- How to repair the Dot Projector when it wont read your face. It will say to move up and down trying to position your face in the field of view but it will never start to map it out.

can you tell me how i can find out the truedepth serial? I have 1 iphone 12 pro with damaged face id, the original old flex was cut without the connector piece. I took the projector off, I put it on the new flex, I took off the little piece and made the jumper. ok I read in the JCID everything Normal. so it doesn't have the serial and it doesn't work on the cell phone. Is there any way to find out the serial to be able to record on the new flex?

I am having a Querry
My face id is asking to move phone lower and higher.
But my Dot projector and flex cables are working fine.
We checked it on Flex cable data copying Device
Face Id status is normal.
Portrain mode is working Fine.
But still face id is not working

Does the no-soldier version of this repair using the Clone-DZ03 that you did a video on work for this specific "stuck at move up and down" Face ID issue?
I have found that issue to be more with the alignment of the dot projector and the infrared camera. Sometimes a replacement screens bracket can put tension on them or there's something blocking the view path of one of them.

Great video. I am confused at 4:20 when you remove a small IC chip then in the next frame it looks like there is a jumper wire. IS this correct?

How about that little metal plate that was welded to dotprojector lens and to chip plate? I did not se u connect it back?
Good observation, but no need to weld it back together. The way I cut it leaves the main part that is needed to secure it in the phone attached instead of grinding the whole thing off like done in other videos.
@@FIXDPHONES Not the frame that u grind. Component that has 3 pins on top, 3 pins down. U can see top side of it, when u look it in phone as it is. Right side of dotprojector lens.
