I got a 2013 terrain, love it. Just with regular maintenance, still going strong. Super comfy, seems very well put together, everything feels solid (including the plastic lol), and the ride is very nice. Mines the SLE-2 I think... heated seats, touch screen/backup camera, an awesome pioneer sound system with sub, remote start on key fob, you’re also able to control (start/stop, lock/unlock) these from your phone with the OnStar app. I start my terrain with my Google home on the daily... I also personally think the exterior design of the terrain has aged better than the equinox ?? It just looks so sharp and simple which is what a lot of vehicles go for these days. Great video!
Long winter warmups will ruin your engine. Just Google cylinder wash. Besides Scotty Kilmer says the same. You have heated seats then save yourself some gas and buy yourself a frost guard winter windshield cover. Covers the windshield and has theftproof features so in the morning you simply remove it and your windshield is completely clear. I really do not understand why people do not use these, they make so much sense.
@@scrambler69-xk3kv My reason is usually because I don’t remember to put it on lol. When I lived up north during the time of my comment, I was driving to work in -50°C weather so although not super great for the engine, it was worth remote starting to get in a car that’s not -50 inside lol.
we have a 2012 and have had a few problems with it. engine developed big time issues with only 45 thousand miles but they did step up and basically replace the engine. It's paid for but after having it this long it has some thing I HATE, the fan is far too loud, if rear windows are open to much rear tire noise seeps in. And blind spots everywhere, it took a long while to get use to it and to avoid them regularly. It does have GREAT traction ours is an All Wheel and it does handle with great ease in snow. If it was paid off and cars and trucks weren't through the roof would trade it off in a minute . Mileage is 58 ,825 looks great but it would be history if things were different
I just picked up a 2012 SLT with 35,000 miles on it for about 14,000 from a dealership. And that was only a few months ago and car prices are ridiculous right now
It has a 2.4 L ecotec motor very prone to many engine problems . Just giving viewers that warning . Had the timing chain and gaskets go before 80000 miles on my 2016 . It’s a well known design defect in those equinox and terrain models that effect the Pcv system , timing chain and pistons . Huge pain in the butt. Got rid of it .
And they drink oil, and if you do not check and top up your oil on a regular basis they do not last. So you must make sure you do not run it with a low oil level and it is very important that you use the right oil. Full synthetic 5w30 and it must say dexos approved.
It’s really too bad eh? I got rid of mine because of multiple problems. But I miss it, super comfy ride, super quiet inside, I loved driving it, and all the features were great. But the good still didn’t outweigh the bad
Buddy, love your video. I have a 2011 Terrain 6 cylinder 3.0 SLT, super satisfied with the performance and service. she's been with me since new. I love the "lifted" image you show ( are you proposing it or did you actually see it?) Any information you can share with us as to where to buy mods accessories will be appreciated. ernestoperezdad

All I see are positives for the gmc terrain, why is the cost of these so low?

They did away with the fog lights in the later years, it sucks.

Great Video ! I just subbed Whoot Whoot I also make Terrain Videos on my little 'ole channel !
The 2.4 engine is garbage, wont last more than 3 years because of bullshit engine.
Many common expensive to repair engine issues. Timing chain, start to drink oil after a couple of years of use.
