
Some seller told me that this setup wont work, well... looks like it works ☺
Niro M I was nervous when first purchasing but so glad it works!
great video bro
Thanks big Harry
Is this the V2?
Chris Csepal that's a v1
Chris Csepal yeahhhhh V1, I got it like a week before V2 dropped hahaha
B R I L L I A N T - Cheers
Thanks for watching my very old video mate haha
is this v2?
V1 my friend!
Did you say Lawrence KS? Im from wichita ks.
YES! Let me know if you're in the area!
I have the moza air, you think the gh5 plus the 18-35 segma lens will balance on it?
I don't have that gimbal so I'm not sure. Check how much weight it's rated to hold.
Zachariah Mayfield I think it's 5.5 lbs
Wait what... what is this cable you have? You can control start/stop + focus with the cable? I need this thing!!!
Reubs Insane right?? Go to Amazon and search "Zhiyun GH4 control cable." Only $25!
GH5 vs FX3
it's strange but I have newest version of zhiyun crane - V2
latest firmware
sony a6000 + sigma mc-11 + sigma art 18-35 f/1.8
IT DOESN'T WORK
motors a weak even if I chose strong mode in the app
Despite Sony is lighter than gh5
Dude that's so freakin weird. I have a close buddy that's been telling me about his issues with V2. I'm actually really glad I'm rocking the V1. I sincerely hope you get it all sorted out man!
It's because a6000 is lighter and doesn't counterbalance the heavy lens. If you put a like 200 gram weight on the hotshoe of the a6000 it'd probably work better tbh
Tom Balino. i tried. it didn't help. as i said motors are weak
oh
Need to see normal speed footage.
Check out the pinned comment. I'll be making another test soon.
Very cool guy Ima check out your channel, good video too
Thanks homie! I'm just getting started so I really appreciate the support.
I'm not joking btw
Dude I am just seeing this comment and oh my gosh you are so encouraging man! Seriously this blesses me so much. Hope all is well!
Awesome :)
Never saw that before. Does that work with a sony. Kappa.
Fam I subbed!! I was at 2:15 love it. We should meet up cause I make vids to! Thx
JaymzVlogs HECK YES let's make a video sometime!
I didn't like the video so I gave you a thumbs up like you said. Did I do good?
We need more people like you in this world.
