Amazing pilots. Watched London’s G-LAAB set down in a spot I would have never imagined large enough for a landing. Such a crucial service yet still charity funded.
I had a rollover incident in a Fiat as well several years ago while racing. While I was upside down, it felt like the car was slowing, and I thought to reach out to push the car up. Turns out, this is something of a human instinct. Luckily, I grabbed my harness and held on instead as when I watched the gopro video after, I found the car was rolling opposite to what I thought, and the car would have rolled over my arm. It was only through training that I could react as I did instead of following instinct
………don’t forget, in the UK, that many hospitals’ were built before helicopters’ were invented! Example, Addensbrook, Cambridge was founded in 1766! A helipad just can’t be built atop an older hospital, because weight comes into it…………
A lot weren’t built with a helipad in mind. Most are probably unable to install one even if they have funding due to the structure of the building or weight limit.
What a joke broken ankle, send the chopper ha ha , spending money like is freely, don't come to canada where you pay up $3000.00,-8000, so enjoy your free ride
@rachelgrey3608 wrong again there is nothing in law that state s they have any consent to do so without patients consent which they probably don't have
@@markhyde1714The patients status will change how they treat the scene. Non fatal will likely mean road can be opened faster and a lesser investigation can take place. Fatal or life threatening status would deem a road closure necessary for further investigation.
Perhaps to the letter of the law they don´t but that's pedantic! I was a special constable for many years, the services work in unison, each bringing their own specialities to the table in an ever changing scenario. The main reason for asking in this case is probably because the police will be the ones who have to inform the relatives and so they need a fairly accurate description of the injuries so that the family are well informed and comforted. Imagine how terrible it would be if a police officer were to turn up at the door with only half the story so that they have the agony of not knowing what's going on!
@ianmedium they wouldn't be allowed to knock on my door because if your not arresting me then no consent to be on my property let alone touch my door as it's illegal trespass and this is were more people need to put a stop to the establishment s illegal activities same as door to door inquiries they have no consent to be on your property
Gerry is a frickin’ legend.
for real!!
Poor Jamie suffering such severe injuries, I support his decision not to get back on a bike, his life is worth so much more.
So glad everybody’s OK and on the road to recovery. It’s a good ending when you don’t see that someone has passed away.☺️☺️
Thank you for your videos. I do wish you all a very merry christmas. Be safe out there.

I often wonder what one piece of jewellery from the Royal family auctioned off would bring the air ambulance.
You guys deserve medals and your lovely people to boot. 🐨🦘

Thanks so much for this!
It is so criminal that major trauma centres do not have helicopter landing pads on the hospitals.
I agree! In Australia almost all of our major hospitals have a helipad on them, so it’s weird seeing them without them there is England
I don’t think royal Berkshire hospital even has a landing pad down the road they use a park field next door

You are so correct. Its just ridiculous

Police have no legal rights whatsoever for any update on his condition
They do especially if it’s a RTC
