- After making 2308; it was inevitable that at some point I'd make a custom Dean Goods to actually resemble James. Today we take a look at that said model! :)

Rest In Peace, Seth.
So incredibly honored to have helped out in this! I'm so happy you're pleased with the results! Can't wait to work with you again in the future!
Very beautiful and tributsive model there mate, hope your brother rests in peace. May his memory live on for years to come.
Honestly, before hand I was sort of against the larger face, but I’m starting to vibe with it now! Great job as always Lance!
As a certified Dean Goods enjoyer, I can confirm that James officially has drip.
Hey I got a good idea for the head canon for James
In regards to the whole debate regarding James' basis in relation to the illustrations, my head cannon explanation is that James could've arrived on the railway as a standard 0-6-0 goods engine (Whichever 0-6-0 though is up to your own interpretation). However, after his big crash The Fat Director took the opportunity to have James rebuilt with a new pony truck thus making him the signature 2-6-0 that we all know him as. The reason being that the lack of a pony axle at high speeds could cause him to oscillate violently and as proven could lead to disaster when navigating corners at such speeds. The rebuild would also reclassify him as a mixed traffic locomotive thus broadening his job skillset and allowing him to substitute for other engines on passenger trains. Perhaps this 0-6-0 James could be representative of his pre-crash condition.
I'd love to see the pony truck version. As beautiful as this is, seeing James without the extended running plate is very uncanny valley.
Initially I found the large face a bit jarring, but with the proportions of the Dean goods it looks fabulous!
I don't know how you do it, man. Your dedication is unmatched, and always leaves me impressed. Great job. Rest in peace, Seth.
I think the bond you and your brother have with this project will live on through this model! 💙
Seth is definitely smiling & laughing at your amazing work from above!
Never thought I'd see the day James becomes a Dean Goods. But I guess it only makes sense, as it looks quite similar to the Class 28, only it stands out a good deal more. I think your brother is proud of the way you've detailed this model, he looks fantastic.
Honestly, I think that it looks about what he would look like irl, Smashing Job!
Ever since I saw the 2308 video, the concept of James being a dean goods never left my head and now I wanna get a dean goods just to make james
Fat Controller: James, until I can trust you again, I will be taking away your pony truck and put you on goods.
Wow, what a model - really inspired me to finish off my rws 16! Thanks
I send my condolences to Seth.
Am incredibly sorry for your loss ! However you did an absolute amazing job on the engine and the video as a whole! What an amazing tribute 🧡 keep up the good work bud.
I'm glad to be named Dean! (Edit: 1: Thanks for the heart TrainBoy, 2: HOLY SMOKES, This is awesome! wish I had as much skills as you)
