Knife Edge: Nose Gunner, known in Japan and Europe as Knife Edge (ナイフ・エッジ), is a video game for Nintendo 64 made by Kemco. It was released November 27, 1998 in Japan and November 10, 1998 in North America.
Knife Edge is for one to four players. The player, while moving between the locations of the game in the Knife Edge ship, controls a cursor that fires vulcan cannon bullets. When more than one player is playing each cursor is color-coded to distinguish them. As well as the regular gun, there is the option for a secondary weapon. Hints are provided by a commanding officer over the communication system.
Movement of the vehicle is clearly predetermined, but the player is given some ability to move in the form of the four C-buttons on the Nintendo 64 controller. When a button is depressed the ship will move slightly in the corresponding direction. This is used primarily to avoid obstacles and attacks. - Игры
Been trying to find this game for like 10 years lol , finally re established the nostalgia and that memory as a kid.
Me too... more like 20 years here. After another failed google attempt, I was like "fuck it" and went over the ~390 N64 games list on wikipedia piece by piece and by around the middle, lo and behold.....
This game surely has one of *the* most randomly-designed, yet extremely memorable bosses of any game ever... Even after some 20 years I can still easily remember them
IM SO HAPPy for this upload, I had forgotten about this game and now it brought a whole slew of memories back
Could never beat this game.. Loved using the lasers..
FINALLY found it. My mom let me rent this game from the local video star as a kid. Couldn’t remember anything about it but I have an image burned in my head of the first boss that I could never beat lol.
Oh damn, the memories that start menu brings back!
This game was hard af. The nostalgia
Forgot how much of a banger the opening theme is
Is insane how good the OST of this game is. Never could beat the game back in the day lmao
I loved this game. Was a bit challenging so I couldn’t reach far.
ボス戦の音楽がホントにカッコいい
I remember renting this. Ah, childhood nostalgia.
Never could beat the final boss, even with multiple players.
One thing irks me here, though: why is it none of the playthroughs I can find on RUclips make use of any secondary weapons?
That soundtrack is amazing.
34:00 is awesome
