I think it did green up. The only way to really test it would be to cover the pee spots when applying the GreenShocker so this way the pee spots don't get greener as well. Maybe the real solution is to collect dog pee and spray it out with a hose end sprayer so that it would be applied evenly lol. Great review Sunny
Used a bag of PGF Complete on zoysia front yard, Scott’s sorry ass spreader malfunction I think but have green racing stripes in yard. Funny enough gonna try and even it out with green shocker. I second the F Doc 😂😂
Your lawn would look like Augusta National Golf Course if you had more dogs.😊 I just put down Anderson Deep Green today and am waiting to see how it works.
Probably one of the best ways to determine the effectiveness of a product would be to divide your front yard in half and just apply the product to one side and not the other. Doc will do this with a test strip sometimes. Did you ever find out what the prill size was? Was it real dusty when applying or was the residue on your spreader due more to the fine size of the prill. Curious as to whether the dust would require a face mask or not.
Yes, I should have done half the yard. It’s SGN 75, should be in video somewhere. The dust wasn’t too bad. I don’t think a dust mask would be needed. It was mostly due to the prill size I believe.
I think it helped slightly. That spreader is nice! Need to cut my bermuda and put down some fert, was going to use milorganite since I had a couple bags leftover from early summer. Iron and nitrogen will help the color more in my opinion. My backyard is ttt fescue, definitely needs aerateed and overseeded in Oct.
Interesting video. I’m in BHM with some almost alkaline red clay soils. and for my yard, I’ve found Ammoniacal Nitrogen does work best. I think that’s what’s in GS. Ive gotten great results this year with GrowORR 13-0-13. I like the Ewing growtrxx but it has MOP, and the soil test I have leans me more towards the SOP. Great video and thanks for sharing the test! I agree with you, I don’t see much results.
@@SunnyBermuda it’s always hard to tell from just one app though. I’ve tried to do fert apps on video and you can barely tell the difference sometimes lol. Especially on camera you can hardly tell sometimes. Contrast my front yard to the back yard that gets NO fertilizer and it’s night and day though.
I put greenshocker down last week also. I put it down after bringing HOC down, scarifying and verticut. I honestly could not tell a difference. I look at the grass too much maybe I just dont notice 🤣. I'm sure it greens up but not enough to be called Shocker. The prill size is like dry beach sand. Probably much better as a spring app with the quick release Nitrogen. Will try again in the spring.
I purchased 1 bag and followed the directions precisely. I also watered the grass every 12 hours afterward and it rained one day also. I did not see any results at all. I'm 35 miles south of downtown Atlanta with a bermuda lawn as well.
We should have seen results. May be due to the fact that dormancy is creeping in. I have another bag and plan to give it a shot next Spring when growing activity is better.
I purchased a bag of green shocker as well, sometime in April, I did not notice any difference in my lawn color ( Tifgreen Bermuda ) I still get better results by just using 16 16 16 fertilizer. My grass is GREEN but not any darker than what the grass will produce.
For everyone buying this stuff, it's just ammonium sulfate with a little bit of iron. Save your money. Buy a 50lb bag of ammonium sulfate from Site One, Ewing, or your local feed store for like $20. Greenshocker only has like .5% iron in it. Buy yourself a bottle liquid iron with 6% iron and get a darker green lawn and get more applications. The Humic acid? Does it help? Who knows.
If you can get some Biosol Forte and spread out 50 lbs and then a week later another 50 lbs you'll be set. This stuff is amazing works best in the summer. I think the green shocker worked out really nice !!
I’ve bought a lot of Anderson’s products, like the PGF Balance as well as the PGF complete. This one I can’t seem to justify the price. It seems you would get better results at a more cost effective rate spraying chelated iron. But if your not comfortable spraying then this might be a good solution ?
Like you I fell for the scam. Wasted $$$ on this and the humichar. I dumped an entire bag of Humichar on my 7000 lawn. Using the broadcast setting of 7 instead of the 3 as the bag recommended. I'll stick to the organic stuff from now on. Cheaper too compared to this. I use purely organics and sometimes mix it with the Procare natural since it has iron. I really shouldn't be wasting money on fertilizers. I think mulching while mowing should be enough for my lawn.
Looks like it worked lie any other quick release. I think Doc threw it down a few more times during a period. I like sprays for quick shots of green or growth. Super juice 3/4 of a bag per year over 3200 sq ft of tiffway. Works well
@@johnhamilton9229 Ah, that makes sense. Super Juice is a better buy for the price compared to Green Shocker too, assuming they work equivalently. It's a little more work in terms of spraying it versus using a spreader, but you get so many more applications out of the ~$100 Super Juice bag versus the single use ~$47 bag of green shocker.
@@larryclausen8907 I think you're right. It's been over a 1 1/2 weeks now and I'm finally starting to see the green. Thought I would see it faster especially with the slow rain we had after applying.
Nice results 👍I think you should nickname your dog "green shocker".
Ha! Yes! Great name for the dog. Bad new is if I was up on my fert schedule those areas could possibly have been brown from too much N. 👍
LOL

Thank you! Yeah, thought about hooking up my dog to the sprinkler. 😂 Yes, I should have covered the green spots. Great idea!
Where u been
Changed jobs so my video releases have been slow
Where do you buy your products from?
Got this one from andersonshomeandgarden.com
It looks about the same to me honestly
Agreed, probably applied too late in Fall to show a decent result in Bermuda.
Only thing that helped it was the rain lmfao.

For real! 😂 I just got a bag of the deep green too. Hope to try it soon!
Doesnt look like it greend up at all, tbh...
Lawn already looks real good so...maybe hard to improve in that 😅
👍 Had better results with their Lean & Green. Thanks! 😎
Since it's a powder can this be mixed with hot water and sprayed on?
Yes, I believe so. Each particle is DG so it should be easy to dissolve and spray on the lawn.
To bad it didnt help anything. Still looks the same as day one.
Yeah, probably a little late in the season when I used it in this video. 🤷♂️

Thank you! The spreader rolls great, highly recommend. How does your fescue hold up in the heat of summer?
not worth the money if the results are no more than what i see
Agree, but I did apply close to Fall so that could be a factor. Wonder if applying now would see a difference on Bermuda.

Yes, that is correct about the Nitrogen. Have you tried the Empro liquids? I think they’re my new favorites. Cheap, too.
@@SunnyBermuda I haven’t tried them yet, but I will!
I think it definitely evened out a bit after a couple of days. The Anderson’s makes good stuff. That rain only helped.
I don't know, I think it looked evened out because I cut the top growth on those spots. We'll see when I try again in Spring. Thanks for watching!

Nice Sunny! Make sure to follow up with us and let us know how long the green lasts! Good job!
Sure will, you think it greened up much?
@@SunnyBermuda yes sir!!!!
I must be blind because I don’t see it. I throw down often.

Thank you for sharing. I've had a lot of luck this season with the 16-0-8 as my phosphorus is on the high end.
I used it last year in the spring on Saint Augustin. It works spring or summer I had bad luck un the fall.
☀️Yeah, I should’ve kept it and used in Spring or Summer.

Got my bag ammonium in the garage along with several bottles of iron. Big Ewing’s fan here. 😎
This stuff is amazing.....however try it in the spring and early summer during the active growing season rather than the fall.
Yes, I’ll have to try it in the Summer. It’s kind of pricey for my big yard.
I don't think it green up at all, try doing half of the front yard and see if you notice a difference...
☀️Yeah, I’ll try half the yard if I get anymore. Think it was close to Fall when I applied is why I didn’t see much of a green up?
Man if your dog spots get that green and don’t burn I’d probably have gone x2 the recommended ragbag rate.
Thinking the same thing. Odd thing is those spots are first to green up now, too. 🤔

Kind of hard to tell. Maybe just a little bit however it is really late in the growing season for bermuda. Try again in the spring/summer.
Yes, I will definitely try again in the late Spring. 👍
Great video... best way to tell is to take a picture from the same area and same angle and time of day. But i think it looks greener on day 5.
Yes, got another bag to try this Spring.
For that price as well as the claims made. I don’t think it did as much as promised.
No, definitely didn't live up to it's name. It is pricey, too, for 16 lbs.
I would like to see it after it's had a few days of dry weather after the rain and during warmer weather as well.
I’ll post some pics to Instagram soon.

3/4 of a bag of Super Juice for 3200 sqft?! One bag is for ~44,000 sqft, 3/4 would be ~33,000 sqft. That’s about 10X the rate. Is that correct?
