Watching this after being offered my first flight paramedic position after a long 15 year road getting there. Thank you for making this and inspiring others.
This video inspired me I watched it right before I walked in to take my Flight Paramedic Exam. Today I get to fly air medical and SAR in the Colorado Rockies. Thanks for making it.
Thought I'd let you know I watched this video multiple times a day every day while I was applying to flight programs. I got hired 6 days ago. Thanks for the inspiration. Stay safe up there.
Do you have to pay for air ambulances in America because in U.K. to keep the patient from paying anything air ambulances are charity’s and solely rely on public donations and even though the government have offered to fund the air ambulances many times they always refuse government funding since they don’t the strings attached and some drugs they wouldn’t be able too use even though they are critical drugs in some cases they can cost £1500 for 10mg and they know that the government will not pay for those drugs
Max Hallman that makes sense that wouldn’t work in the U.K. since healthcare is payed by taxpayers so there’s no one going bankrupt because of hospital bills. But the there’s nothing actually stopping air ambulances from billing the patient or the ambulance service because they are private companies which aren’t even contracted by hospitals or ambulances services they are just offer they’re services and often have their own dispatcher in the 999 ambulance services control room constantly looking at every-call and basically triaging each call to see which call needs a doctor
I'm striving to become a flight nurse and I have a long road ahead. Today I was feeling down but this video relight my drive. Thank you so much! I can watch this video a million times over!

Its added to your hospital bill as the helos and flight personnel are contracted out by the hospital
