Thank you. I don't have a muffin top, bit I can't wear high rise jeans and tucked in shirts, cuz I have a flat, and I mean *flat* butt and a pooch in front. I look ridiculous with tucked waist.
I wouldn't have categorized this pair of jeans as a barrel one :S Maybe a Mom, but still too straight to be barrel... Too "shy" I think... If I go barrel, I need it to be more noticeable.
Currently sitting here watching your video in my conservative barrel leg jeans (they look very similar to yours, but are ankle length), tshirt, and black mary-janes with flat, silvwr studs. I love how this style of shoe looks with these jeans. Thanks for another fun video and styling ideas!
I love this cut for cropped pants it feels like 50s vintage sailor girl pants. Around here we mostly had the extreme wide leg pants. So they were hard to find. Unsure if they will look much different than my baggy straight leg jeans for cooler weather but maybe.
I have a pair bought from Target a few years ago. Same cut as yours with little embroided flowers all over which is why I bought them and they fit well. I wire a couple times, but I just don't feel my best in them Glad I only spent about 30 bucks on them. No to barrel jeans .
I love barrel jeans. They seem to compliment my petite stature. Great presentation of styling ideas. I really like the jeans you are wearing, but the price tag is just a bit above my budget. Do you like the Sam Edelman loafers? Are they comfortable? Thanks.
Wow! I didn't think it was possible for barrel jeans to look good lol Great job!!! Moto jacket style was my fav and the Vegan leather blazer outfit too ❤❤ tfs!
They fit different than the mom jeans in my opinion. They are lower rise and have less of a contour in the hips. The tapered leg is definitely similar though.
Great tips. Can I add take your oversized blazers to a tailor and have them shaped. It's not a difficult fix. If it's a quality piece it's worth the additional investment.
I love the ones I have but they are a little pricey. I linked all the ones I liked and you can find them in the description or on the View Products link on the screen of the video. I think the Madewell ones look great and I also liked the Walmart very version. It's in my Walmart haul video right before this one. 😊
I wished the rectangle with purchasing info could go somewhere else as it often covers your feet and can’t see full effect . I watch on an iPhone 15 and until those rectangles appeared it was fine. You have a lot of space in other side and covering the chair would not bother me
I think that the closest I'm going to get to Barrel jeans is a pair of Aeropostale Jeans I just found, they are 90's style medium wash high rise baggy jeans, easy through the thigh, relaxed straight leg. I am the spoon type of pear shape, and I don't like a lot of heavy fabric on my lower half, because my hips and bum are large enough, but these pants hug my waist and hips then get a little baggy in the thighs on down to taper off to the straight leg. These are very flattering for my figure and I'm so glad I found them. And yes, I purchased a jean jacket too and they look great together. The jean jacket by Express, comes down just to the top of my hips and is big enough around to give me upper bulk to even out the size difference between top and bottom. I'm very pleased with this outfit. As a spoon, pear type, I have yet to wear a long cardigan, because my butt/hips would be the star of the show. So I don't wear them, I wear mostly cropped jackets or at least sweaters and jackets/shackets that come down, the lowest, mid butt. because my butt is so prominent, wearing a shirt or jacket that comes down mid butt, cuts it off, so to speak and it gives the appearance that my butt is smaller. The twist tuck looks like fun, but I hardly have any button up shirts. I'll have to try on my winter flannel shirts. I'm not sure what dress shoes I want to wear with these baggy pants yet for Fall and Winter. I'm not a fan of ballerina flats or Mary Janes...not comfortable to me, but maybe I'll try a platform sneaker....I hate heels on shoes, they hurt my feet, so I've got my work cut out for me. Maybe chunky loafers would be an alternative then. Thanks hon for the ideas!
I got a pair barrel jeans thanks 😊 to you! ty! I like them. But I felt like the only thing that went with was kitten heel pointed toe above ankle boot 👢 😳?
I like the flats on most of the outfits. The shoes that the hems of the pants keep catching on would drive me crazy I’m short so mine would be longer so not sure if that would work?
Ya some shoes did catch but i think it's because they were right at the length that made them do that. I don't think if they were longer that that would.
I think it's personal preference. They look the best in my opinion at ankle length. Mine are a little longer but I choose the pair I have because they fit well everywhere else.
I personally love barrel jeans. I have thunder thighs and a bubble butt. The barrrl jeans fit in the butt and are baggy in the thighs. I have room to fit all of me in.
Darn it. I was looking for something more trendy and fun. Younger and less ‘frumpy’ no offense! I don’t care for the horseshoe pants, but instead, something in between.
I found the retail flag directing viewers to purchase the clothing items extremely distracting. It was difficult to view the entire outfit. I had to quit watching.
Wow twist tuck is genius, thank you 🙏
You are welcome! It really is!
Nice styling tips...if you have a flat waist. Could you do some styling tips for those of us with muffin tops?
Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely consider it!

🤣🤣🤣 That is ME to the *T* 🫱🏻🫲🏼
@@movtipsislee Glad to know I'm not the only one, lol! 😂

Too "shy" I think... If I go barrel, I need it to be more noticeable.
That sounds good but these are still considered a barrel and I think they are a true barrel jean.
You make all clothes look so good. I absolutely love your videos. Those jeans are perfect for you! Excellent outfit inspiration!
Thank you so much!! 😊
Thanks for sharing all the different ways of styling the jeans!! Flat mary janes look better!! 😊
Thank you!
Styling barrel jeans - yay! Thanks for all these great ideas! I love mine paired with a cropped jean jacket. It makes my waist look tiny. 😊
You are so welcome! I love that idea and I'm glad it makes your waist look tiny!
Thanks for all the time you put into these videos. I really love the comparisons of the dos and don’ts.
You are so welcome!
Love my barrel jeans. Thank you.

Lots of good pointers. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

Love the grandpa sweater!!
Me too! Thanks!
Those barrel jeans are darling on you! Love how you styled them. Great video, Jamie!❤
Thank you!
Fun video, thanks for the inspiration

Hello. Where did you buy the clothes stand that’s shown in your video? I would greatly appreciate it if you can share where. ❤
Will you have a video on how to wear a cardigan and look modern ?
That's a good idea! I can add it to my idea list. Thank you!
Thank you for your great content and cheerful personality @@YourGuideToStyle
These remind me of the jeans I wore in the 80s.
Yeah. When they used to call them tapered jeans. Which as far as I can see is what they are.
They actually are tapered jeans, lol! 😝
Yep! 😂
Same here lol. At least they don't have those horrible pleats at the top😅
@@brookebenton8192 True.
Those do NOT look like barrel jeans?
Those are what a true barrel jeans looks like.
You may be confusing barrel jeans with the more extreme horseshoe jeans which are really clown-like.
Look like skinny jeans
I agree! That's not a barrel!
I understand what you mean! I bought barrel jeans at UO two years ago and they made me look bow-legged.
I love barrel jeans. They seem to compliment my petite stature. Great presentation of styling ideas. I really like the jeans you are wearing, but the price tag is just a bit above my budget. Do you like the Sam Edelman loafers? Are they comfortable? Thanks.

@@petratuccino717 I bought a pair of barrel chinos at Banana Republic and they hide my thunder thighs. For that reason I’m a fan 😊
@@cinven38 oh makes sense! Ty and now you have great ideas to style them!
That's awesome!
I am so glad you think so! I loved those outfits too!
GREAT video ‼️
Thank you!
Didn't they call these mom jeans a few decades ago. I will pass. They just aren't flattering and are void of any style no matter how you pair them.
They fit different than the mom jeans in my opinion. They are lower rise and have less of a contour in the hips. The tapered leg is definitely similar though.
The flat mary janes go better bc only one strap with the bow 'strap' coming down? Looking good 👍!
Thanks!
My own don't for barrel jeans is JUST DONT😂

Yes so I can see it better. Love your channel by the way.

Chunky loafer first, but other loafer would be fine
I do like the flats better than the heels.
Awesome! Thanks!
I like the flats on most of the outfits. The shoes that the hems of the pants keep catching on would drive me crazy I’m short so mine would be longer so not sure if that would work?
Ya some shoes did catch but i think it's because they were right at the length that made them do that. I don't think if they were longer that that would.
Basically you style barrel jeans similar to wide leg.
Some similar.
Denim on denim is called a Canadian tuxedo 😂
Eh? 😂😂😂😂
Yes!
Ok..... now you have me thinking I could like to wear barrel jeans
Lol, they can be really cute! 👍
Chunky loafers!
What are barrel jeans???
I’m a tall girl-where should the barrel jean hit on my leg?

Yes your styles look nice , however need looks for women with menopause belly .
Looks great on your skinny little body.
What you ate wearing doesnt look barrel jeans to me more like a mom jeans
It is definitely a barrel jeans but they are similar to the mom jeans.
Birkenstocks so easy but so ugly😂😂!!
Lol, they certainly can be!
She looks uncomfortable by the constant movement of her feet n legs. Makes her appear to be standing with bent knees at all times.
Those aren’t barrel jeans ?!

Flat Mary Janes!

These jeans are just not really flattering for anyone! Too much can go very wrong! I will try any other jean but this!😜👍
Yes, they can go wrong really fast lol. But it is fun styling them!
