Serves 3-4
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 30 min
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
1 Small Onion (Diced) - 1/2 cup
1 Tomato (Diced)
2 Cups Rice - Any kind of rice will work (Make sure to follow the appropriate cooking instructions)
4 Cups Liquid - Chicken stock or Water (Or a combination of both - The more chicken stock the more flavorful your Pilaf will turn out)

Love rice pilaf
can I use baldo rice??
Thank you so much my beautiful queen 👌👏🌹
is this type of rice in Yekaterinburg, if yes pleas let me its market name
What did you garnish the rice with ?
+brandon scott Cilantro
Can i add saffron flower or something that enhance the color more ?
absolutely, positively you can. or tumeric in place of saffron
What kind of rice are you using?
Soggy means it's been cooked too long? Or not enough? Looks delicious tho ty
Can I use Moroccan Spices to this rice
Use any seasonings you like.
+A's Cookbook I like this recipe but I'm not able to balance the water level and heat to make the rice as fluffy as you make it. The amount of water/broth that I add is twice that of rice but I I'd still get saugy rice at the end. Please please please help me. What am I doing wrong?????
You could be adding to much water
TheRainbowskittlesbb Would you please be kind to give me the correct water to rice ratio?
+Jenny Adams add 2 cups instead of four see how that comes out
+Jenny Adams I honestly didn't use four cups of water I used two and a half I felt four was to much water and it was it came out perfect with two and a half and after u cook and turn off heat let it sit for a good five min or more to and get a fork and fluff it
+TheRainbowskittlesbb Oh that makes much sense. Thanx a lot for caring to answer. Awesome guy. ♡
No arpa/orzo?
I have been eating this since I was a kid didn't knew it's called rice pilaf 😂 we call it pulav.
When the rice was added, was it rinsed & raw ? I use Basmati rice.
I'm here from Soma's fragrantless fried rice.
Do I have to soak the rice if im using Basmathi?
You can if you have time, but its not necessary...
A's Cookbook tq
I made this and it turned out good! Tq. 😍😍😍
Do you wash the rice before putting it into the pan?
Definitely !
@@vforvincentt thanks for the reply! :D
@@ferroherre9906 no worries pal ! :*
Is chicken stock is necessary can't we pour plain water reply fst.....,........
Niraja Ravikumar You can make it using plain water as well but it won't taste as flavorful. You can add some frozen veggies (after cooking the onions) or add some vegetable stock to add flavor. If you don't have any of those available then just use plain water. Hope that helps!
Yes chicken stock would add more flavour, but I did not have any on hand and used water. It came out just as delicious.😃
Do you wash the rice to get rid of starch?
it is recommended to wash, also it will greatly reduce chance of sticky rice
Was the cup you used a measuring cup or was it the tiny cup for rice the cooker?
Mine came out a bit mushy I think I added too much water or stock 😫😫😫😫😫
there is water in the tomatoes, and onions.....
is greek food ??
yes
Toast your rice people! You're missing out on huge flavor!
never heard of toasted rice! how is that done??
William Hurt sauté raw white rice with some butter until it takes on a yellowish color and starts to smell nutty, then add your wet stuff. It elevates rice dishes so much
@@jackh67 that is true pilaf, thank you sir....i made rice pilaf once, my mom asked me to show her how. we enjoyed pilaf for 30 years...
Where is the orzo
You burned the garlic. That makes it bitter. Add it just before adding the tomatoes, which will all the rawness to cook out but will prevent burning.
No the garlic wasn't burnt at all. Burnt garlic looks dark brown and is used in some dishes. The garlic in this recipe has no chance of burning because as soon as it started turning golden brown onions and tomatoes were added and the water released from those would have brought down the temperature.
I don't think amateur cooks like you should be judging other people's food. Lol
No mention as to whether it's supposed to be cooked or uncooked rice that you add. ????????
Uncooked
I made this recipe it tastes wonderful but it looks soggy and i left it for 25minutes , maybe the rice i used wasn’t the one for this Rice Pilaf … Thank You 🥰♥️
Do you put cooked rice? Won't it get soggy?
It was uncooked rice
I really like this amazing rice pilaf recipe. One of the best ever rice pilaf recipe i have ever tried so far. Also do check out my special rice pilaf recipe as well. Check out the recipe here: www.foodybud.com/rice-pilaf-recipe-crunchy-creamy-sweet/
