Brilliant live performance of a beast of a song, really impressed how good they still are to be honest i'm getting more into the cure now more than i've ever done & i'm in my 40's i should have listened to more of their stuff when i was younger & i probably would have seen them a few more times
Moin, I´m german. You are right Olivia Bordley. We had the past in music. To my mind in one hundred years people will admire these decades of british music. I really loved the `Stones` and the `Beattles`and so on... But I know that in the future a band like `The Cure`will be as relevant as Beethoven.
I saw them from the VIP box, and considering they were oldest band there and bar no means the heaviest, they rocked harder than a lot of the heavy stuff!!
Great memories in Mexico City. Suddenly I stop, But I know it's too late I'm lost in a forest, All alone The girl was never ther, It's always the same I'm running towards nothing,Again and again and again and again
Boris Williams and Andy Anderson had wonderful drumming styles that suited this bands sound . Jason seems too limp even boring in his technique. Watch boris and andy play these songs in the 80s sooo much better.
+Hayden Wittig why even watch the video if you're not a fan of The Cure? Im curious as to why someone, who doesnt like a member of a band, waste their time watching the video, and even more time commenting! If I thought you were a fan, I'd ask where is your loyalty to the band ? I mean , Its not like Jason hasn't been The Cure's drummer for over 20 years.
and if you listen closely , you will find they all sound different than from the 80's ..they are all older and the guy doing the mix is someone else ...and this tune is via the net ..on some crap bit rate ..still sound great though . Hayden you are stuck in the past dinosaur :-)
Always great to hear this song live but their 81 version where it was just a bass a drummer and Robert and they played this for over 9 minutes, just to piss off Robert Palmer is a better version.
one of the top songs of the 20th Century
My favorite Cure tune of all time !!!!!
Robert Smith's voice never change. One of my favorite song from The CURE ! 🖤🎼🎶🎤🎸
wow his voice still as great!

exactly the same as me!
I said exactly the same to my mate the other week. I never bothered listening to them. Now I realise they are one of the greatest bands of all time
They were just awesome, the sound was spot on....love to see them again.
The atmosphere of this song is simply unparalleled...haunting,bone-chilling and dark at the same time.Fuckin' amazing.
Smith has a TON of integrity! He's been performing this song for THIRTY YEARS!
After years they still been the same great music and musicians!!!! I love it ,,,,!!
When the music touches your soul...
A timelessly great song.
Fantastic still as good as ever.

lovely post I saw them in 78 they were brilliant
must have been awesome to watch them at the beginning of their career. I tried to follow a concert in the 80th.

I ‘am lucky …I saw them 17th times .. the first one in 1986 and the last one 4 months ago ( November 2022 ) ..!!
Came from a vid of them playing this in 81. Twice the number of musicians, 400 more lights, 62 extra kilos of dry ice and about .002% of the energy.
The Cure's like a bottle of single malt, gets better with age.."AWSOME"
Was there! Was immense!
Zeitlos, fesselnd und bewegend. Großartig!!!!!
One of their best live shows.
I saw them from the VIP box, and considering they were oldest band there and bar no means the heaviest, they rocked harder than a lot of the heavy stuff!!

Min listen closely feel that difference. By they way have listened to this band very closely since 1980.
and if you listen closely , you will find they all sound different than from the 80's ..they are all older and the guy doing the mix is someone else ...and this tune is via the net ..on some crap bit rate ..still sound great though . Hayden you are stuck in the past dinosaur :-)

The cure a forest live in orange 1986 roman theatre greatest vers ever a band at their peak The versions of all versions in France. Nothing compares.
Jason'ek stuka jakby nie mógł się wysrać! Żeby tak spierdolić A Forest.
I THINK YA YOUNG FOLLKS ARE RIDICULOUS---GET IT=---INTO TE LATRINE
Trhegoedzange
Thecure
better than the original one
Kept thinking he looks like the halloween Micheal Meyers mask. Shatner inside out. Watch the 79 version. Time is cruel
Music is timeless

Is Porl Thompson still a man?
James Scott That's not Porl. And Porl changed his name to Pearl but he's still a man.
Why in the world did the drummer change the scheme of this classic? Was he just lazy?
Mouais ça me fait penser à ces vieux acteurs de théâtre qui finissent par jouer leur propre rôle.

France is a nation full of grumpy 🤨
Jason Cooper is such a horrible drummer. Bring back Lol, Boris or Andy
Yeah, someone should've told the guy that even as a drummer you're supposed to PLAY the song and not just PLAY ALONG with it...
